I had a wonderful golden tour yesterday with Laura. She is amazing! She’s a very skilled driver, knowledgeable, and she accommodated my mom’s language barrier. We are very happy. ☺️

Hello, the tour was great, the guide was very friendly, and the food was delicious and hot. We saw some very large and beautiful auroras.

We found the northern lights 😃👍

I booked the tour in the morning, communication around pick up times was very good. We were picked up promptly, collected several other people from across the city and headed out to the national park.

We were very lucky and did get to see the Northern Lights although this is a natural phenomenon so would have happened on any tour. Sadly some of the locations were quite busy as we were taken to the usual tourist spots and locations where the big coaches were congregating. This made it difficult to see the Northern Lights at times due to vehicles constantly moving and blinding you with their lights. I chose a small group tour to avoid this.

Part of the package included some "professional" photos. These were done at one stop briefly. When asked at another stop where the display was phenomenal if they were going to take any more photos I was told no. Both the guide and photographer then sat in the mini bus. We were at that location for some time and there would have been ample opportunity to take some photos.

I also asked at one stage for some tips on how to take a good photo, sadly I wasn't given any advice but told they would take some professional ones. That would have been great but as stated above did not happen despite 4 different stops. We only got the three photos taken at one stop and none of just the Northern Lights themselves, they were sadly not great quality at all.

There was also mention of "pastries" I believed there would be a selection so we could try several different Icelandic pastries but instead there was one small pastry provided. I did complain to the tour company about our experience the following day and we were offered a 15% refund and their communication was excellent.

Overall I am very disappointed in the tour given the amount of money paid. Especially as this is a holiday that is very unlikely to be repeated. I am very privileged and happy we did get to see the Aurora Borealis but disappointed by the overall tour. I would suggest looking for another tour company. Should you wish to do a small group tour.

Our guide, Nebo, was amazing. He predicted they would come out and let us wait to see the Northern Lights. And he didn’t disappoint despite the forecast saying quiet.

Everything was wonderful! Piotr is the best guide; he's very kind, patient, and explained everything perfectly. He's super friendly and made the whole experience more enjoyable and fun.

Edgar was great! We got to see the northern lights and he took us to the best place near a lake where we got the bets photos! Lovely tour guide and great experience.

Very Kind, clear and confortable

In early March 2025, my wife was watching a YouTube video about the northern lights and it was then she decided that our vacation would include a trip to Iceland. Edgar was our fantastical tour guide. It rained most of the day but Edgar took us to a spot and we saw the northern light. It was awesome. Thanks Edgar see you agin!! Bless Bless

Edgar was such a good guide. He didn’t stop until we got to a spot where the Northern Lights appeared even briefly.

We did the Golden Circle tour in Reykjavik, Iceland. Our cruise was scheduled to arrive in port at noon and didn’t arrive until 4:00 PM. Nordur Travel did a good job adjusting to that late arrival and offered a modified tour. We were still able to see two of the sites, and we appreciated that, but we were disappointed we didn’t get to see more.

Emilia gave us history, geography and language titbits- obviously timings governed by daylight hours so not alot of wiggle room

First of all, our ship was four hours late. The tour operator made it possible for the excursion to run four hours later. Our driver, Karol, provided a wealth of information and shortened the travel time. The tour would certainly have been even more enjoyable at the normal time, but it's still highly recommended. Only the distribution of the travelers among the buses could be optimized. However, everyone made it (7 small buses).

Karol was an incredible tour guide and story teller; he was friendly, funny, welcoming, and informative of Iceland’s history. Nordur was communicative, responsive, and accommodating to a last minute change in the cruise ship’s schedule changing to a night tour. Finding the correct bus was a bit chaotic and disorganized but no one was left behind. Would definitely recommend touring with this company and Karol!

George our driver was excellent. All of the views were amazing from the waterfalls to Geysir

It was a cloudy night but our guide Marieke did well to find a good spot where the clouds cleared up. After a bit of time we got a great show of the northern lights.
