Don’t waste your money on this unstable…

Don’t waste your money on this unstable product. No matter what internet connection or device you use, the connection is always buffering and trying to reconnect.
In UK trying to connect to UK (fastest) connection there’s a joke, surely nothing difficult in that. When you try to connect them it’s an email which would be fine, except you then receive a confusing return email. Just another way of kicking the can down the road.
It’s not as though it’s a cheap product either and the number of expensive upgrades they try scaring you into buying is ridiculous.

Connectivity issues and even worse…

Connectivity issues and even worse customer support.

​I am extremely frustrated with NordVPN. For a premium service, the performance on Android devices is unacceptable. The app constantly hangs and fails to connect on my Google Pixel 7 Pro, often just sitting on a loading screen indefinitely.
​Additionally, a recent update has completely broken the app on my Amazon Fire TV Stick. Despite being connected via Ethernet to high-speed broadband, the app claims there is no internet connection. The only "fix" is to disconnect my stable wired connection and use Wi-Fi, which is a ridiculous workaround for a professional VPN.
​To make matters worse, the customer support experience was a complete waste of time. I spent nearly an hour on live chat being bounced between three different agents, forced to repeat my issue multiple times despite being told they were "catching up" on the case. Their "solution" was to have me sideload a different APK version via a third-party app—an unstable and unprofessional fix for a service that should work natively.
​When I asked to lodge a formal complaint, I was told it wasn't possible over chat.
Constant connection drops, broken updates, and unhelpful support.

Absolutely appalling service

Absolutely appalling service , I have been asking for a password reset link via email nw for 2 months . They never send it . All the do is send you instructions how to request a link , when you do this it does not arrive. Do not subscribe to this company at any cost , disgraceful

One thing worth trying in the meantime is requesting the reset link using a different browser or checking your spam and junk folders, as the emails occasionally get filtered there.

Seems to do the job well

Seems to do the job well. It hides in the background. invisible, doing it's thing. The only time I'm aware of it is when I hit the sites that have a problem with VPN.
Hope to do a dedicated IP at some point to resolve that issue.

NordVPN staff respond to requests for assistance in an expeditious manner and always provide recommendations as to how best mitigate any concern or request for information. I have been using NordVPN for years and just renewed for another 2-year period. NordVPN has always met my expectations as a product to meet all of my needs.

4 times the price on the automatic renewal

I signed an abonnement with them 2 years ago. It was 1348 SEK for 2 years for a VPN service.
It was automatically renewed this year with doubled price and only for 1 year. And it also seems like all of a sudden I had to pay for a "Ultra package" (there is no information that I could find on what the package includes on their homepage). But it was more than I ordered since I only wanted VPN service.

great for speed but streaming may not work

I purchased a 2 year plan, and 6 months on- here is my honest opinion. The company claimes that you will get fewer adverts and can access otherwise geoblocked streaming contents.
For ads, NO, I got more ads when I use this while listening to podcasts.
It used to have obfuscated settings on app(android) and now it no longer exists so more apps reject vpn connection. If I hadn't already paid till Oct 2027, I would have cancelled my subscription for this reason alone.

If you want to stream Netflix, Prime, Disney+ using nordvpn, you need to change some settings and still it is a hit and miss.
And for Prime, it doesn't work at all.

Having said that, the speed itself is reliable, there are moments where I had to disconnect the vpn to improve the speed but it is rare.
So,
It is great for security, and privacy and it also scans the dark web data leak for you.
But for streaming, I am not sure this is the best option.
