terrible quality for a pair that cost more than 200 euros. After using them once a week within a year, sole is detached on the front side, not water proofed from the get go... customer servie is inexistant...

I returned the item as it didn't fit

I returned the item as it didn't fit. You pay for the return postage out of the refund, and they send you an email saying that once the item is received in their warehouse, it can take 14 business days for a refund. They received my shoes on August 29, 2024. As of October 3, I still haven't received the refund. Either extremely bad processes or they have stolen my money.

Edit Order delivered!

Order a pair of linen shoes 28th July to Switzerland but there was a glitch in their system with my model and size being sold out, I asked for another color and got that within a few days.

The previous shoes ordered in 2021 are great but it’s not a large company and when things get wrong there will be delays. The shoes that arrive hold same nice feeling as 2021 pairs that I got. No2 linen indigo is the model that I got.

Fraud!

Fraud. I have purchased a pair of shoes from North-89 by 2nd of June 2024. Money was withdrawn 4th of June 2024 but I have never received the shoes.

After several written contacts to the company I only heard from them once with the reply that they would investigate and come back. 2 weeks later I have still not heard from them. I have asked them to refund my money which they have not replied.

Don’t buy any thing from them.

Loafers burst within 3 days

Loafers burst within 3 days. Took 7 weeks to return a replacement. The replacement they sent was their prototype with fake suede and no internal structure. The jelly based turned completely yellow within 1 month. Both pairs have been trashed. High recommend not purchasing from this brand.

As mentioned in our communication the shoes were out of stock and we sent the replacement as soon as we could. The suede is actually a higher quality suede compared to last year and we have removed the lining to make shoes more breathable and comfortable. The natural rubber sole does turn slightly yellow after a while but this is a natural process with rubber.

Terrible customer service

Good looking and comfortable shoes that unfortunately lacks in quality.
I’m on my fifth pair of sneakers from North-89 but the stitching on the rubber sole have loosened on all of them after a few months use causing the sole to fall off eventually.
I’ve now tried to exchange my two latest pair of shoes due to this and submitted returns in their return portal as instructed. It’s now been half a year, multiple emails and several attempts to get in contact via the chat without receiving exchange products. They’ve answered sporadically and the last thing I heard was when they replied in the chat saying “Of course we’ll exchange your shoes. Reply with a delivery address and we’ll have them shipped later this week.”
That was a month ago and I haven’t received or even heard anything since. I’ve made several new attempts to get in contact but it appears they’re ghosting me.

Sad to to see customer service that bad…

Finally received replacement shoes as they replied as soon as I posted this review.

I received my order from you over the weekend. I order one pair of Court All White and one pair of Court Azure and you have sent me two pairs of Court All White instead.

I would like to keep the white ones, but need to return the other pair and receive the Azure pair I ordered in the first place. Alo, although the sizing is, OK, I would like to go down one size from EU 43 to 42.

As this was a complicated request I am emailing rather than sending through the refund portal.

Also, as this was your error, it is only fair that I do not pay for any further shipment charges either to return the wrongly sent pair or receive the new replacement ones.

This is one week ago and your responses have been very slow.

Completely unimpressed with North 89 so far since you ask me if I happy with your service and want a rating.

Nothing delivered, no contact possible

Unfortunately, this company does not live up to its promise of quick delivery and is absolutely impossible to get in touch with. I’m still waiting for my shoes for more than 3 weeks now and not a single sign of life from their (non-existent) customer sevice.

Return portal broken, no answer from shop, lawyer requiered.

I ordered two pairs of shoes for ~450€, and they arrived very fast here to Spain. One of them had smaller damages, probably from the shipping, but sadly, both were too small in the end, so I had to initiate a return.

Now, I tried to get in contact with the customer support team through the email they indicate on their website (no phone number), and via Instagram multiple times for a month now, without receiving not so much as an automated reply. The return portal has an error if you access it via phone, but on the web it says they are still processing the return SINCE 3 WEEKS. I have not received one sign of live from anyone. What infuriates me is that it seems on Trustpilot they seem to react and answer people on the same day.

It got to the point that I had to get in contact with a swedish lawyer and I am trying to get my money back now using the legal system. So in case you think about ordering, keep my experience in mind, it's probably the worst customer experience I've ever had in my life and one can start to suspect that it's on purpose. Seeing the carton that is ready to be shipped but can't, I am regretting every day that I decided to order from north-89.

And also, here on Trustpilot I seem to be in good company with similar experiences: If they indicate to get in contact with them through their email info@... be aware you will probably never receive an answer.

Nice trainers, wrong colour

I ordered the Bolt Runner Universe trainers in navy. When the trainers arrived the pair in the box were white. The trainers themselves seem very nice on the surface, though are of course not the colour I ordered. I have yet to wear them since they are not the pair I ordered so can't comment on fit, feel and quality, they are just sat in the box. At least the right model and size was sent to me. I submitted their returns form which never came to me, so I then contacted the company by email about an exchange or return/refund but have not received a response and I am still waiting for that two weeks later, even though their automated email to me said they would respond within three business days. This is pretty awful customer service to say the least. I don't know if this has been a genuine mistake on their part, or if they are just throwing whatever closest pair of trainers they have to those ordered into a box to offload product and hoping customers will go away and accept this. I am of a mind to think they had none of the blue colour in the size I ordered left as these were mostly sold out, or certainly not enough for consumer demand, so just sent the white hoping I wouldn't remember or would end up being ok with that. Regardless, this is a terrible way to run a business so I would not recommend them and I would absolutely not purchase from here again due to what seems to be the pot luck nature of the product you end up with and the non-existent customer service. A shame because the product is rather nice.

They are willing to make things right

Great Alpine Hikers

Bought a pair of Alpine Hikers. Honestly couldn't be happier with them!

They're warm, comfortable, have great grip in difficult conditions and look great.
I've used them as my daily shoe in January and they work well and stay dry in rain and snow.

Do not shop there

I have tried contacting Customer Services twice to change the size of my shoes. I tried the chat function and going via their 'press' email address but still no reply. I only wanted to replace my shoes for a larger size. Don't buy shoes from this supplier - it's a con!

Don’t waste your money!!!

Saw photos of their loafers on an instagram ad and despite feeling like it may be a risk ordering from this small company I thought I’d give it a try. As someone who used to work in fashion, I’ve never written a poor review before but this “designer” is a scammer. It seems like a few people got what they ordered but I can only speak to my experience. I ordered a pair of men’s size 10/43 suede, navy blue loafers because the design looked great. What I received 2-3 weeks later, were a pair of cream colored suede loafers. Now visually speaking these were really nice and honestly I was looking forward to a new pair of shoes so much I would have kept them if they actually were even close to a size 10. The measurements of the shoe were the strangest I’ve seen as they were about half the width of my foot despite being the proper length. Whenever I order my size they always seem to fit me despite whatever designer it is from Gucci to Bottega Veneta. Anyways, I submit a return with detailed images and receive an automatic answer that my request will be processed and answered in about 2 days. This was 2 weeks ago. For this kind of a price, don’t risk or waste your money. You won’t get it back and it seemed like they just grabbed whatever somewhat similar style was closest to them in distribution and threw them in the box. I’m out about $265 and it was an expensive lesson I hope others, at least, can learn from.
