Great ordering system and fast delivery. Handbag was exactly what I was looking for and what sold it to me was the helpful short video showcasing the item. Great marketing!

  1. Shoe shop

Information provided by various external sources

North Shoes was founded in 1876 by William North, a boot maker from Haconby, a small village just outside Bourne. It is believed that it was his wife Sarah who instigated the business. She saw the property for sale whilst visiting the market in Bourne and proposed they sell shoes as well as make them. Boots were made on the premises until 1914 when demand became too high for the 12 employed boot makers and boots had to be sourced elsewhere. North Shoes, under the guidance of William North's great great grandson James, now has the original store in Bourne as well as three other shops located in Oundle, Cambridge and Stamford. Despite the expansion of North Shoes, the ethos of the business remains the same, quality footwear with honest dedicated customer service for all. North Shoes prides itself on being a children’s fitting specialist with staff trained to the highest standards. It hosts a generous range of width fittings and brands, to include Clarks, which has been part of the product range since the turn of the 20th century.

Wow what else can I say

Wow what else can I say. Ordered sandals and within 1/2 hr I had email to say they had been posted - what service. Such a pleasure to do business with and would highly recommend. Also they offer great prices and communication is 1st class.

0845 telephone number to contact them?

I purchased a pair of sandals they arrived quickly and were a good price, unfortunately they were a poor fit so had to return them. They were delivered back on a Friday as I hadn't got my money returned by the following Thursday so decided to ring them, this was the annoying bit, they advertise an 0845 number that costs you to ring, I found another number on PayPal but this didn't take me to the right person and again I was offered an 0845 number, I had to ask for the 01 number which was easily available. I don't see why you should have to pay to complain to any company.
However my refund was dealt with in a timely manner.

Would not use again.

After a terrible experience making a now very much regretted purchase through a very popular auction site I would never recommend this company, I purchased some boots priced at £125 & after the boots failed to arrive in good time I contacted the courier that was used with the tracking number provided, I was shocked to be informed that the service used only covered the item if lost to £50 maximum, I contacted North Shoes through the auctions site message service & was met by a very argumentative guy who failed to appreciate the gravity of my issue raised, after many messages that gradually became argumentative on his part I had to stop responding to his messages as I felt we were going round in circles needlessly & was just proving unhelpful.
Due to my own experience I would certainly never make another purchase & risk any more of my money nor would I recommend this company, I wasn't happy at all with the postal method used & the way my correspondence was dealt with even after I followed their wishes to contact them if their was an issue with the item.

FANTASTIC SERVICE

I stumbled across North Shoes whilst looking for end of line PG trainers and was delighted to not only find a pair in my size, but they were half price!

Very quick dispatch, free delivery, and the trainers are great. Excellent service all round.

Would highly recommend this company.
