My landlord brought in these cowboys to fix quite a lot of serious repairs to our rented property. The photos I have got on these repairs have been rediculed by professional tradesman. Not much faith when an apparent 'professional tradesman' has to research You Tube on what to do. They used a saw to cut wood inside the property and left sawdust everywhere, left their rubbish behind after stating someone would be coming to collect it in a couple of days.
I have friends and family in the trade and after showing them photos of completed work, they are absolutely disgusted. Its an utter disgrace and horrendous work I have ever seen in my 50 years of life.

The worst property estate agency ever, do not ever use these guys for anything. They will provide the worst tenants for your properties and the worst sales service. Absolutely shocking service.. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!

I rented with North West Homes and had an extremely poor experience.

Constant intrusions: They repeatedly booked viewings for prospective tenants in my flat, sometimes months before my tenancy was coming to an end, with back to back viewings for days on end.

Neglect of repairs: Maintenance issues were reported throughout the tenancy but were rarely fixed. Even major concerns were ignored.

Deposit dispute: Now that I’ve moved out, they are attempting to claim my deposit for issues that were either pre-existing or reported and never addressed. This remains an ongoing dispute and highlights how they try to withhold deposits unfairly.

Unprofessional conduct: Communication is slow, dismissive, and gives the impression of laziness and disorganisation, with a particular emphasis on indolence.

Overall, this agency seems far more interested in extracting money from tenants than in providing even a basic standard of service. I would strongly caution anyone against renting with them.

Booked a day off work to go view a flat. Time was changed at first from 10.30 to 16.00. That's fine. The day arrives, and I get a phone call saying they have to cancel an appointment due to people off work ill. Wasted time and work holiday for this. Nice one. Definitely won't be recommending you to anyone. Jokers.

I've used North West Homes for many years to manage all my properties and couldn't recommend them enough.

Properties are rented without many vacant periods, rents are collected on time and inventories carried out both on moving in and vacating. I'm always updated with new tenant details and when they are due to leave. All tenants are vetted prior to signing any tenancy to ensure I rent trouble free.
Maintenance issues are reported and carried out if I'm unable to provide my own trades people.

APPALLING, This company ran by Hassim Vorajee and Jessy ignore all communication. they instructed my small business to manage properties they own and they owe us just under £3,000... all communication ignored. Will have to issue court proceedings. looking at other reviews, they seem to have a similar attitude with others too

Used this provider in my second and third year. Found the properties to be of high value but thats it. Prices are high for student properties and they are quick to hold your deposit. In my third year I had to dispute them holding my deposit which after many emails to them they finally returned most of my deposit to me. The staff are okay but most of the time they appear to be hard to talk to or not quite understanding what you are trying to get help with. Both tenancies using this company they would quickly book viewings even when you are unavailable and tend to do so many viewings back to back so some days you would have them coming in and out. Overall good properties but over inflated rent for what it is.

Rude & misogynistic, be careful these ppl are only after your money and are horrible ppl.

Absolutely disgusting estate agents , i am writing this as a parent of a student,praying on young students , promises on viewing of property already let then taking them to damp riden homes miles from uni telling them they too late to secure anything else for Sept 2024 !!!! Unfortunately in this case although the students arnt from preston one has been visiting family here for past 18 years . Do not trust these atall !!!

Absolute disgrace of a company business scammers or whatever they are. They have violated me with their lack of professional and moral diligence. The bullying and harassment started from the day I was suppose to get my keys. Which by the way was later and an absolute marathon to get - I can’t even get into it it’s way too lengthy. It continued up until now where 2 colleagues of north west homes falsely accused me of littering from my back window with no evidence and demanded entry into my bedroom with no notice and aggressively knocking. I have chronic anxiety and he wouldn’t leave until I actually had to call the police. Long story short. This is only 1% of what I’ve been through and still currently going through. They attempt to get away with violating students tenancy rights, bullying young students, money scamming - always trying to pressurise students for upfront payments that aren’t necessary or required - when most of the time they haven’t even completed what they should on their end of the stick as your private landlord - what are we paying for ?
The business is not based on ANY professional ground , they team up together and use advantage of their authority as a ‘landlord’ - which is false they exaggerate their authority, and take advantage of young students because they live far and don’t often have the knowledge of their civil rights or the financial recourses to take justifiable actions against them. It’s disgusting on so many grounds and then the scam of sticking a number 1 gold winning star on the business giving students out of the city coming to study here a false narrative and false advertisement - which is abundtatly clear from the reviews here alone.

This is honestly nothing that I have mentioned sadly. I’ve experienced actual trauma as a result of these, that I battles every time I have to speak to them out of necessity.

WHAT TO DO:
If you do sign a tenancy with north west homes, keep a track record and record every interaction you have with them and make sure there is always a witness person with you to avoid their white lie accusations.

Don’t succumb to the harassment of empty threats - they should notify you 24 hours before entering your place and that’s only with your permission and if there is a legitimate reason - you can decide that to your discretion as it is YOUR HOME YOUR PRIVACY YOUR RIGHT. I’m the UK 24 hours notice is deemed reasonable notice from your landlord.

Keep your track record and if they phycuslkt will not go away alert the police if you feel you are unsafe or under immediate threat of physical harm

All I can say about this estate agents is ‘😂😂😂😂😂😂😂’ absolute joke of a company, I’d suggest you get a lawyer before signing anything with these people as they will try they’re very best to drain every penny you’ve got while also being useless and showing nothing worth the money spent .

I had the unfortunate experience of renting with this company for 2 years. Just a few of the things I experienced was our bedroom radiator breaking in the middle of winter and being told off for calling the repair line after a week of waiting because it “wasn’t urgent”, had large wooden beams hanging off our ceiling multiple times because the house was dangerously neglected, estate agents would leave the front door unlocked after viewings and ignored the emails about it (ignored basically all emails). One of our tenants didn’t even get their front door key for a month into paying for the tenancy and they were rude and accusatory when we asked for it! Again, this is just a small amount of what happened while dealing with them! Avoid for your own sake!

Lovely viewing experience.

I was greeted by Salim & Alexandria who offered me a few viewings after listening to my criteria. The studios I viewed at the Student Village were beautiful, I decided to put a holding deposit down on one straight away.

Both were very pleasant and helpful people so thank you for that.

Extremely unprofessional. Emailed and called repeatedly before the viewings appointment to confirm what we were looking for. We travelled 2 hours each way, only to find they had no idea what we were looking for. They had 1 property to show us, that they thought of on the spot, after insisting we would be able to rent it later than initially said. We went to view it, only to be told afterwards it had be rented by the set date, and it couldn’t be any later. They essentially wasted our entire day, I absolutely would not recommend them, they are completely unorganised and don’t have a clue what’s going on.

Terrible, disrespectful service. Booked viewings on monday for thursday. Told them all my requirements, which weren’t many and was told I could see 3 properties on thursday. Stayed off work for this viewing. Got there in my appointment and they didn’t even remember me and improvised to show me one flat that didn’t meet any of my requirements. Honestly cannot stress enough how terrible the service and experience was

I was a UCLan student and in my final year and decided I wanted to live on my own in a apartment at The Village which is a property owned by NorthWest Homes. The main reason I want to write this bad review is because I was in my final year when covid began March 2020. Northwest Homes advised me that it was totally fine for me to go home and end my contract early due to the pandemic along as the apartment was in the condition I received it in. I got my deposit money back from NorthWest Homes and ended my contract as the university was closed, however Northwest Homes told Preston council that I was liable to pay the remaining council tax to that apartment as they didn't want to pay it, in total I had to pay £275 council tax money to an apartment I was no longer living in! Northwest homes are a money scamming company and I will advise you not to rent with them! They have done the same to my friends and its absolutely disgusting! From the beginning of my 3rd year at university, as I moved in I had problems with my council tax issues and which NorthWest Homes said they would sort out for me. Every month I received a letter asking me to pay council tax, I had the bailiff come to my apartment which they soon realised I was a student. On many of occasions NorthWest Homes ignored my emails and phone calls regarding this that I had to go into Preston council tax office myself! This is a matter NorthWest Homes state in their contract they sort out for you along as you have an exemption form from the university. I had a massive problem with the drainage of my shower which was blocked from the day I moved in and found out it was a common fault with other tenants that lived in my building, again NorthWest Homes ignored me my emails and phone calls. I had to resolve the issue myself by buying some bathroom drainage products. I REPEAT, do not rent or buy a property with NorthWest Homes you will get scammed.

Terrible viewing experience! Whoever took me round didn’t even know basic questions about the property including...’where is the communal laundry space!’ Maybe I got unlucky but I can’t imagine sending someone out to view properties who doesn’t even know answers to basic questions! Questions were answered back at the main office, but by that point my faith in the company had dwindled somewhat. This is a review based purely on the viewing process, which was sub par.

Smooth booking, shown plenty of properties with a decent variety. Accommodated our requirements for the property.

Used northwest homes in first year and they helped us find a gorgeous house just what we were looking for as students. Currently using them again for this year and Jordan has been so helpful helping us find different houses/flats at the right price, he’s also very friendly and has great customer service remembering our names and building a rapport with us as soon as we walked in. Definitely recommend Northwest homes.
