Great store. Lovely shopping experience

Love this store at Brampton near Huntingdon in Cambridgeshire. Great layout. Easy to navigate and perfect for a quick visit. Friendly staff who are knowledgeable and available for advice. No local competition which merits mention. Your formula for a great shopping experience encourages repeat visits. Don't change. You've got it right!

Bad service, poor food. Will go elsewhere in future.

Just, 09:49 on a Friday morning, had a bad experience with the restaurant at Nottcuts, Nottingham. Ordered the Gardeners Breakfast Platter (£9.95). Arrived quickly but.... 1. The first bits I tried were lukewarm at best. 2. Realised that there was no butter with the toast add-on - despite asking at the Order Pont if I should collect butter there and being told that it would come with the toast. 3. Returned to Order Point + collected butter by which time the food of course had cooled even more then realised the meal was missing the egg(s). It had got very busy by then so complaining at that point would mean trying to find someone to speak to without further delays (despite a member of the Order Point Staff who was having a a long non-work conversation while she was collecting empties near my table).

Went for lunch paid £16 shocked is an understatement. I had a coffee tuna melt was ciabatta thinly spread tuna and hardly any cheese and bread was chewy and believe it or not I actually got 9 chips. This is unbelievable how can they charge such ridiculous prices for appalling food. This was in Widnes on Monday will never return. Way too expensive not worth it. Scones just crumble to bits as you cut them can not even pick a piece up have to use a fork

Wonderful garden centre at Victoria in Featherstone. There’s always nice displays arranged and pleasant friendly staff. Just had a sausage and egg ciabatta in the restaurant and it was the best I’ve ever had. Slightly toasted too which was a warm surprise. A wide range of shrubs and plants along with the usual accompanying merchandise. As a little regular visitor I would recommend the membership for £10 a year which rewards you with 10% off every purchase with every shop.

I took my dear friend to your Brampton…

I took my dear friend to your Brampton garden centre on March 20. We both were looking forward to our visit and some lunch. Well to say we were both disappoint is an understatement, my sweet friend ordered a scone and coffee. As I watched her cut the scone I couldn’t believe my eyes it crumbled into a mess on her plate. She could not even spread butter on it as it was a mess of crumbs! How disappointing, I ordered a cheese panini. When it arrived it had clearly been shoved into a microwave to heat it!! I couldn’t believe it. I can assure you I will never be back in your establishment and do not know how you succeed in running a business

Terrible service at Nottcutts Ditchling…

Terrible service at Nottcutts Ditchling cafe today, ordered 2 of the sausages and mash with peas and parsnip chips. The food arrived in 3 minutes and was obviously undercooked with 3 sad looking pale pink sausages perched on the mash. Turning them over revealed a thin brown stripe where someone had started cooking them at some point. Also no parsnips on either plate. Took the plate back and spoke to a disinterested young man who instead of apologising, decided to challenge me. 'Is it hot?' He asked. Its warm but not cooked, can I have them replaced? 'If its hot then it's cooked.' No I would like another plate please.
Anyway, the replacement arrived a while later with slightly better cooked sausages and wow the parsnip chips had appeared too! Our not very helpful waiter then explained that the sausages don't go brown when cooked 'because of the high meat content' . Fascinating, also a load of rubbish.
No apologies either.
Such a shame we will not be returning to the cafe after this experience, the food has always been hit and miss but at least the staff used to be helpful.

Vile tasting coffee

Visited Garden Pride restaurant in Ditchling, Hassocks, West Sussex just for a coffee and was left really disappointed. Coffee was only lukewarm, had a vile bitter taste ( like it had been in a thermos flask all day) and at £2.75 a cup was grossly over-priced too! Had to go and get a pot of hot water just to make it bearable.

Compare that to a near-by garden centre whom's coffee is hot, smooth and great tasting at £2.20 per cup is by far better value for money.

Won't be returning.... you have been warned the coffee is disgusting. Avoid

They don't deserve your custom

Being on the government vulnerable people minimum 12 week lockdown we decided that this year we would order our plants on line. We decided on Notcutts because we generally use the Rivendell centre in Widnes owned by them. We where told when we placed the order a wait of 14 days. After 3 weeks we contacted them to be told it will be a minimum 28 days. Is this a problem, no not really but their communication is non existent. On arrival we opened the packages to find in one package two of the three plants where damaged beyond recovery, basically snapped of at the base. We informed Notcutts but to date, almost two weeks later (and as expected) no reply. This leaves us with one expensive plant out of three. Based on our dealings with Notcutts online our advise is STAY AWAY. We have also decided not to use their centres as our first choice from now on and firstly visit other centres who treat their loyal customers with more respect.

Nottcuts wheatcrofts disappointing membership waste of money

Really disappointing.
I’ve been a member of the discount club for 5 years almost now and been there today and most upset that the meal vouchers I have are no longer to be used at the weekend. This is the only time we can get there so the club membership is now a total waste of money.
The food in the restaurant food is very over priced poor selection and service is rude. This is the garden centre in edwalton Nottingham

where has the Christmas spirit gone? :-(

It’s become a Christmas tradition for me and my boys to visit our closest Nottcuts in Ditchling. We used to love the amazing display of Christmas lights, giant snowman and decorations. Followed by mince pie and hot chocolate in the restaurant and lots of Christmas shopping. We were devastated last week, to find all the Christmas spirit had gone. It’s just all clothing that would never suit any of us. Poor choice of gifts, very expensive and all the fresh farm foods no more. Restaurant was closed, and such a small section of Christmas decorations. Not one of us were able to find even one present to buy. Felt so disappointed for our son.

My wife and I love this place

My wife and I love this place, they have such variety and amazing garden furniture and BBQs we have recently bought a bar table and stools with a round lounger/ bed along with a Heston BBQ that is electronically lit. They are such lovely people that are soo helpful every time we go there. It is so difficult not to buy lots of stuff because the goods are so great and reasonably priced.
the best thing to do is buy a privilege card and wait for 20% discount day to save an absolute fortune. Great place lovely people it is always a pleasure to visit :-)

Outstanding Restaurant!

The garden centre is an absolute must see attraction with a host of features not just garden related but aquatic, pets and so much more. But whatever you go to the centre for you must visit the restaurant. It has recently had a make-over and is stunning. The staff are amazing too, especially the manager who is polite and courteous and keeps a well kept, clean and tidy restaurant. The home made scones are to die for and the breakfasts, well I now make it a ritual to call every Saturday morning now.
Well done Victoria, take a bow!

Too far to walk thro` the gift store.

I love gardening and plant buying but I now refuse (as an senior citizen) to push my trolley thro` yds. of giftware etc. to get to the tills.

Until they realise what a chore this is I am going elsewhere to a proper garden centre not a glorified gift shop!
