Very happy with my order

I ordered a few things from Novatech and was pleased with the shipping time line. The item was as described and I was very happy with price. I did my homework though. I made sure the item was in stock. Thank you for being a great drop shipper Novatech!

Beware of Novatech

I recently activated a Multiverse pro account with Novatech. I used their autoloader to load products onto eBay and I got immediately shut down. Ebay did not disclose to me why the account was suspended and Novatech also had no answers. The Multiverse account included a success coach which I was eager to talk to one. I scheduled an appointment and when the time came no one called. Setting up a coaching call and not actually calling is unprofessional and unacceptable. However, I do feel that Larry is knowledgeable but the way that the company is run must improve.

Novatech: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

I’ve spent nine months using the Novatech Wholesale system and have elected to quit. I’m passing on what I have learned as you evaluate your decision to sell online.

The Good: Magento MultiversePro or M2E. This is software that allows you to select items from Novatech’s inventory and have them loaded up and maintained on your personal website, Amazon or eBay. The items you select are updated in real time and are added or discontinued as they are available in Novatech’s inventory. This is a great tool that allows you to batch adjust pricing and do newsletters and email campaigns. It is a great labor saver and lets you focus on more than than keeping your listings up to date. They do have a huge selection of items to sell from several different band name companies. This program still has bugs such as incorrectly categorizing some items like a sporting good item as women’s clothing.

The Bad: Novatech is actually a couple of guys pretending to be a big wholesale company. They are actually a drop shipping company that uses other drop shippers to provide their products. They are not a real wholesaler. They don’t ship the products themselves. They contract with other drop shippers to provide a large selection of products consisting of new, refurbished and used items. The biggest problem is that the pricing of their products dose not generally allow a competitive price in the major competitive markets of Amazon and eBay. Their uploads for Bonanza, Big Commerce and Shopify only really work for Bonanza. I had problems with Shopify and Big Commerce uploads not working and Novatech provided no help in solving my problems and neither did Shopify and Big Commerce. Bonanza worked fine.

The Ugly: To be successful against the giants of Amazon and eBay, you need to offer something that is unique or have a great price. If I found an item through Novatech that had a good price, I could not guarantee availability of the item. If I wanted to provide excellent customer service, I couldn’t because I had no control over shipping or refund policy. Which brings me to another little secret. If you sell on eBay or Amazon and need to refund, you are expected to refund the entire cost of the item including shipping. Novatech will only refund the purchase price once the item is returned. You eat shipping both ways or have sub-par customer service. Also, don’t try to sell a home made bundle of products because you can’t ensure the availability of all of the items in your bundle.

They advertise that you will have no marketplace violations. This is bogus. I was booted off Amazon permanently after a little over a month because of all of the pricing, safety and infringement violations I accumulated. Keep that in mind when selecting products of theirs to sell online.

I'll take my business elsewhere...

To whomever who reads this, please be considered lucky if your a business owner. This is in regards to Novatech Wholesale in Bakersfield, California. Since there aren't enough reviews on the net about them, here's the truth. They are NOT a REAL drop-shipper. They get ALL their stuff from EVERTEK!!! Since they are in the same state, they just buy from Evertek (which is about 3 hours away) and ship to you (or the unsuspecting client) while up-charging you 25-40 percent. Save yourself the trouble and get a resale tax certificate. Trust me. Evertek's prices are way lower and they charge 3.00 for drop-shipping if your a trusted member. Novatech are not what they seem. Their customer service is sub-par and their turnkey affiliates sites will make you nothing on those marketplaces they advertise.

So because Evertek is one of hundreds of vendors/manufacturers we acquire products from, you assume we are not a 'real' drop shipper? We hardly get all our stuff from Evertek. If you take a moment and go to the Evertek website you will find they only have between 1300-1400 products total. Next, go to our website www.novatechwholesale.com and you will find we have over 50k+ products available and growing. Our markup is only 3% (everybody has to be able to make something) for our pro members, not anywhere near 25-40% even for our free members. We also do not charge any drop ship fees, I don't know where you came up with $3.00, but it is not true, however if you would send us a link to where you seen this information we will be happy to get it updated. Affiliate sites aren't for marketplaces, but if you would like to call and discuss this we have a team of knowledgeable staff that will be glad to help you better understand how our company works, and why we have such a high success rate with our members vs other companies that offer similar services.
