CROOKS WITH SPANNERS. Had a problem with a alternator but i…

Had a problem with a alternator but i could not replace it myself as front end had to come off so sent it to 1 garage and they could not get fan off so , sent it to NRP Autocentre , well here is where the crooks started there work ! Bearing in mind the first garage just moted car and there was nothing wrong at all with engine , then sent it to NRP and they changed belts and they lied about saying they never timed it lol as the guy said im lucky because the original boss had same car and they have timing kit , well when they fitted belts they done it wrong and destroyed my engine!!!
Took they to Motor tribunal and they completely lied !!! They told them that they never started car ha ha , and the last email I got was them saying that every inch of there place is covered by cctv, so ive asked 3 to 4 times for this coverage and still they go quiet, they said they pushed car in lol not a chance , u can't get a auto into park without power ! U can't turn a steering wheel without power , and it had air bags that were deflated, now there sending me invoices of storage of over 1k ,, people please spread the word NEVER EVER USE THEM , unless you want your car scrapped, they should wear masks crooks !!!

We formally and unequivocally deny all allegations contained within this review.
This matter has been independently investigated by the Motor Ombudsman, which, after a full review of the available evidence, concluded that no fault, negligence, or breach of duty can be attributed to our business. The findings confirm that we bear no liability for the issues alleged.
For completeness, it is noted that the reviewer initially pursued a claim against a separate local repairer and only redirected allegations toward us after that claim was unsuccessful. This sequence of events is documented and calls into question the consistency and credibility of the claims now presented.
At all times, we have acted in full compliance with our obligations under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including the requirement to carry out services with reasonable care and skill. No evidence has been produced to substantiate any breach of those statutory duties.
The statements made in this review are denied in the strongest possible terms and are considered to be inaccurate, misleading, and potentially defamatory. We expressly reserve all rights in this regard, including the right to seek removal of this content and to pursue further legal remedies if necessary.
In light of the clear and independent determination of the Motor Ombudsman, we consider this matter closed.

Ok, so they had 4 and five star reviews. I am a very sceptical person so took it with pinch of salt. I was so pleased after dealing with them to confirm they really are in my opinion 5 star rated. Friendly, helpful and I never felt I was being over charged. The work they carried out straightforward either. Well done Team😁

Very happy with service

Used NRP about 5 - 6 years ago and was very happy with service. Have started to use them again as family car situation changed and still very happy with the service received and pricing. Will be using again for the 4 family cars.

Peugeot 308 puretech 1.2…

I got a Peugeot 308 puretech 1.2 delivered to NRP Auto Centre 15th of March 2025.

We knew the wet belt had gone and needed replacing

They said the vehicle needed the following
BELT
Wet belt
Belt

OILFILTER
Oil Filter

5W30
Engine oil

SAE grade 3.5

ANTI FREEZE

GASKET

WATER PUMP BELT

FAN BELT

Then weeks later, I got a phone call stating it needs new vowels

I went absolutely ballistic because as you can see on the original quote, which I’ve not highlighted it how much it was, but they wanted more money for valves which is already included in the original quote.

Then I was told it was an error due to new staff doing the invoice which I do not believe.

Then last week I was told oh it needs a new turbo

Oil

Oil filter

Plus other duplicate stuff that is already original quote

These people are scammers because they’re charging you things you don’t need or you’ve been quoted for plus they are quoting for delicate products.

You don’t do this to people gosh how they can charge me another £1200 for the turbo

Here is the list what they sent me

A turbo is only £200 £1000 come from.

I can see they charge me twice for oil and oil filter plus seal etc

Scammers, 100% scammers

How can I charge you something on the original price and then charge you again for the same product when they replaced the turbo?

This doesn’t make sense, and as I said, they tried to do the same thing again regarding the valves even though it’s already been priced for the original quote

Stay away because they will bill you for products that’s already been quoted for again and I will quote you stuff you don’t need

I also requested in the beginning to put the parts in the boot that’s been replaced and they failed to do so.

Why haven’t they put the old parts in the boot?
I believe it’s because they make out they replace things when they haven’t

I will definitely won’t be using these again

Finally got the vehicle back on the 16th of May 2025, which is approximately two calendar months later

The vehicle was delivered to us in a non-running condition due to a snapped wet belt.
During the repair process, the cylinder head was removed and sent to a machine shop for inspection and skimming. At that point, we were informed that the valves were bent. This type of damage cannot always be confirmed until the cylinder head has been fully stripped and assessed by specialists. Based on these findings, the necessary work was carried out. These were not included in the original quote.

In relation to the turbocharger, it is not possible to accurately diagnose a turbo fault while the engine is not running. Once the wet belt and associated components had been replaced and the engine was operational again, it became clear that the turbo was also faulty.

A quotation was then provided for the turbo replacement. The turbo unit supplied was sourced from a reputable supplier at a cost of £500. We do not fit parts obtained from platforms such as eBay, as their quality and reliability cannot be guaranteed.

The turbo replacement quote also included essential items such as oil and filters. These are required to ensure correct lubrication and to prevent contamination of the new turbo unit.

All additional work undertaken was based on faults identified during the course of the repair, rather than issues that could have been confirmed during the initial inspection.

As requested, all removed parts were placed in the boot of the vehicle upon collection.

Incompetence at it's finest

2nd occasion I've used NRP for AC work, both times I've been unimpressed. Thoroughly incompetent technician supposedly worked on my Vehicle. Took my money and laughed at my concerns. Will not be returning.

We’re sorry to hear about your concerns and appreciate you taking the time to leave feedback.
We have reviewed our records, and over the past five years, you have only visited us for an AC leak test and regas.
The results showed a leak in the high-pressure pipe The regas could not be performed until the pipes were replaced. At the time, you chose not to proceed with any further work and were only charged £36 for the leak test.
Our records also show that no concerns were raised during your visit.
We always aim to provide clear and professional service, and we regret that you feel disappointed.

Great company

I can’t recommend them enough, quick professional service.
I took my wife’s car in to find out what might be wrong, didn’t charge me and gave me advice on what to do and for that reason they now do all our cars, just did a job on my sons car, brilliant service.
Thank you
