I tried to cancel my subscription many times with no response. They automatically charged my credit card $57. I ended up informing the credit company to stop payment and they said they would investigate, I would think that a Catholic organization would have better customer service. Very disappointing.

New Saint Thomas Institute difficult to get out of

This is a Catholic education website run by Taylor Marshall, a Catholic educator and apologist. While the material and the instruction is very good, as well as enrolling in the classes, when the time comes to cancel a subscription, it is extremely difficult to do so. The company is very unresponsive to requests for cancellations. This is why I have given this company a one-star rating.

The instructions are to contact them via their website in order to cancel a subscription. I found myself in need to cancel my subscription because I was not using the account as I thought I would be. They were automatically billing my credit card $57 each month. I decided to cancel my subscription. I did this numerous times by submitting a “ticket” on their website. No one ever replied to my requests for cancellation. Just a stock reply when you submit your ticket saying “someone will contact you shortly.” Also an automatic email saying that your request would be answered. There was no action over a few months of attempting to get help.

I contacted my credit card company and they put a stop payment on the recurring bill. I also contacted the state attorney general in Texas, where this organization is located, in order to file a complaint. At present, after several months, it appears the automatic billing has stopped, but without any communication at all from this group. The internet is full of complaints from subscribers facing this same problem of lack or response or communication from this company. By doing a search online it is possible to read about the many problems others have faced with this group.

It is sad, that being a religious group providing Catholic education, and I would think aspiring to an above average concern for their customers, that their response in these matters would be so poor and lacking.
