A very expensive and poor service
A very expensive and slow service. They charge very high figures to port your your number and exorbitant fees to port out. When you ask for advice and that advice turns out to be incorrect, they charge you for that too. There are much better companies in this market who charge 10% of what this company charges for a full and complete service that works.
My contacts have been watching my nightmare with NumberPeople and as a result a group in excess of 15,000 will now walk away.

Very helpful team
Very helpful team - real people on the chat if you're persistent enough. Claire in Support was extremely helpful even when I confessed I was about to terminate my account in the next few months owing to nothing other than lack of use, and then helped me repair a mistake I made in changing my number details. Always fine service from these guys, just that no-one phones the landline any more!

The cost of a VoIP user is £1 per month. Our VoIP service allows for free incoming calls and presents their Number People telephone number as the caller ID when making outbound calls.
Outbound calls are chargeable, which necessitates having credit on the account.
The minimum top-up amount is £5 using our auto top-up facility and credit on the account expires after 90 days, unless another top-up is made and the full balance is rolled over for a further 90 days.
If you don't make any outbound calls, to maximise the value of your top-up, we offer additional services that can be added, such as voicemail-to-email and personalized announcements.
These services are intended to enhance your communication capabilities while ensuring that all of your top-up credit is efficiently utilised.
Furthermore, for just an additional £1 per month per item, you can add extra VoIP users or even acquire additional numbers to expand your service as needed.

We abandoned our old landline as our broadband connection was awful and moved to a 5G modem.

Switched to 5g broadband (3) and the Number people for my 'landline'
After years with a major telecom company (don't want to 'Talk' about them) and their terrible broadband service, I decided to utilise the 5g service in our area. It's been brilliant with download speeds far in excess of the fibre package they were offering. Now inorder to keep my landline number I had look around and settled with the Number people. So far they have been superb. If I want I can have 20 mins calling for only £1 per month! I've opted for 200 mins for £5 as well don't really use the home phone that much nowadays, try to keep on the inclusive minutes from the mobile service!
But this fits the bill perfectly, going to save money every month as well.
If your router doesn't support telephoney you can get a voip adapter for around £30 and you're away. But if setting required but they have a guide on the website page to help.
So far brilliant and thanks to the staff over there.
