NuSpace are terrible and do not honour guarantees

NuSpace (the London based company) was a horrible experience from start to finish. I have just had to spend £25,000 getting the roof redone and will have to re-do the interiors as well as NuSpace cut every corner they possibly could. NuSpace are refusing to honour the guarantee even though we are well within the 10 year period. Avoid them like the plague, they are dishonest cowboys. Go onto Yelp to see all the reviews they couldn't pay people to remove.

Terrible and offered a case of wine for 5 star review …

Terrible and offered a case of wine for a 5 star review (which I refused).
I wouldn’t recommend them, and had a terrible experience with them straight after they have your non refundable deposit. Once I’d paid my deposit the cost of what I wanted went up by about £5k, to essentially get a double room that I’d always asked for. They had provided a diagram beforehand but once the deposit received said the diagram was an indication only and not to scale despite me always requesting a second double room. During the build we had a number of issues. It was completed in 2019 and since then have had a number of additional problems, for example within a year the landing railing was lose and if someone had leaned against it it would have given way and you’d fall to the next floor. They outsource the project to a builder and take 15% for doing that, the builder is then left to make their own profit. The builder constantly asked for extra money for things that were included in the contract, and on day one asked me to pay for his parking as additional cost. The result is that the builder scrimped on everything and bought the cheapest materials possible. Anything extra you have done Nuspace charge an additional 15% for their commission for doing nothing. I fell for what looked like a professional image and thought they’d help with the build, never again. I’d recommend going direct with builders.

They don’t care about you!

What a disaster! Do not go with this company. The after sale is terrible. I am still waiting for my completion certificate and electrical certificate. It’s been five years of me calling and emailing. DO NOT USE THEM! You think they project manage the whole project but as soon as they get their money it is like you did not exist.

Loft Extension Review

Our experience with Nuspace was fantastic. The loft conversion was completed on time and without any faults.

We're very happy with our new space so thank you everyone involved in the project!

Lived up to well deserved reputation

I engaged with NuSpace due to their reputation as being highly professional and experienced with extensions/roof terraces and the planning processes involved, and they certainly lived up to their well deserved reputation.

I found NuSpace to be high responsive and practical in their approach. Offering advice on all possible scenarios and solutions. Graham was brilliant in using his extensive experience of extensions to guide us through the planning process and what the possibilities and options were.

Georgina has also been fantastic throughout, always being a pleasure to speak to and available to assist with all of our enquiries and keep things moving at the pace we wanted.

Nuspace were inadequate and duplicitous…

Nuspace were inadequate and duplicitous at every stage of our loft conversion. The sales team were slick and promised everything and then the reality unfolder. We went through two awful project managers after the first one was rude and absent.
The plans that were drawn up were repeatedly inaccurate and did not include key features that were billed for. The mistakes in the plans were frequently noticed by us rather than anyone at Nuspace.
Nuspace forgot to include skylights in the plans and then tried to increase the quote based on this.
After the building there were several faults, leaking roof, poor finish cracked glass skylights. Nuspace refused to deal with any of these instead pointing us to the sub-contractor that they hired. (there is a clause in the contract where they will not take any responsibility for anything even though there is a 'Nuspace guarantee') Nuspaces sub-contractor then disappeared and refused any contact and Nuspace just washed their hands of anything. We have spent 2 years trying to get the roof fixed and the broken/leaking skylights fixed. Nuspace refuse any part in their work even though we have had lawyers write letters.
Use this company at your own risk. They will throw you on the scrapheap once yu have paid their last installment. The only positive is that I have learnt what not to accept from these types of company.

Exceptional service...

Had a dust proof room installed by these guys over a year ago. Exceptional service and 1 year later we are still very happy with the finished product. Has made a big difference to our home! A good investment and would highly recommend!

Very happy!

I have to say I was dealing with a competitor prior to contacting Nuspace. Apparently this competitor is the number 1 company for attic storage. Well let me tell you- I have no idea how. The salesman was very pushy and someone from their office called us daily. It was borderline harassment! So I went online and found Nuspace and one other company to come and quote. The difference between Nuspace and everybody else was immeasurable. Terry (who I think is the owner?) came out and gave us a quotation. He was the most professional out of all 3 company representatives. His knowledge was on another level and he picked up on thinks the others didn’t. He also said that I had been advised on some unnecessary expenses which he said I did not need to do. He was very patient and explained everything clearly. We agreed on a fee of $12k for a clean storage room (I might add- this was significantly cheaper than the other quotes). 2 weeks later William the installer arrived on our door at bang on 7am as agreed. William followed were Terry left off- his knowledge, manners and thoughtfulness just blew me and my wife away. He battled away for 4 days and it seemed like he never stopped! He cleaned and tidied at the end of each day. We have always been sceptical about trades in the house…by the second day we gave him a key and told him to help himself to whatever he wanted. Such a great guy. I still don’t think he came down from that roof whilst we were out!! Needless to say- the finish was brilliant and we could not be happier. I have already recommended this company to at least 5 others and I believe they will be completing a job for a friend soon! If all companies where this easy to deal with………

Well done for your efforts

Well done for your efforts. It was a pleasure doing business with you. The panel works really well. The staff acted in a professional manner and communicated well to keep me informed of what they were doing.
Keep up the good work. Ray

Attic ladder installation

Manager (Terry) listened to my needs, laid out some options, and quoted competitively for supply of my preferred attic ladder, installation, and removal of all existing insulation in my roof space. The work was done as per schedule and Terry kept me informed of when they would be on site. The installer (Will) did a great job. Both guys were very personable and easy to deal with.
