I really liked the knowledge acquired…

I really liked the knowledge acquired in the NYIP, it is practical knowledge that is worth gold. However I feel that education can be improved by proposing practical exercises in each subject and not only at the end of the lessons. I also believe that videos can be even more educational and reinforce the content using visual graphics

Ok ... but not worth the aggravating spam issues

The course was ok but the one star was necessary to teach them about not continually spamming, even via third parties (such as this “Trustpilot” outfit), despite being repeatedly asked not to.
“Unsubscribing” - only recently added to their spam - has had no effect so far, neither have offerings of taking this matter to court to help them understand the issue.

They are thick-skinned and rude when contacted about their spamming activities, especially a David Sin from ‘Accounts Services’.

Take a course only if you’re prepared for years of unstoppable spam.

NYIP is the way to go!

I’ve totally loved my experience so far with NYIP! Their learning materials and content offer exclusive and real life experiences that are in line with what you’re learning about. I’m happy to get an in depth understanding on what I’m learning from people who also share on the ground global experience within the subject/course.

The New York Institute of Photography is a top professional and accredited learning institution.

I would recommend it to anyone who’s serious about developing their skills to meet the demand for professional skills within these disciplines in the creative space.

As a highly motivated photography…

As a highly motivated photography enthusiast whose dream it is to be a pro, I highly recommend this school. For someone like me, who needed a foundation in photography to the hobbyist looking to take better pictures, you will not be disappointed. You will learn the basics of exposure, lighting, composition, all the info you need to grow as a photographer. You can also learn at your own pace. Life gets in the way sometimes. This program is very flexible. I would recommend this course to anyone wanting to take it to the next level and beyond.

If your looking to learn photography

If your looking to learn photography, The NYIP is the place for you. I’ve learned so much from taking one of their classes. Plus, you have a Student Forum where other students, can critique your photos, and give you help along the way. You will get a review of your photo projects from different Mentors at the end of each session of your class. I would highly recommend The NYIP to anyone who loves photography, and looking for some great classes.

The quality of the courses are great

The quality of the courses are great, nothing else to say about that, BUT, at least in my experience, I didn’t like the way they were presented, which is reading a lesson and then moving to the next one. It became so exhausting that I could continue and dropped in the middle of Unit 2 (out of 6).
Again, that was my experience, others might take it different. I just wish I hadn’t buy the whole course for $700.

The NYIP Professional Photography…

The NYIP Professional Photography course is a great way to get started in photography. You get to experience a lot of different aspects of the subject and it'll help you decide what you'd like to do with it.

The Course (Photojournalism), interesting but has limitations

The Course (Photojournalism) was interesting but has some limitations. Some lessons need to go more in depth whereas some informations I have found uninteresting if not almost useless. Also, the request for the tests weren't always very clear. I did some research on Field hockey (completely new to me, as asked by the school) but some shots, specifically about the rules around the subject, weren't understood by the tutor.

I noticed some people have been using this forum to attack others'posts, I have left this forum for good, so are a few others for this reasons!

I decided to leave this platform for good. It has been a very unpleasant experience to post at this forum. There are a few people who constantly belittling my posts and images on this forum, they also posted many misleading advices to new students.

For example, when new students asked questions on Photoshop, such folks never took Photoshop course, but gave wrong advices as they pretended they are the experts.

I believe this forum has been misused and distorted with presence of this two individuals since they constantly post misleading and insulting words there! I never will post at this platform.

Overall positive experience

So far, everything has been great. If I call the student center with a question, they are always helpful and if they don’t have the answer, they will find someone who does. Course content is well written and covers all aspects needed to give a well rounded understanding and education. The only thing I would suggest is to have a little more “real life” demonstrations via video for those of us who are a little more visual learners. The written content is great, but seeing something first hand can give just that much more clarity and understanding to something. It isn’t needed on everything, just maybe on the more complex content. But overall, I am liking my experience and can already see improvement in my skills.

Great Course

The course material was very comprehensive. It took you from the very beginning to decide what part of photography you would like to practice.

Good feedback from the instructors. I would highly recommend.

NYIP really helped me

NYIP really helped me take my photography to the next level. I took the lessons at my pace and on my time. The only thing I can say is that on some of the videos that were done what seem to be a camera store were very distracting as there was a lot of background noise. The mentors are great too. I loved to listen to talk about work what they liked and what I could improve on. Being able to hear makes a difference because you can hear the tone of their voice.
