Hotel NYX Cancun

I recently stayed at Hotel NYX Cancun and couldn't have been more happy with our stay. The hotel is not too big which I liked which meant you get to know other hotel guests and the staff quite well. There are 3 restaurants to choose from (Italian, Japanese and the main restaurant changing cuisines daily) and all were lovely. The room was spacious and cleaned everyday with the mini bar being replenished with beer, soft drinks and water. We had a lovely view of the lagoon and our room was modern. I want to give a special thanks to the entertainment staff who made us feel so welcome and made us want to get involved in the hotel activities. We had so many laughs and enjoyed daily pool volleyball and other classes such as guacamole making, beer pong, water aerobics, karaoke and more. These 3 staff members work so incredibly hard and really made our stay at this hotel.
If you are looking for a nice hotel that has a lovely atmosphere, lots to do, not loads of children about with a lovely section of beach then this is the hotel for you. We stayed here for 2 weeks and we would definitely return.

Very Pleasant Experience

I have been here in Cancun since Monday and I’m really enjoying my stay.

The hotel staff is very friendly and as a guest I feel genuinely welcome.

The rooms are clean and comfortable.

They could just offer a bit more vegan meal options.

Disappointed by lack of response and service

I booked a three-night stay at NYX Hotel Dublin Christchurch for a special occasion. Unfortunately, due to electrical issues affecting several rooms, we were relocated to a different hotel for the first night, a property of lower standard.

While I understand that unexpected issues can happen, what’s been most disappointing is the lack of communication since. I’ve contacted the hotel several times to request a refund for the night they couldn’t accommodate us, a reasonable 1/3 of the total cost,
but my messages have been completely ignored.

It’s a real shame, as I’d hoped the hotel would handle the situation with more professionalism and courtesy. I can’t recommend staying here given how poorly they’ve managed this issue after the fact.

I went with my wife to NYX hotel in…

I went with my wife to NYX hotel in Hertzelia.
We asked for a quiet room. The room was on the top floor probably below the A/C engines with a constant hamming that disturbed sleep. Before midnight we asked for a different room and we got a quiet room on the second floor. Not too long a tractor started working in the middle of the night with a constant laud beep when driving in reverse.
We packed our stuff and went home without sleeping there. The night guard was not surprised to see us leaving.

Overpriced Stay with Surprisingly Poor Hospitality – Would Not Return

We recently stayed at NYX Hotel Limassol, and while the rooms were clean, the breakfast was good, and the business lounge was a nice space, the overall experience unfortunately left a lot to be desired.

Let’s start with check-in. We arrived at noon, aware that official check-in is later – no issue there. However, the receptionist’s attitude was… questionable. We were told to wait by the rooftop pool area, which was due to close in a few hours for a private event – not exactly a warm welcome. The receptionist promised to try and have the room ready early, which we appreciated. But after sitting in the lobby for over 3 hours, we approached the desk again at 3:20pm, only to finally be allowed to check in.

What stung even more was watching other guests being invited to wait in the business lounge – a far more comfortable option we weren’t even told about. Whether it was oversight or selective treatment, it didn’t leave a good impression.

The rooftop pool? Visually nice, but not functional. Open only from 10am to 6pm, with no sun umbrellas – meaning you’re expected to enjoy peak sun hours fully exposed. On top of that, it gets closed off regularly for private events. While that’s understandable for events, it makes you wonder what, exactly, the €500+ price tag is paying for.

Poolside staff were also notably unfriendly. No words were exchanged, but their body language clearly said we weren’t welcome there.

At the gym, I experienced an uncomfortable situation: while looking for a restroom, a spa employee shouted across the room, “Where does she think she’s going?” – loud enough for others to hear. As a guest, that moment was deeply awkward and unnecessary.

Another guest had an even more bizarre experience. After ordering food from outside (as many do), she was stopped by security and told she wasn’t allowed to eat in her own room, nor in the lobby. Fortunately, she stood her ground. But honestly, such rules – if they exist – should be clearly communicated and enforced with respect, not confrontation.

All in all, we’ve traveled extensively and stayed in many hotels. Unfortunately, this is one of the few where we left saying, “Never again.” The hospitality was inconsistent, the warmth absent, and the amenities were either inaccessible or poorly managed. Several friends who had considered staying here have now decided otherwise – and I can’t say I blame them.

Management would be wise to review not just their policies, but also how their staff interacts with guests. A hotel with this kind of pricing should offer more than just a clean bed and a decent breakfast.

WOWCHER NYX SCAM…AVOID!

After recently receiving a Wowcher to stay at the NYX Hotel in London I'm absolutely disgusted with the customer service response.
Whilst I can appreciate when purchasing said voucher, there may be restrictions on the dates available to find that there are only 3 days out of 365...yes that's right...3 days available within a year (2 in January, 1 in February) to redeem and use the voucher.
If you are not able to redeem on these 3 available days, additional fees are charged.
Wowcher has informed me that it is the hotel that makes the 'free' days available to the voucher purchaser, but only 3 days in the year is absolutely scandalous and a complete rip-off.
The hotel customer service are unwilling to assist in resolving this issue by offering alternative dates...we've found out is actually cheaper to book the hotel through Booking.com which I hasten to add we will not being doing so due to the way we have been scammed by not only Wowcher, but the NYX Hotel and their parent company.
DO NOT PURCHASE THROUGH WOWCHER as you'll be extremely disappointed not too mention out of pocket too 😡 Have now reported this issue to the FCA and Trading Standards.

NYX Bilbao

I recently stayed at the NYX Hotel in Bilbao for five days, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish.

The hotel’s modern and stylish decor immediately stood out, creating a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere. My room was impeccably clean, well-appointed, and had all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was especially comfortable, ensuring I had a great night’s sleep every night.

The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of Bilbao, making it incredibly convenient to explore the city’s main attractions. Many great restaurants, shops, and landmarks were just a short walk away.

The staff were friendly, professional, and always eager to help with recommendations or any questions I had. Their warm hospitality added a personal touch to my stay.

Breakfast was another highlight, with a wide variety of fresh and delicious options to start the day. The attention to detail in every aspect of the service was noticeable.

Overall, I highly recommend the NYX Hotel Bilbao for anyone visiting the city. Whether it’s for a short break or an extended stay, it’s a fantastic choice for comfort, convenience, and excellent service.

where do I begin

where do I begin? We booked this hotel because it was one of the very few in the location we wanted that offered early check in. 10 am! PERFECT. After an overnight flight me and my girlfriends were excited to get rested before our 1 am reservation for lunch. We get there and the experience was anything but relaxing. The front desk staff were very rude, told us the room still would not be ready until 3 and only after 4 requests, were we finally let into a room at 11. The beds were comfy but not king as advertised. We ordered the Galentines package and never received the strawberries or the candle as advertised. They did comp our breakfast which was nice but we did not plan on eating breakfast there in the first place. The upper level was constantly nosey from the outside trash bin and the fire alarm went off nearly every day. We were never brought clean towels and ended up having to buy our own toilet paper. The Photo Booth in the lobby was a nice touch but ran out of paper on day one and despite many requests, was never refilled. There was a small charge on my card after that the staff could not tell me what it was from even after asking for a receipt.

The only thing saving this hotel from a 1 star is fabulous service we received from Mat and Dion! They were absolutely fantastic and we looked for to seeing them for our night cap every night upon returning.

The hotel itself is clean and looks like the picture but for $607 USD a night, I honestly expect and deserve more. Please look elsewhere when considering booking this hotel.

I booked a room at the hotel NYX Hotel…

I booked a room at the hotel NYX Hotel London Holborn by Leonardo Hotels in February for 06.05-11.05. In April due to medical condition I needed to start treatment and could not travel. I contacted the hotel in order to cancel the booking, the hotel declined the booking and offered to amend the dates. For the last 10 days am waiting for the hotel to confirm the updated dates. As the reservation went through Booking the hotel is not responding to my emails and according to Booking the hotel did not send a response to them as well..I cannot recommend the hotel...

Booked a stay at NYX Esperia Palace…

Booked a stay at NYX Esperia Palace athens for 18th May through Expedia. Weeks before I noticed that it still wasn't open. I messaged NYX a few times on their web page, through Expedia website and on their instagram and was told it would be open in time or they just didnt respond near the end, so I contacted Expedia two weeks before and they they told me it would be open in time and that they hadn't heard anything and if not i should just go and when I get there if its not open they would give me a replacement hotel ( I assume they said this in the hope that I wouldn't cancel my booking and when I got there they would give me any rubbish hotel). So I called the hotel in Athens directly and a helpful lady proceed to tell me that she didn't think it would be open in time due to electric works. As you can imagine I was upset as I would now have to find a new hotel 2 weeks before, which was now limited and prices had raised. The lady was helpful with helping me get my full refund back from Expedia but didn't make up for the fact that although I had made previous numerous attempts to contact, that 2 weeks before my flight, which was booked separately I now had to find a new hotel. Luckily o found a beautiful excellent hotel called the InterContinental Athenaeum Athens, an IHG Hotel. Only giving NYX a 2 star because of how helpful the lady was at NYX with helping with the cancellation with Expedia. Expedia were appalling. I see that upto last week the hotel still isn't even open. Terrible behaviour to take money from people and not keep us upto date on it not being open. When I booked it said it would be open weeks before I was due to travel and I didn't get any communication to say that had changed. Disappointing

"Great" standards of the hotel in central London

Stayed at nyx holborn in october for 1 night. Upon the arrival i tried to check in with one of theirs computers which didn't work, so wasted at least 10 minutes, until one of the staff checked me in manually.
Room:
Once inside, i found hand prints all over the mirrors, we found hair on the pillows. Inside of minifridge half empty pepsi.
SPA:
Clean little spa. No issues there.
Food:
Ordered burger, which came overcooked dry and disgusting.
Roof bar:
Nice cocktails, nice staff no issues there.
All in all bad experience, dirty room, disgusting food. Will not be coming back.

No extra charge for rescheduling

Due to certain circumstances, I could not fly to Milan on time and the hotel agreed to reschedule the visit to any dates until the end of the year with an extra charge (depending on seasonality). As a result, when I arrived a couple of months later at the reception, I did not have to pay extra, which was a good surprise. The hotel itself in Milan is very beautiful and quiet, despite the presence of the train station nearby. In general, I recommend.

TRICKED

Immediately after checking in all websites this afternoon went to £189 per night for Superior Double Room.

I persistently tried all last night and this morning until just before check in ALL WEBSITES SHOWED £214 FOR ONE NIGHT - AND THIS IS WITHOUT A BUFFET BREAKFAST. VERY SHARP PRACTICE TO FIND THIS PRICE CHANGE ON ALL WEBSITES SO SOON AFTER CHECK IN!!

The room we have is small, not enough storage but nicely decorated. No cleaning provided at all.

Please be consistent and kind to your guests. That is the only way they will return.

Thoroughly enjoyed staying at this hotel.

Have just been for three nights at NYX Holborn London, and loved the place ! Newly refurnbished, a lovely smart hotel . The room and furnishings really luxurious and comfortable ,- clearly a lot of thought has been given to it . A great breakfast, and all the staff charming . Very easy access from mainline train services, and busses and tube right on the doorstep. I will be visiting again!
