Feels like a scam
This "company's" ad found me on Instagram. You follow a link where it says that you will earn on cargo shipments. They ask you for your name, email address and phone number. It turns out that the investments that they offer are much wider. Then somebody from their support team calls you whenever they please and if you try and arrange a time they are always late. I work in financial industry and know the rules really well.
Things to watch out for:
1. They are not FCA registered which means you don't have protection - when asked about it they say we can't be covered by FCA because they don't regulate what they offer. - other platforms though let you know what is regulated and what is not. So that doesn't sound right.
2. They don't verify you before you transfer your money in. Once you want to withdraw money, they ask you to verify your identity and don't have any ither way to withdraw the money.
3. Level of unprofessionalism - I spoke to two people there. Once I have mentioned that I don't want to continue the relationship with the company, they start to tell that "you are just afraid", "don't listen to your emotions", "you just don't understand how the industry works", "just do it and you will gain trust". Then when none of that works they become aggressive. One guy started personal attacks on me. The other just hung up without even saying goodbye and when I tried to call back, he never picked up. I was polite throughout both calls and said straight away that I have nothing personal against the people, but I don't want to deal with the company itself.
4. They tell you they will tell you how to avoid paying tax by depositing the money into crypto, saying it is the safest currency there is, which is not right, because it is untraceable and a lot of scammers use it to make sure you never get your money back. Tax evasion is a serious crime and is punishable.
5. When you look at their Trustpilot profile, the company is not verified in any way. All positive reviews are from profiles who only have 1 review on TrustPilot.
6. When you go to their website and click on Regulation, you are taken to the companies house which does not confirm what regulation thay are under. Anybody can register on Gov.uk. They have no idea what GDPR is and when you ask them questions about it they get confused. Any financial institution operating in the UK legally will know this because, again, any misuse of personal information is punishable by law.
7. They would only open a Cash ISA when you invest 5000.
I learned the hard way that the knowledge shared with me wasn't worth the stress I had to go through with this shady company. I only lost £78 and happy that I quickly realised that I need to do my research. I am posting this for you to learn from my experience and know what awaits you if you do choose to invest with them.
