Horrendous customer care after…

Horrendous customer care after purchase.

Car came with 3 months warranty, had an issue within 2 weeks of having the car. Got it fixed, was told by Sonny to send over the receipt to give it to warranty company and he explained 30 days until we get a response. It’s now been 35 days since (65 since receipt sent) I was suppose to get a response and all of a sudden there’s absolutely no communication, through email, WhatsApp or call so clearly avoiding me. Have contacted Autotrader they have now admitted Sonny doesn’t use them anymore to advertise his cars.

Shame Oakwood Autos are not willing to respond when ultimately they’re just putting their business into a dangerous territory.

Great experience

It's taken me a year to write this review. If I taken notice of some of the other reviews I wouldn't have gone to oakwood, but we all have different experiences. I visted oakwood on two occasions and both times I wasn't pressured or hassled. My wife and I were left alone to browse. The 2nd visit which was the following weekend to the first visit, we found a few cars that we liked. Some of the cars were unlocked, some were locked. So we ask if we could have a look in the locked ones. We were given the keys and told if we need anything just pop back in the office. We were torn between 2 cars and again, we didn't get pushed to by one or the other. Test drives done we had decided. I put down a deposit and told them I wouldn't be able to get back to the garage to collect until the following Sunday. To my surprise they said they could deliver the car to me. Thank you. How about today when the garage closes they said. So a couple of hours later I had my new car sat on my driveway. I will definitely visit again when my son passes his test. Thank you oakwood

Disgusting people

Disgusting service. Rude when selling as if doing us a favour and angry when we asked basic question about the car. Then when it broke less than 24hrs later we got abuse and threats for having the nerve to be unhappy and turn up on a Sunday without telling them first. Luckily we recorded all and had leverage to threaten them to get our money back although we still had to chase and left waiting longer than we should've. Absolutely disgusting 'business'. Not worth the stress

Do not buy a car from these people

Do not buy a car from these people. If anything goes wrong, including engine failure. They won’t give your money back and even tho they got the car in for repair some 6 months later, their unable to fix and still have the car. Quick to take your money, but not quick on repairing or giving money back. Heavily advise never to buy from them and am currently on verge of legal action. I’m currently still without the car which I paid 7k for

DO NOT USE OAKWOOD AUTOS

I would NOT recommend oakwood autos, absolute shambles, I bought a Freelander 2, had to replace ALL 4 tyres at my own cost, after hearing a loud horrendous noise on car , I went to my local TRUSTED garage (where all my cars have been taken for past 10yrs) and was told a wheel bearing and the rear diff was onway out, contacted SONNY and was told HAD to be taken to Bristol for one of THEIR local garages to check over, was trying to get car down to him, after speaking to my mechanic he said car was not safe to drive the 80+miles to get it back to bristol, so was told by sonny it was going to cost £350 to recover and id have to cover half the cost, yet I got qoutes myself, most expensive was £200, so I feel oakwood was trying to con me, I contacted finance company who have tried to step in and help by offering to cover recovery cost, and now even they are being given the run around by them, promised a quote for recovery by end of work day on Thursday STILL NOTHING, I've now started return and refund, and STILL they ignore me I've tried calling not sure if my number has been blocked, I've WhatsApped them and been ignored, VERY DISHONEST COMPANY, WISH ID READ PREVIOUS REVIEWS, ABSOLUTELY APPALLED AT THIS COMPANY

Bad attitude and scam warranty offering

Saw a car I was keen on and took it for a test drive and the dealer gave me a copy of their 247warranties.com leaflet but said the clucth would not be covered as it was an out of date brochure and he wanted it back as it was his only copy (printer in 2017!) and if I didn't buy the warranty at point of sale it would be more but he would have to phone his director as to the cost. There had been a lot of complaints over attitude of staff and also after sales repairs, this chap was less than friendly and having Googled 247warranties.com this site no longer exists so their warranty is a complete scam, beware/avoid!

Great service

I bought a car from here last week. I felt like the service was great, not too pushy and no hassle. They gave me time on my own with the car on the forecourt and out for a drive. Car is doing great so far.
