Mike always provides the most thoughtful and eloquent reviews. When he listens to your music, he truly “gets it” and gets to the heart of the material, revealing aspects of it that even you as the artist was not aware of.

Mike does not understand the difference between the word 'some' and 'all' apparently. He was told an accurate statement that 'Some curators would have to review 75 songs on Submithub to equal payout for feedback for 1 song on our platform' in regards to becoming a curator on our site. This statement is true. However, he is upset that he was not one of the curators who's attention deemed that 75X payout appropriate. The sign up page has a plethora of information on how the system works (including a video explanation). Mike decided that instead of reading how the system works or asking follow up questions, he now has expectation that our platform works exactly like Submithub.

I have worked with Mike on several campaigns and can definitely say he's a gem to have in the arsenal. I think in our modern age it can be difficult to find folks who are genuine in their passion for nurturing music culture. Possessing this trait is a big part of what sets Mike apart with his services. He is also incredibly organized, which is beyond helpful in a medium that has so many moving parts, so this helps keep the weight off of the artist a bit. I appreciated how responsive he is. Again, in a field where there's so many spinning plates it can be easy to get swept up and become unresponsive, but that has never been the case with Mike. I highly recommend trusting your work and campaigns with Mike and the Obscure Sound team

I’ve worked with Mike at Obscure Sound once as a full fledged PR agent and several times through a 3rd party service. I’ve only had professional, top notch exchanges with him. After the campaigns were complete he kept his promise and offered consultation as a follow up. It felt like a risk at first to go with his service (I’ve been scammed and taken advantage of recently) but it was the experience in the music business I hoped for. I got great results from his pitches as well.

Mike was very transparent about his PR process and was quick to answer any question I had. As someone who was promoting a brand new music project with a very small fanbase, I was happy with the amount of Spotify playlist adds and blog write-ups I was able to get as a result of this campaign.
