I've bought a few guitars from Chris over the years and only have good things to say. Really honest, super knowledgeable, and generous with his time. My sense is that he's genuinely delighted about a great guitar going to someone who's going to love it. He has a knack of finding exceptional examples of instruments and lists them as diligently and accurately as possible. A top bloke selling top guitars!

I honestly cannot recommend Chris at O’Donnell’s Guitars highly enough. I was looking for a particular guitar, and Chris went above and beyond to do everything he possibly could to help me get it. Throughout the whole process, he was incredibly patient, helpful and, above all, honourable.

The guitar world can sometimes feel very much like a business of getting the highest price possible, but Chris genuinely feels different. He comes across as someone who cares about helping players find the right instrument and getting great guitars into the hands of people who will appreciate them, rather than simply making the most money he can.

If you’re looking at a few different guitars and Chris happens to have one of the options, I would wholeheartedly recommend going through him! You’ll struggle to find someone who will work harder to help you, treat you fairly and do right by you as a customer.

I've had a number of guitars from Chris O'Donnell over the years and all fo them have been spot on, exactly as described down to the last detail and I've never been disappointed or let down by Chris.

His attention to detail is above and beyond and tbh he's l'il bit anal when it comes to ensuring that he only supplies the best of the best (maybe thats a good thing but don't tell him that!!!).

The inspection reports that Chris issues with his guitars isn't just a piece of paper - it's an absolute guarantee that Chris has gone through every aspect of the guitar you're buying and this ensures that what you buy is exactly what you get.

Now, Chris is NOT the cheapest, he doesn't profess to be, but you're not just paying for a guitar. You're paying for the years of knowledge and buying and selling guitars that he has under his belt, the tens of thousands of miles he's travelled to find "that special guitar" for someone that nobody else can find - but somehow he does that!

You're paying for his expert eye and knowledge of how a guitar should play, feel, look, quality, marks, wear and tear, and his expansive knowledge of the instruments he sells, you're paying for that assurance that what you're buying is genuine and from a traceable source.

In a nutshell, there are guitar sellers, then there are great guitar sellers ... then there's Chris! 'Nuff Said!

I have been dealing with O'Donnell's guitar and especially Chris for a number of years now, it was always with great pleasure from a Texas Blue deluxe Tele to some amazing vintage like Slash stuff and Martin guitar. I was so lucky to buy my guitar, and now guitar(s), from Chris at O Donnell guitars - he is a sniffer dog for excellent guitars, checking over their condition diligently and forensically which, as a buyer, really puts your mind at ease. He has an encyclopaedic knowledge of Fenders and Gibsons and will listen to your feedback before going on the hunt for you. If he has a guitar that you’re interested in, you can rest assured it has a proven documented past, condition assessment and each one has been set up professionally, ready to go. On top of all that, he’s a great guy to deal with - communicative, fair and decent. After buying my Gibson Custom Shop ‘57 Les Paul from him, I never went to anybody else if I was looking for another guitar. He will find you your guitar and you’ll know it’s the best one available for your budget. I can’t recommend him enough.

I met up with Chris to view a couple of 335’s, great guitars in fab original condition. I was particularly taken with a 69 model in stunning cherry red!

I've bought several guitars from Chris and the quality of them has been excellent. Carefully set up and in exactly the condition he advertises.
He has also taken a couple of my guitars in part exchange and always offers a fair price.
We are 140 miles apart so Chris is also willing to meet at an agreed location, usually halfway between so we can satisfy ourselves that the deal is good for both of us. It always has been.
