Deception in plain sight

Just be aware that if you use the Officeworks intranet, the information may be manipulated by them. For example, I noticed when I entered scott-rauvers.com into their intranet that it does not go to the website, but to another website. This is not only deceptive to customers but mis-direction and theft of information.
Proof of this deception can be found by doing a search for the video titled: Officeworks Australia Manipulates User Internet Traffic. This show proof of their deception. This is an act of misleading the public in plain sight. Are these people above the law?

Shocking

Shocking. I ordered an item to click and collect as was going to Adelaide (I live rural). In stock, ordered, paid etc. Went down and don't have stock. Even though they did at the time of order. Wanted to then cancel order, can't do that in store have to do it online. So came home and after being on hold for 41 minutes used my mobile to phone (whilst still on hold) and someone finally answered and I told them I had been on hold for ages on the other phone. Finally stoke to a human and told that they can't do the credit and cancellation so put through to customer service, oh yehah, on hold another 30 minutes, finally cancelled order and wanting for payment to be reimbursed. This was yesterday, then today at 4 pm get an email to say my order is waiting to be collected. NEVER AGAIN. I want a refund, I want it now and will not spend 2 hours in transit with them again. The postage for this one ink cartridge was going to be $25. Ridiculous. Lost my business.

Officeworks chose TGL to deliver so deserve the same contempt.

Officeworks chooses to partner with the most despicable of couriers which has resulted in worsening health condition, a disabled child unable to attend schools and severe anxiety for said child
We shopped every store north of Melbourne when my son's device broke the day before school started . No one stocked the item we needed but we were assured delivery would be quick.
Team Global Express came up on my order and I immediately shuddered. Why would you not just use Auspost.
It was due for delivery Monday, no show. Tuesday no show. I called and let them know just how important this was. They didn't care
I requested notifications for progress.
Wednesday I got nothing. 3pm I was gone for 5 minutes to collect daughter
On the website it said driver will attempt contact... There was no attempt. NONE. I saw and spoke to him in the doorbell and he ignored me. My neighbour over the road could sign for it. . I called immediately and they told me it was back at the warehouse! I told them he literally knocked at the door 2 minutes ago!! No its back at the warehouse. I was raging so I hung up and used the chat. The chat claiming to be a person was a bot. At 3.36 I got a notification, good news, your delivery is on board and will arrive today 🤬🤬🤬 this is 36 minutes after the attempt.
I will be contacting the ACCC As this excuse for service has caused my son I imaginable disadvantage and angst! Give up and go home.

Click and collect system

The click and collect system was a spectacular failure. When ordering one item that wasnt in stock, i was told it would be ready for collection in 2 hours. So i drive 45 minutes in the middle of dinner time to find out they didnt have it in stock. So the order was cancelled and the refund for over $250 will take 5 days. Meanwhile i still need the item with no money to purchase it.

Disappointing Customer Service

Firstly, I sent a request to customer service two weeks ago and I am still waiting for a reply. I doubt that it takes that long to reply to an email, even if 'more than usual' requests are being received. This seems to be the standard reply anyway.
Secondly, it happened to me twice now that I bought a technology product (Logitech keyboard and Comsol hub) that stopped working just after 12 months of purchasing. And when I say 'just' I literally mean 3 or 4 days! Officeworks is very inflexible and does not allow any grace period, which is very annoying. It seems, they time their products to make it just beyond the 12 month mark so they don't have to replace them under warranty and you have to buy a new product.

I paid for their mistake and won't be buying there again

I ordered an iPad A16 on Monday, ETA Tuesday. A $39 price reduction was advertised on the Tuesday while my order was still in preparation. I rang the call centre to ask for the reduction to be applied to my purchase and was told the price would be adjusted when I collected the iPad. (No stock available locally so I ordered online).
On collection (after it was delivered to the store 1 day late), I asked for the price to be adjusted in accordance with the advice from the call centre and was told by 2 staff members that it couldn't be done. I posted on Officeworks Facebook page to say that the call centre had given me incorrect information and was told the only way to get the lower price was to return the product and reorder! A simple credit was beyond company policy. Officework prefers losing a customer to owning its mistake. Was it poor training? Given that store staff were adamant in telling me company policy is not to adjust prices, I believe that call centre staff may be trained to fob off customers without resolving the issue.

No customer service by phone

Impossible to contact by phone. Tried the store, the warranty number and general customer service and can't through on any. Automated message says that there are no support staff available and disconnects. Went to the webpage as instructed by the message, no category for my query. All direct you to go into the store. 0 stars.

Some products are substandard and shouldn't be stocked.

They have a good range of products at reasonable prices, stock availability, delivery, and staff I have dealt with have been knowledgeable and helpful, as well as available.
However, in some respects products I have purchased have been so substandard that it can be considered close to theft. Case in point a HMD Nokia 5.4, could have purchased a brick for much less that would have been more useful as a mobile phone.

Disappointed and somewhat dishonest

Disappointed and somewhat dishonest. Officeworks offers a 5% price beat. The lady was not helpful and felt like she was trying to get out of it. I was trying to buy an iMac where Amazon.com.au was showing it at $2740 and Officeworks had it at $2947. First the lady said she couldn't find the Amazon listing. Then she found it and said that her systems didn't allow for that specific colour to be matched. Then she said the Amazon listing did not have the model # listed, so they cant match it. After holding for over 30 minutes just to speak to someone, this was disappointing.

Untrustworthy retail and pathetic. Avoid at all cost

Purchased a laptop and in 1 month had problem of freezing and shutting down immediately. Tried to get refund but got told only repair is possible. Told off to contact the manufacturer and they can choose what remedy to give me. Never dealt with such pathetic retail before. Absolutely horrendous.

I attempted to create an account online and continually received the message "We're having trouble creating your account. Try again in a few minutes".

Apart from the error telling me NOTHING I then spent the next 20 minutes trying different emails, making sure there was no firewall or VPN settings on and still no success. Still no explanation either.

I then spent another 20 minutes on the phone WAITING for support to answer with no success. Clearly they DO NOT want any business. Had enough ... I'll go to other competitors.

Not accepting return with One pass

Despite the fact One Pass saying that items can be returned within 365 days to any office works store. Office work is saying that electronics items are excluded. It is not mentioned in one pass terms and conditions.

Quite disappointed.

I ordered a printer for pickup-the saga continues

I ordered a printer for pickup-the website said it was available for pick up and to expect an sms the next ... But there is no tracking information, I could not raise anyone at the branch (one phone option had been disabled, and another does not exist.) I finally got to corporate complaints, only to be told that it is still in the warehouse. I run a small business from home, but that doesn't bother them.

Placed an online order for photos and other products

Placed an online order for photos, mug and keychain. Each time I was told my order was ready to be picked up, it was only for one product at a time. I was told this is because each product comes from a different supplier, however, I drove over 40 mins each time! I also tried contacting the store prior to picking up each order, but no customer service picked up at Loganholme branch.

Track and trace through Star Track was good (when I was finally given the tracking info from the customer support call centre- despite store staff telling me they couldn’t provide this info ) I was told see when orders had arrived. However, when orders arrived at Loganholme QLD facility, I was told they weren’t ready for pickup. Staff also said they didn’t know how to give updates on products and were unable to track products!

Frustrating service. Will not be doing customisable products through them again. Save yourself the headaches.
