Transfer cancelled.

Set up a $2000 transfer from Canadian account to US account to cover some expenses. Received confirmation and timeline of delivery. The next day receive an email that the transfer was cancelled because they could not reach me. They have all my information on file and no message or phone call where receive. Disappointing to say the least.

We booked a transaction and asked them…

We booked a transaction and asked them to ensure they used the debt instead of wire transfer . We had this done in December with no issues but the person who booked the transfer for some reason used the wire transfer routing number so the money was rejected. This mean we couldn’t meet a payment deadline. Not happy when I phoned the answer was I don’t know why it was done that way

I had wonderful customer service and…

I had wonderful customer service and assistance with Conor D. - it gave me confidence in using OFX. I was comparing currency transfer companies for ongoing future transfers and surprised at how difficult it was getting the runaround/obfuscating from other companies on basic questions regarding fees and rate markups. Conor was helpful, knowledgeable and personable and OFX was very transparent. Conor went through all my questions in detail and helped me get my account set up efficiently. The customer service I received from Conor gave me the assurance to use OFX over other companies I had considered.

Nelly is superb!

Today I was setting up an account with the help of Nelly, from Toronto. I am a Senior (82) with less than stellar competency on computers. However, she was very knowledgeable and walked me through the steps with patience. What a wonderful customer care representative!!

Transfer not completed

The transfer of $US to a US bank has not been completed despite me making 4 different calls to customer service.
My previous experience with OFX and its predecessor has been very good.

I received a couple of different…

I received a couple of different suggestions as to why my funds didn’t go through. One was that I needed a Swft Code , which was incorrect and the other was that my transit code was incorrect. The latter was correct and I praise the rep for correcting that for me. This rep that indicated that I have a Swift code, I think needed to investigate my issue more . .

Worse company ever!!

Worse company ever!!! I am so frustrated with the them. One month after I had completed a big transfer with them in 2022, they phoned and asked me for proof of funds, which I had already provided, which is why they approved my transfer in the first place. I was suspicious of this strange request and asked them to send me an email to this fact. They never did. Fast forward to 2023, I wanted to do another transfer and they blocked my account and a customer rep sent me an email this time asking for listing the list of documents from 2022. I immediately complied and sent all the documents he listed in his email to me. I just called to follow up on the status of my account and to my frustration they need another list of documents, which is not logical! I find then inefficient given that if I had missing documents why did they approve the transfer in 2022, then ask me for additional documents a month later. Why now ask for additional documents after I just sent all the documents requested 2 days ago!!! I have no problem providing requested documents, but they have to be relevant!!! Why do they need a 3 month bank statement, pay stub proof, etc... I am not applying for mortgage???? Soooo frustrating and a waste of my time!!! Be clear about what you want from the beginning, stop giving people the run around!!

Sonam Khedup and the team at OFX

The team at OFX, and particularly our account manager Sonam Khedup, have been stellar. The speed at which Sonam works and attention to our account is, and always has been, phenomenal. We have used OFX for over 5 years now. Sonam is proactive in providing heads-up to us when necessary and quite often picks up the phone to speak with us, then follows through with a confirmation email on actions taken. Amazing Customer Service!

My very first experience working with OFX was fantastic! I have never dealt with money transfers of any sorts and I had the perfect guide, Noel Fraser, help me through everything I needed. He was patient and kind even after I messed up on my first attempted transfer. Great customer service is hard to come by these days but I sure had it with Noel. I look forward to working with him and OFX in the future!

When building a new home in Italy, while living in Canada, OFX has been invaluable not only in getting the best exchange rates, but also in sending funds to a wide variety of businesses and contractors. I would recommend OFX wholeheartedly as their online platform is easy to use.

A total disgrace

I submitted a transfer on 7-25; the next day 10k was taken from my account; on 7-30 I received an email saying that recipient has been paid ( a lie it turned out). when informed by recipient that the funds were never credited to their account, I have been contacting ofx about this issue since 8-10; I requested both a trace and a recall/refund. I obtained a signed letter from the recipient/recipient bank stating that after investigation the transfer never reached them and forwarded to ofx to indicate that the issue is within their network of correspondents. I will spare you the numerous outrageous nonsensical arguments I got on the phone from the so-called ofxperts who seem to be programmed to spout at time, idiotic prefabricated answers with complete disregard to the particular situation you are bringing forward. To date, after 45 days, no result on the trace. Imagine that for a second: the self proclaimed expert in moving funds is unable to tell a customer where exactly the funds are being sequestered. The latest idiotic and rather insulting response from ofx is that their recall is contingent upon the response from the recipient/recipient bank; memo to you: they already said that they do no have the funds, look elsewhere.
It is disgraceful for a company to resort to such diversion tactics in the hope to exhaust a customer.
Take responsibility for your failure and send a refund promptly. To everyone who is having a great experience with ofx, ride your luck until a problem occurs; their true color will shine through.

Absolutely amazing service and great rates

Setup my OFX account on Monday…verified within minutes by an extremely helpful OFXpert. Made the wire transfer to OFX the following day (after an interrogation by 4 staff members at my bank under the pretence that it was anti fraud etc which took several hours for them to fill in their questionnaire and wire my money to OFX) and the transfer from OFX to my vendor was completed within hours. I informed my bank during the interrogation that they missed out on this business because they were $2,000 (plus fees!) more expensive…..silence. Great service, incredibly easy, reliable and love the app and updates on the transfer status. I’ll be back soon to move currency between my corporate accounts for excellent exchange rates.

Excellent customer service

I needed to accelerate a wire transfer to complete a very important purchase. The manager, Jordana Moses, came up with a solution and followed it through to completion. Her response time my questions and requests was amazing.
