I brought the Olaplex No. 4C Bond Maintenance Clarifying Shampoo from Amazon. I saw lots of reviews on this product and thought it would be good for my naturally grey and increasingly fragile and fine hair since hitting the menopause. Around the same time, I also brought the LESS FRIZZ, MORE SHINE KIT from the main Olaplex site. Unfortunately, I had an allergic reaction to the Olaplex shampoo which I brought from Amazon - my scalp developed itchy inflamed spots this has taken a month of medicated shampoo to remedy.

On further research I found there is a class-action lawsuit filed in California against Olaplex Holdings Inc. by 30 plaintiffs, who claim that using Olaplex products resulted in "serious injury" to their hair and scalp. Some plaintiffs claim they experienced hair loss, with some losing more than half their hair and developing bald spots. Others experienced similar issues to me - scalp issues like extreme itchiness, rash, yeast infection, bacterial infection, open sores, burning, and overall sensitivity. Olaplex had denied these claims.

I decided to return the unopened LESS FRIZZ, MORE SHINE KIT and the shampoo to Olaplex (Bleckmann UK). They promptly refunded me for the kit but not the shampoo. Since 21st February I have been repeatedly asking them to either refund the shampoo or return it. They refuse to give me a refund and state I must contact Amazon, but I can't return the shampoo to Amazon because they won't return the shampoo.

Not only have I had an awful experience with this product but there is no customer care or accountability - I wouldn't touch them or their products with a barge pole.

Olaplex products do absolutely nothing. I received a very bad blond balayage where the woman destroyed my hair and I bought multiple olaplex products to repair the damage, but it does nothing. My hair is still super dry and insanely frizzy.

Don’t ever let any Olaplex products touch your hair! It damaged my hair and scalp! I’m a Hair Stylist of 24 years and have never seen a product line do this much damage. You will regret it!

I purchased a pack of faulty Olaplex shampoo and conditioner, the bottles do not seal and the product leaks to the point you can squeeze the bottle with the lid done up tight and air and product still escapes. Olaplex customer service is run by AI and regardless of your complaint the same response is automatically generated.

The customer service of this company is atrocious, do not buy anything from this company. When I did have a complaint about a product it 2 months for company to respond and they still did not resolve my issue.

I began to experience hair loss after using Olaplex 9. I had used Olaplex 3 once or twice a month for a few years without issue, but in November 2024, I began using it weekly, and Olaplex 9. Shortly after starting to use Olapplex 9 and increasing my use of Olaplex 3, I began to notice significant hair loss. It was falling out in clumps. I stopped using the products, and my hair loss began to slow down significantly, akin to the normal loss expected when washing hair. I reached out to get a refund and have been repeatedly sent the same email telling me their products are safe with a link to the "study," leading me back to their home page. A quick search on Google did not produce any study results either. The hair loss is very depressing as my hair was strong and healthy before. Between the pain and suffering of hair loss and the medical costs of running bloodwork to make sure something else was not going on, I wish I had never used these products. Stay away from this company.

I ordered from the Olaplex website direct in November 2024 and have never received my order. I disputed this with my bank and now Olaplex said they sent my goods. I have never received them and the service received from them has been terrible. They do not believe me and have told my bank this as well. I will never use them again.

Ordered two products on a special offer and they only sent one of them. When I complained they said the other was out of stock then offered me a free sample of it, which never materialised. Very poor customer service and will avoid in future.

I’ve have recently started using Olaplex products and all over done is itch! I’ve come out in hives around the back of neck and my ears
There’s something in this product that causes irritation as much as they say it don’t.
I do have sensitive skin but no other shampoo/conditioner gives me these reactions!
For an expensive well known product if you have sensitive skin then I wouldn’t bother
I have friends and family who use this and rate it a lot!

Bought a product as a christmas gift and it never arrived. I have emailed twice and they have not bothered to respond. I can see from other reviews that they clearly do not care about customer service, just getting the money. I will be going to my bank to get a refund.

Terrible experience using olaplex no 10. I always used their other products and they were good. No 10 was absolute disaster, hair was extremely frizzy, looked damaged and even resulted in hair breakage. I had never experienced worse product for curly hair. I contacted olaplex.uk and told them about my awful experience, asked if I can get a refund as I still had my receipt, but they never responded. I am professional hairdresser and even worked as educator in L’Oréal hair academy and kerastase hair institute for years, so, I definitely knew how to apply gel. Their customer service and no response was shocking experience taking to account that I spent a fortune on their products and they aren’t cheap. Even though I did like their other products, I would never buy anything from them because of that mistreatment. I got curl products from Redken and I have to say they are very good! Avoid at all costs!

Best haircare brand out there. High quality products that really works! I have been using them for years and would never be without it!

I love all products from Olaplex in different ways. But for all of them, i love the fresh scents, how light weight they are and never feels greasy in the hair.

Olaplex is a game changer!

Terrible customer service
I placed an order 3 weeks ago and it hasn’t shipped yet. I wasted time and contacted them multiple times and the only answer i get is our team is looking at shipping options. No resolution provided. I gave them enough opportunities to make it right, but they aren’t doing anything. This is sad as I used to like their products. I will fill a dispute with my bank.

My experience with Olaplex was completely unacceptable. I placed an order solely because of a promotion offering a free product with purchase. However, I only received one item, not both. When I contacted customer service, they insisted that both items were shipped, but I never received the free product. Instead of resolving the issue, they refused to send the missing item, claiming ‘low stock,’ and wouldn’t even allow me to return the product I did receive without charging me.

This is misleading and dishonest. If you can’t honor your promotions, don’t run them! This experience felt like a bait-and-switch, and I won’t be shopping with Olaplex again

I've used Olaplex since prior to their UK launch when products had to be imported from the US at some considerable additional expense back in the day so overall I'm a fan - or was. I did recently make a return as I thought a promotional offered was somewhat misleading. Since then, I've had to chase up on numerous occasions for a refund and in spite of providing proof of delivery back to their warehouse on 4/11 I'm still waiting and they've advised I should wait until 16/12. 6 weeks for a refund? Absolutely not! Traders must refund within 14 days of receipt of returned goods. There are other decent comparable products available now so Olaplex isn't quite the super hot ticket it was back in 2014 so even though I do like several of the products, this is off-putting.

I got the blonde mini kit. This is amazing. My hair is soft and shiny and has no sign of damage. It took out all of the brassy yellowish tones. My hair looks like it did the day I walked out of the salon. I am so impressed and I will definitely be buying full-size products.

Olaplex UK, currently are using the courier service Evri (formerly Hermes).

The name change has not affected their terrible reputation and I'm assuming Olaplex chose this company as their courier service due to overheads only. They have just as many internal issues, theft, neglect, dreadful customer service as they ever had before.

Olaplex itself is a good product, I'll clarify, nothing wrong with it. It works pretty well and smells nice too. If it arrives.

If anyone at Olaplex UK sees this review, please change your courier service or I'd advise everyone, DO NOT BUY DIRECT.
If this costs Olaplex commission charges through other companies etc. if you want it that bad, then good. It should do, Evri shouldn't be allowed to operate.

If and when you change couriers to any other company at all, including royal mail for example, I'll adjust this review.

Until then, I'll sit here dealing with Evri's customer service every few days they respond, and frankly Olaplex's own dismissive customer service. Won't buy direct ever again. Please, anyone reading, do yourself a favour and do the same

I bought the purple blond enhancing conditoner specifically meant for toning blond hair. All it did was dye my white blond hair with giving it a purple tinge despite thorough repeated washing out. Definitely do not buy their purple products if you have blond hair unless you are looking to change to have purple hair. I emailed Olaplex about the concern and they obviously did not read the review as sent me back an generic email about hair loss and brittle hair which was not mentioned in my email to them.

Love olaplex except no.0 ouch itchy allergic reaction but that was when it first came out never used again anyway bought some bits the other day ORDER OLA-2460007 arrived today unfulfilled !!how do I contact I got a immediate reply saying
