this is grown up olive oil. i've been a bertolli whatever is on the shelf at key food kinda olive oil person but i was at a friend's house and she had this out with some bread and we were talking about it and i realized what a difference really good olive oil makes. i'm already on my second bottle, i love it!

I have been buying boutique olive oil from specialty stores for years and thought I knew what good was. OOJ's Siena Tuscan oil is a different stratosphere of quality. It's so good that I use it to finish everything instead of reserving it for special occasions (which also ensures it will stay fresh since I'll use it up faster). Split a liter with a friend. I hadn’t had a great arbequina in years, so when I read the New York Times article, I decided to try Olive Oil Jones. The price seemed fair, and it included shipping, so I placed my order. It arrived soon after, nicely and securely packaged.
The color is a beautiful yellow with chartreuse undertones. It is the tiniest bit cloudy, confirming it has not had all its flavor filtered out. A chef friend and I decided to open it up and give it a taste.
It has a very buttery feel in the mouth, with a bit of forward acidity and herbaceousness, and that slight bit of bitterness and burn at the back of the throat. I think it’s even better than one I had several years ago!
I have used it fresh from the bottle and drizzled it into salads (both savory and fruit), sautéed eggplant, and seared mushrooms. And a zillion other things! It’s a fine olive oil, neutral enough for most uses, with enough character to be noticed.

I Have purchased the Portuguese Olive Oil 3 times over the last 3 months . It is consistently perfect . I have tasted the other Oils but my personal preference is the Unfiltered Portuguese . It is superb . I recommend it wholeheartedly .
