Removed my add when I lowered the price, still waiting for an explanation but moving on with a different platform, terrible business ethics, to think how we all supported OLX over the years,NO MORE! Found out they pulled the add down because I linked it to The Parking, the book smart college crew at OLX doesn't realize when the add on The Parking is clicked it goes to OLX and they just might get new customers! Check out The Parking there are other platforms that allow the link.

Slow, glitchy, terrible support by moderators. Worst app

Very very Slow, glitchy. Add moderating done by monkeys. The whole app is done by monkeys. Very pathetic for 2026....

It doesnt even worth 1 star its the worst website ever.Its a shame its the biggest platform in portugal for sales.No one deserves this bad website.Full of scammers when you announce something they called you to scam you many times.You have to pay to give more than 4-5 announcements like WHY?WEBSITE IS SHITEST WEBSITE EVER WHY TO PAY FOR THIS SHIT

Terrible customer support. Reported an ad that keeps reappearing every month and never responds to any message but OLX deemed it to be legitimate. Probably never even bothered to check. Makes you wonder how many bogus ads pollute this platform.

Optimo servico. Comprei um pack de 25 cartoes vodafone for less than 10€.

So so bad site and people work on it...

This is the only web marketplace in Portugal where actual sales can be made. Having no competition, They really like to abuse their clients.

1. Strict free product limits - They keep restricting the amount of products you can publish. If I could previously have free ads for 10 products, now 5 is the limit, and they will sometimes get silently deactivated.

2. Stupid and useless moderation - All products have to get reviewed by a moderator. Many products have outright fake prices, like 50 euros for a horse. And 90% of the prices do not include VAT, but sometimes YOU get a pesky moderator which chooses that your price is inadequate because it does not include VAT.

3. Bad moderation, part 2 - Whereas previously your listings would get deactivated for your modification, now after one incorrect modification, and for a completely different reason you haven't been even warned about, which existed before, your listings can and will be taken down permanently.

4. Terrible in-app chat - Any "personal information" - like the phone number (or anything it thinks seems like it like the postal code) which is publicly available in the listing will get hidden and the reader has to manually see it. There is almost nothing you can put in the in app chat, only images and even those of limited formats. No .pdf files, no videos... And they say that you should only stick to their platform for communication.

5. No scam protection - Sticking to their communication platform has practically no use since they do not have a payment platform and there is no other customer protection.

6. Constant price hikes - The prices for increasing listing visibility have grown over 5x in the recent years. And they keep sending email ads of 70% discounts which are more expensive than the non-discounted price before...

- And I'm writing this being their loyal (and paying) customer for over 3 years. What has gotten me to writing this is that my listing, which was active for the previous 6 months got removed for the reason of "wrong" price (I didn't include VAT). After modifying it, it got permanently deleted for "wrong category" - If this isn't messing with the customers I don't know what is. If it REALLY was a wrong category, you should have moderated it at the beginning, if not, then I don't know why would they moderate it now, wasting my time...

I paid 22,96 € to get an ad listed on top for 28 days, after 2 days my advertising got deactivated, on their website, the contact form is not working. OLX is just a wreck.

I have a long experience of using OLX to buy and sell. We find all sort of people. Generally people are nice, give information and are reliable. It's not a place to negociate, as Portuguese are not good negociators. People sometimes tend to overprice all sort of items.

People just email you pretending they are interested and suddenly they stop all communication. What a waste of time !!! Is this for real or what ?

My 7 year old Account got banned without any explanation 😂

My theory is that I listed to much in a short time after inactivity. So dont you dare to list a bunch of random stuff before moving if you dont use it regularly.

Was a victim of the OLX 669 scam.

Was selling my son's old crib, was targeted by scammers according to my bank, out of Lithuania.

They posed as someone trying to instantly buy the crib, as a first time user I was obviously an easy target.

They lifted 699 euros out of my account.

This was done via 3 fronts, using OLX's in app chat fetaure, a what's app acount posing as OLX technical support and an SMS message that redirected me to a payment interface with all of the OLX logo's.

Compounding things, I was in the hospital recovering from a perforated colon, which I informed the fraudster as they kept pressuring me, as you can imagine stress for someone in my condition is deadly.

The support team states that it is not within their power to reimburse me of compensate me for the loss I have experienced using their service, and in all honesty the interactions I have had with the support team to put it politely leaves much to be desired.

I will never use their service again and I would reccomend that no one ever does.

Unavailable outside Portugal.

Starts automatically in the background after phone startup.

Constantly requests money and tries to upsell you stuff.

Spams you with multiple unsolicited ads and newsletters.

Constantly removes listings because they're too cheap (?!).

Unreliable search.

Broken e-mail links.

Doesn't allow you to rate sellers who sell you broken items but allows users who bought nothing from you to rate you negatively for refusing to lower the price.

Contact form doesn't work.

Blocks virtually all listings with numbers.

Logs/Signs you out after ~15 minutes (!), requires you re-enter your password and authentication code.

Minutes after posting two ads i started receiving calls from the offer. Mostly mbway and bank transfers scammers. Don't know if i added the email nevertheless didn't receive any. Beware that scammers are always monitoring new ads to reach new users.

Scammed, lost money and item.
They solved the problem by deleting the sellers account and telling me that I should call the cops on him.

Cláudio Porto Olx seller. Do not do business with this individual. By SMS on friday €24.05 agreed to sell with CTT shipping payment on delivery. I agreed I ordered a generator that works and costs around 350 euros and today 26.05.2024 by SMS he asked to pay him €20.84 via MBWAY for CTT transport I told him i will pay CTT on delivery pay 75+20.84= 95.84 as agreed. This individual cause dme unnecessary stress and losses, OLX should ban him.
