Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 222 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people expressed significant dissatisfaction with the service and customer service, often finding it unhelpful and difficult to get clear answers or support. Issues frequently arose with flight cancellations and the subsequent refund process, which many found frustrating and unresponsive. Reviewers also reported negative experiences with staff, citing unhelpful attitudes and a lack of understanding regarding specific situations. While some customers had positive experiences with the booking process and in-flight service, the predominant sentiment points to widespread problems with communication, accountability, and the overall handling of customer inquiries and issues.

Oman Air is a complete joke and an…

Oman Air is a complete joke and an absolute disgrace to the aviation industry. They cancelled my flights due to the situation in the Middle East—which is understandable for safety—but their "service" since then has been nothing short of criminal.

They have effectively stolen my money. It has been 10 days and I have received ZERO refund, ZERO communication, and ZERO support. They are happy to take your cash in seconds, but when they fail to provide the service, they hide behind "high call volumes" and automated excuses.

Do not be fooled by their "luxury" branding. At the first sign of trouble, they will leave you stranded and empty-handed. Their customer support is a black hole where refund requests go to die. Avoid this airline at all costs unless you enjoy giving away your money for free to a company that clearly doesn't care if its passengers are left in the lurch. GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK.

Worked well despite the war

Despite the extremely difficult situation in the Gulf these days, the airport and the flight worked almost perfectly. The crew was very polite. Some work needed with in-flight food and drinks though. for such a long flight (5hr) we should have more options

Exceptional

Huge appreciation for the incredible customer service from Oman Air.

After another airline cancelled a flight which would have left me facing a 30-hour layover in Doha, I contacted Oman Air to see if there was any way to make my journey easier.

Their team didn’t just help once, they changed my flights twice, free of charge, to make sure my journey would be smooth and manageable. Every person I spoke to was patient, kind and genuinely focused on finding the best solution for me.

In an industry where travel disruptions can be stressful and customer service can sometimes feel transactional, Oman Air showed what true hospitality and professionalism looks like.

Because of their help, what could have been a very difficult journey has turned into something straightforward and enjoyable and I’m now really looking forward to flying with them.

Thank you Oman Air for going above and beyond. This is exactly how airlines should treat their passengers. 👏

I honestly have to say that my…

I honestly have to say that my experience with Oman Air has been one of the most frustrating and disappointing travel experiences I have ever had. After more than 20 phone calls to customer service, my situation is still completely unresolved. Despite explaining the issue repeatedly to different agents, being transferred between departments, and spending hours trying to get a clear answer, no one has been able to properly assist me or reroute my flight.

The most frustrating part is that the situation itself is not complicated. My flight requires rerouting due to a complete cancellation/disruption, yet Oman Air has failed to provide a workable solution or clear guidance. Instead, I have been stuck in an endless loop between the airline, the call center, and the booking platform, with each side telling me to contact someone else.

On several occasions I was told that a special request had been submitted, only to later learn that the request was considered unsuccessful or could not be processed by the airline. However, no alternative solution was offered. When I asked for a case ID to follow up properly, it took multiple attempts just to try to obtain basic information needed to discuss the case further.

For a major international airline, this level of customer service is completely unacceptable. When passengers face disruptions, the airline’s responsibility is to provide clear communication and reasonable rerouting options, not leave customers stranded without answers while their departure date approaches. The lack of coordination between departments and the inability of staff to provide consistent information has made an already stressful travel situation far worse.

After more than twenty calls and countless explanations of the same issue, I am still left without a confirmed solution. It should not require this much effort simply to receive assistance with a disrupted flight. At this point, the experience has been extremely disappointing and has completely eroded my confidence in Oman Air’s ability to support its passengers when something goes wrong.

I sincerely hope Oman Air takes situations like this more seriously in the future and improves its customer support processes. No traveler should have to spend hours on the phone, repeating the same story again and again, only to end up with no resolution and no accountability.

I am extremely disappointed with the incompetent service from Oman Air’s phone support. On March 6th, I received three conflicting flight times from three different agents. One agent insisted my flight was departing immediately, forcing me to take a €91 taxi to the airport, only to find out there was no flight scheduled.
To make matters worse, an agent named Raulen then told me "nothing had changed," forcing me to pay for a return trip home, only to receive a reschedule email later. Between taxis and international calling credit, I am out €151. As a student, this is my entire monthly grocery budget.

Very bad service

Very bad service, Missed connecting flight due to Oman Air delay ,No information has been provided. There is no office after 20pm. Very bad. We had to sit at the airport all night, 15 people. I've never had such a dirty trip in my life.

Worst customer service ever.

Worst customer service ever.
First, they cancelled our connecting flight without offering a proper solution. We’d to call them 3 times to change. Then, because the airspace for our alternative route was closed due to the war, we contacted them to arrange an alternative. During the call, we agreed on a specific replacement flight. However, they went ahead and booked us on a completely different flight that we never agreed to.
The lack of communication, transparency, and basic customer care was extremely disappointing.

1 Star – In-flight WiFi Did Not Work and Refund Refused
I purchased two in-flight WiFi sessions on Oman Air flight WY101 from Muscat to London on 4 February 2026. One session cost USD 29 (three-hour package) and the second cost USD 6.
The first session did not work in any meaningful way. The second connected briefly, allowed a couple of WhatsApp messages through, and then stopped working entirely.
Despite this, Oman Air only issued a small partial refund and refused to refund the remainder on the basis that “usage was recorded.” A few megabytes transferring does not mean the service was functional or usable. The product purchased was internet access for a defined period. That service was not delivered properly.
The most disappointing part is not the WiFi failure itself, but the rigid and dismissive handling of the complaint. The response was formulaic and focused purely on technical data usage rather than the actual customer experience.
If you are relying on onboard internet for work or important communication, do not assume it will function — and be aware that refunds appear to be calculated strictly on backend usage metrics, not on whether the service actually worked.
Very poor customer service resolution.

0 Star Airline - Extremely Disappointing Experience

I am deeply disappointed with my recent experience with Oman Air. What should have been a simple ticket booking turned into one of the worst customer service situations I have ever encountered with any airline.
During the booking process, Oman Air’s system charged my card twice — 23,507 DKK and 23,466 DKK — yet no ticket was issued and no confirmation or update was provided. Being charged nearly 47,000 DKK without receiving a booking is completely unacceptable.
What made the situation even worse was the lack of communication. No immediate support, no explanation, and no proactive follow‑up from the airline. For an international carrier, this level of service is shocking.
At the very least, I expected:
- A functioning booking system
- Immediate assistance when duplicate charges occur
- A prompt refund or issuance of the ticket
Instead, I was left with uncertainty, financial inconvenience, and a complete absence of accountability.
I sincerely hope Oman Air takes this matter seriously and improves both their payment systems and customer support. No passenger should ever have to go through this.

Still waiting after 3 months

Still waiting for an acknowledgement of my original complaint made in November 2025 where they ripped me off for over £3000 . Judging by the 81% 1 star reviews on here this airline is running a racket and the staff working there are complicit .
They continue to advertise on X as an airline offering a high standard of service. If you feel strongly enough to leave a review here please also leave your comments on @omanair (X) and hopefully other potential passengers can avoid losing their money to these crooks

Refund nightmare

Refund nightmare! I booked a refundable return flight and had to cancel due to an unexpected cancer diagnosis. What should have been a simple process of getting a refund has been a complete nightmare. Oman air have continually put blockers in the way. They have asked me for proof that I haven’t received the refund whilst giving absolutely no proof that they have sent it. Customer services was patronising and incompetent when I managed to speak to them Avoid at all costs as they do not give two hoots for their customers.

Poor service

On the way out of Heathrow I cannot fault the service but on the way home it all turned bad. Firstly Oman Airlines had overbooked their flight. Secondly, in order to check in you HAD to pay extra (which for a family of 4 was a minimum of £116!). Thirdly they said they would provide transport and accommodation. The transport was initially sent to the wrong terminal. The food we were supposed to be provided was beyond poor and as a vegetarian we got just rice! Then the transport back to the airport came 2hrs earlier than it should have done. We were supposed to get compensation and no real explanation on how to get it other than it will be processed quickly when you return at the reservations desk. On returning to the airport the attitude of the airline clerks leave a lot to be desired. Service without a Smile or nice word. No communication. One word answers/questions. Then only to be told we need to run to the gate as it took so long to process the information and then told we had a year to ask for the compensation and it will take a month for it to come through! Unbelievably bad service and when i questioned anything I was told that it wasn't their fault! Yet their communication was poor. There were no language barriers here so no excuses!

Top notch service

Top notch service. Flights were punctual, with my first flight leaving slightly early and food was great. I wanted to personally leave a review as ive seen quite a few negative reviews circulating around and this made me apprehensive to book with them myself, however I feel people are only led to leave reviews when things go wrong. The staff, pilots and service were all top notch considering this is meant to be a budget option. Entertainment on flight (selection of movies) was great too. Will be flying with them again 1000% For context I flew from London to Bangkok with a stop in Oman

I am beyond frustrated with Oman Air

I am beyond frustrated with Oman Air. They cancelled my flight, causing significant delays and completely disrupting my travel plans.
The customer service has been nothing short of appalling. I have sent multiple emails and reached out through various channels, but I am met with total silence or very little response. It has been 7 months and the issue is still not resolved.
It is completely unacceptable for an airline to leave its passengers stranded and then ignore them entirely. Save yourself the stress and book with an airline that actually values its customers. I am still waiting for a resolution and a formal response. Avoid at all costs!"

Perfect flight Jan/Feb 2026

I flew at the end of January 2026 from Munich to Muscat and Muscat to Bangkok then in the middle of February back from Bangkok through Muscat to Amsterdam. Everything was perfect. Good, free meal, drinks, blanket, pillow. Great entertainment.

It was so good with the airbuses especially the a330 and those a330s were used for short routes also but now you need to go to europe to get the Boeing 787-9 and for short routes they use Boeing 737s and they are baddd like the legroom is not good they should bring back those airbuses again but its too late now since they sold them to qatar airways

No WiFi, medieval food spread

Flight was okay.

But in flight food and WiFi was a joke.

WiFi didn’t work at all and the customer service “according to their data” say I used more than the threshold. How?

It didn’t work to begin with lol.

Food was similar to a meal a medieval peasant would have. Loaf of bread and some beans lol. So not recommended.
