While publishing my first book I received great collaboration and support. I would do it with OmniScriptum again.

Omniscriptum has generally received negative feedback from the scholarly community due to alleged malpractices. However, I do not entirely agree with this view. There are other publishing presses that charge authors nearly €6,000 per monograph (or even up to €10,000), which I consider excessive and predatory. Charging authors such exorbitant amounts is unjustifiable, regardless of whether peer review is conducted or not. It remains excessive.

While Omniscriptum (and their imprint, LAP Lambert Academic Publishing) has faced criticism, my experience has been positive. They provided me the opportunity to publish my book, now in its second edition, and, notably, they do not charge if you wish to make your work open access!

Our primary goal as scholars should be to promote the dissemination of scientific knowledge, and Omniscriptum enables this without financial barriers.

Well, the offers fair contracts and publishes glossy books with relevant covers. However, this publisher never honors its contractual obligations. With my six books doing well on international markets, this publishers has never paid me any royalties. This is a very cruel publisher to humanity.

Predatory practices and right rude customer service. I have requested my publication to be removed multiple times. The company has a suspicious legal structure and it’s clear it does not care about its customers whatsoever.

I'm writing here as a last attempt to be heard by this company. I first requested my contract with them to be terminated on 01/Oct/2020. On 06/Oct/2020, I had confirmation from them that my contract had been terminated and my book would be removed from online portals. Since then, after more than six months, my book is still available on various websites and being sold without my consent! They don't even bother to reply to my emails anymore. Unfortunately, it seems I'll need to take legal action to have my copyrights and our publishing agreement respected, unless someone can finally talk to me here and help???

Rethinking Regulation and Monetary Policies (Part 1)

The publication process was smooth and easily facilitated. Prompt response was provided at all stages and quality of resulting output very impressive.
The publication was also eventually published in several other languages - without the need for referral to original word documents and files – essentially done by the publisher and based on already published PDF. Hence I did not have to worry about looking for previous word documents, sending these files and waiting for responses – additional procedures that might have altered the form and content of the original edition of the publication.

The publication process for this edition was incredibly smooth and even more so, the resulting translation to several other languages. This did not require excessive or undue input and efforts on my part – most of the work already been undertaken by the publisher. The process was also generated by way of reference to the original word document without the need for resubmission on my part – as well as compared to the already published English PDF and original version. This ensured that the original form and content of the original edition was retained.
Whilst translation to several other languages may initially present confusion as regards the nationality of the author, reference to other published works should clarify the issue. In actual fact, the two most fluent languages which I speak – by virtue of association and past experiences are English and German. Hence a German translation is provided below, in respect of this review.

Der Veröffentlichungsprozess für diese Ausgabe verlief unglaublich reibungslos und vor allem die daraus resultierende Übersetzung in mehrere andere Sprachen. Diese erforderte keine übermäßigen oder unangemessenen Eingaben und Anstrengungen von meiner Seite - die meisten Arbeiten wurden bereits vom Verlag ausgeführt. Der Prozess wurde auch unter Bezugnahme auf das ursprüngliche Word-Dokument generiert, ohne dass ich es erneut neue Dokumente einreichen musste - sowie ein Vergleich zu der bereits veröffentlichten englischen PDF- und Originalversion. Dadurch wurde sichergestellt, dass die ursprüngliche Inhälte der Originalausgabe ungeändert blieben.
Während die Übersetzung in mehrere andere Sprachen zunächst Verwirrung hinsichtlich der Nationalität des Autors hervorrufen kann, sollte die Bezugnahme auf andere veröffentlichte Werke das Problem klären. Tatsächlich sind Englisch und Deutsch die beiden fließendsten Sprachen, die ich spreche - aufgrund von Assoziationen und früheren Erfahrungen. Daher wird im Folgenden eine deutsche Übersetzung für diese Überprüfung bereitgestellt.

It is just great that they publish your manuscript as a book totally free of charge and in a very good appearance, it further appears in some bibliotheques' catalogs and so on. But it is not too good that they do not inform you from the very beginning that you'll receive their annoying offers to buy your own book in some 'behind-the-clouds' price. Certainly, you may just ignore these messages. Thus, my overall experience of cooperating with OmniScriptum is just positive and pleasant!
