TC Harrison Omoda Jaecoo Peterborough…

TC Harrison Omoda Jaecoo Peterborough Review

I honestly cannot remember the last time I experienced customer service as exceptional as I received from Alan and Kevin at TC Harrison Omoda Jaecoo Peterborough.
From the moment my husband and I walked through the door, I felt I was dealing with people I could genuinely trust. We initially visited just to have a look, but ended up purchasing a brand-new black Jaecoo 7 Hybrid—and not because we felt pressured in any way. Quite the opposite. The entire sales journey was exciting, informative, and enjoyable.
Alan and Kevin took the time to explain everything in a way that was easy to understand, helping me compare the Jaecoo 7 with other vehicles on the market. The benefits and value this car offers are incredible, and their knowledge and passion for the product really shone through.
I was completely honest with them about my previous experience of owning a Range Rover Velar, which had unfortunately been the most expensive and frustrating car ownership experience of my life, spending nearly two of the last four years in the garage. I told them I never wanted to make that mistake again. The honesty, care, and genuine concern that Alan and Kevin showed throughout the process gave me complete confidence in my decision.
The experience was so positive that I turned to my husband and said, “We don’t need to go anywhere else—this is our new local dealership.”
Collection day was made even more special with a beautiful red bow on the car, and the team went above and beyond to arrange delivery on my birthday, creating a memory I will treasure for years to come.
If you’re considering visiting TC Harrison Omoda Jaecoo Peterborough, my advice is simple: go and see Alan and Kevin. I promise you won’t be disappointed. They have completely restored my faith in buying a car and set a standard of customer service that is second to none.
Thank you for making such a special purchase truly unforgettable. We are loving our new car.

Dangerous interventions (every day)

Don't understand their job. To make a car. Job of the driver is to be responsible for the car and obey the law. The Jaecoo 7 constantly gets involved and erroniously interprets the law / what is safe. The cars interventions are mostly annoying and wrong, sometimes dangerous.

Car. Stop overuling the responsible adult with the license. It's as welcome as a... think of something unwelcome.

Love the warranty, hate the software.

Why do they keep updating privacy and…

Why do they keep updating privacy and requiring acceptance and login
Requiring security code being sent your phone which doesn't arrive
So you can't login and then can't charge the car. It doesn't work if you use email or phone SMS
Is it possible to reject the car as it doesn't meet merchantable quality because if you can't recharge the battery its useless
Stupid
Today carried out exactly the same procedure to get login code and on 3rd attempt it worked
Yesterday tried 30 times and it didn't work

Extremely disappointed with my OMODA 7

Extremely disappointed with my experience so far with my brand-new OMODA 7 purchased through Thames Motor Group.

The car is only weeks old and has already been back to the dealership three separate times for different issues. The first visit was to resolve a SIM activation problem and a Bluetooth call quality issue. The second was after smoke was seen coming from the front grille and the coolant level was found to be very low. Now, on the third visit, the vehicle is being investigated for the same unresolved Bluetooth issue as well as a serious problem where the car pulls to the left at motorway speeds.

The most frustrating part is that the vehicle has now been stuck in the service department for over a week, and neither issue has been resolved. The dealership is still waiting for guidance from OMODA’s technical team regarding the Bluetooth problem, while the wheel alignment/steering issue also remains unresolved.

For a brand-new vehicle, this level of inconvenience is completely unacceptable. I’ve lost significant time attending repeated service visits, arranging transport, and being without my car. While I appreciate the efforts of the dealership staff, who have been polite and helpful throughout, the fact remains that a new car should not have this many faults from the outset.

The Bluetooth issue appears to be affecting multiple OMODA 7 owners across the UK, yet there still seems to be no clear fix. Combined with the coolant concern, smoke from the grille, and steering issues, my confidence in the vehicle has been seriously damaged.

At this stage, I honestly wish I could return the car and purchase something else. I bought a new car expecting reliability and peace of mind, but instead I’ve spent more time dealing with faults and service appointments than enjoying the vehicle.

I sincerely hope OMODA and Thames Motor Group can resolve these issues quickly, but based on my experience so far, I cannot recommend the OMODA 7 at all.

I purchased a new Jaecoo 7 SHS Hybrid…

I purchased a new Jaecoo 7 SHS Hybrid with high expectations and was excited to take delivery of what appeared to be a modern, well-equipped and technologically advanced vehicle. Unfortunately, those expectations were shattered within the first few hours of ownership.

Almost immediately after driving the vehicle away from the dealership, (cars2 Wakefield), I began experiencing a number of concerning issues, including unusual engine noises, excessive smoke from the exhaust, electronic faults and other defects that significantly undermined my confidence in the vehicle. These were not issues that developed after months of use; they arose virtually straight after collection.

Given the nature and extent of the faults, I rejected the vehicle and expected the matter to be investigated and resolved promptly. Instead, I have found myself involved in a lengthy and stressful dispute that remains ongoing and is now the subject of a Financial Ombudsman Service investigation. I also emailed and telephoned Jaecoo HQ in the uk. i never received a response despite numerous emails.

What has disappointed me most is not only the faults themselves, but the experience that followed. As a customer purchasing a brand-new vehicle, I expected a high standard of customer care, transparency and support. Instead, I have spent months chasing information, requesting documentation and attempting to obtain a fair resolution.

Throughout this period, I have continued to make finance payments and maintain insurance cover whilst being unable to enjoy the benefit of the vehicle I purchased. The financial impact, inconvenience and stress have been considerable.

The most frustrating aspect is that these issues arose within hours of collection. When purchasing a new vehicle, customers rightly expect reliability, quality and peace of mind. My experience has been the complete opposite.

Whilst any manufacturer can occasionally produce a vehicle that develops faults, what truly matters is how customers are treated when problems arise. Unfortunately, my experience has left me with little confidence in the level of support available when serious concerns are raised.

I sincerely hope my case is eventually resolved fairly, but based on my experience to date, I cannot recommend the Jaecoo 7 SHS Hybrid or the ownership experience that has followed.

Prospective buyers should ensure they thoroughly research both the vehicle and the after-sales support available before making a purchase.

Never Buy Omoda

I purchased my vehicle brand new. After only one week of use and approximately 1,000 km of driving, cracks spontaneously appeared in the rear taillight on the tailgate. The cracks are located in multiple places and are not related to stone chips or any form of damage. Water has since entered the taillight, causing malfunctions in the lighting and turn signal systems; the lights are no longer functioning properly.

What disappointed me even more was the service. I visited an authorized OMODA service center with a vehicle that had only 1,000 km on it. Instead of receiving assistance, I was told that I had to return to the dealer where I purchased the vehicle. Another authorized service center also referred me elsewhere. Despite this being a clear warranty issue, nobody seemed willing to take responsibility.

When I contacted the importer/head office to file a complaint, I again received conflicting information. There is talk of a European warranty, yet it appears difficult to obtain support even within the Netherlands for a vehicle that is less than two weeks old.

My vehicle has now been unusable for two weeks because of an issue that should be resolved under warranty. Instead of being offered a quick solution, I am continuously being referred from one party to another.

This is entirely my personal experience. I hope OMODA will seriously improve the quality of its service and warranty procedures, because I am extremely disappointed with my experience so far.

I have the Jaecoo 7 SHS

I have the Jaecoo 7 SHS. Just completed a road trip of 2500 miles. Spain to UK and back. The car didn't miss a beat. Smooth and comfortable for us and 2 dogs. Extremely economical on this trip using mainly petrol.

Not a good experience.

Staff were polite but that's where the good customer service ended. Reserved a used car at the Nottingham site but later decided I didn't want to purchase it. It took me five and a half weeks to get my £99 deposit back! Not acceptable! Also, the car wasn't retail ready - why do garages let you look at a car when it's not ready to drive off the forecourt?!

Listen to the customer

It’s difficult to understand why this company does not use its size and finances to sort the problems that customers are experiencing and eradicate all the bad press it receives. I have an Omoda e5 Noble and it’s great other than the audio which is useless (sound is fine but has a mind of its own) and the continuous software updates that make the EU derived squawk and warnings a pain in the a*se.
The app is also comparatively poor compared with other manufacturers.
Great potential, nonsensical policy!

Brand-new Jaecoo 7 PHEV faulty after 3…

Brand-new Jaecoo 7 PHEV faulty after 3 weeks — poor aftersales and no call backs
I collected my brand-new Jaecoo 7 PHEV from Marshall Omoda & Jaecoo Nottingham on 11th May on PCP, and the experience has been extremely disappointing.

The collection itself was delayed and communication was poor. They did give me a free full tank of petrol as an apology, but sadly that has not made up for what has happened since.

After only three weeks, the car has developed several intermittent faults. The screen randomly changes to Chinese when using Apple CarPlay and YouTube Music, the lane departure system randomly displays a failure warning, and I have experienced power issues. The car also does not seem to be charging the battery properly in HEV smart mode, which means I am having to charge it daily. That completely defeats the point of buying a hybrid — if I wanted to charge every day, I would have bought an EV.

I contacted the dealership last Friday and was told I would be called back. Nobody called. I contacted them again today, twice, and was told by a salesman that the manager would call me back. Again, no call back.

They have said they can look at the car in a week’s time, but I would have to be without a car while they do it. For a three-week-old vehicle with warning faults and power-related issues, I find that completely unacceptable.

The only real response I have had so far is “that’s not ok,” but nothing has actually been done. The lack of urgency and poor communication is just not good enough.

Buying a brand-new car should be exciting and stress-free. Instead, this has become stressful, frustrating, and has left me with no confidence in either the vehicle or the dealership.

Based on my experience, I would not recommend Marshall Omoda & Jaecoo Nottingham.

Bradford Jaecoo 👎

I had a very disappointing experience with the Bradford branch.

I went for a test drive around 3 months ago and agreed a deal there and then. Instead of paying a £500 deposit, I paid £5,000 and was told delivery would take around 3 months.

The agreed vehicle price was £32,595. When I later checked the finance agreement after collection, I noticed the amount had increased to £33,100. I raised this by email within 2 days.

I emailed and called Jack several times but received no reply. After chasing, I finally spoke with Ben in the office, who told me the extra £500 was because of a “test drive voucher” that was no longer valid.

My issue is:

1. There was nothing in my original purchase documents mentioning a £500 test drive voucher or any expiry.
2. I completed the test drive and paid the deposit at the time agreed.
3. The delivery delay was not my fault.
4. I had to chase repeatedly just to get an explanation.

Very disappointed with the communication and with the lack of transparency around pricing. I expected a much clearer and more professional service.
