Working great right out of the box!

Shipping was fast! Setup was easy, quick, and intuitive! The machine has been working great right out of the box. I feel like this machine is a steal compared to the more expensive Glowforge machines, which are smaller and less powerful. I'm glad I chose Omtech!

My rating is as of this moment

My rating is as of this moment, where mt two week old machine is down awaiting parts. When I received the machine it looked well built with cleanly installed electronics and wiring. The machine had a failed safety interlock on arrival but the laser alignment was right on. I do not like the free floating grid that does not have a 0,0 alignment edge. Having to have to contact technical support several times has had mixed results. First line support was mediocre resulting in a 24hr wait for next level. Was also directed to a email based support. The next level was much more knowledgeable and helpful. The email based support is useless unless you don't mind that they truly do not read your descriptions and then send your meadorce responses every 24 hours. I guess if you have a month or so you might get somewhere.

What made me purchase OMTech's…

What made me purchase OMTech's MF1220-50-50W CO2 LASER ENGRAVER CUTTING MACHINE is the abundance of users on YouTube, actual users who demo products. I believe anything I need to learn or do has a person who has already done it and explains on YouTube or Forums. Plus they point out the features of product applied to their demo.

Horrible customer service and communication

I ordered the laser on November 16th. I confirmed before ordering that it was in stock and it would ship out. After confirmation I placed my order. I got the rotator in last week and I checked the status of the order and was told the unit would ship out between the 7 - 14 day mark from the order date. I called today and finally was told that the unit sold out and would be 30 days before it could ship. Was told it was because I ordered on Black Friday. Then after correcting customer service I was told I ordered a presale unit. After getting customer service to look again at the order they agreed it was not a presale order. I tried to see what units you have in stock because I was willing to upgrade to a larger unit but no help there either. I am starting to regret this choice of purchase for my laser.

Big dissapointment.

Turns out you have to pay for service after you receive your new machine. Recived the reusable crate with a 4 inche screw with the hex head broke off, so I had to break the crate apart hoping there where no issues and wouldnt need the crate to return it.

Turns out it doesn't work for what I need, their material specs are not even close. I already have a different brand and everything runs fine. I figure I'll get in touch with tech support for some assistance thinking maybe there is an issue with the machine if none of the specs work. Surprise, as a new customer you have to pay for tech support. No thanks, I am taking the additional loss to my business and production schedule and returning the machine. I will take my chances elsewhere.

Bad business decision trying out Omtech.

We truly apologize for the inconvenience. Please note all of our guest who purchase through www.omtechlaser.com received two free VTS appointments which is a 45 minutes zoom meeting. We do provide the promo codes to use at check out. After the first two free meetings you do have to purchase additional virtual tech support appointments. However tech support via phone and email are indeed free. We see the item, arrived with a few screws for the packaging material broken but the item wasn't damaged or defective. We are aware that the promo codes for the VTS meetings were not offered in your email threads until you stated you would like to return due to our VTS meetings being advertise at certain price, that was are mistake. However please note Omtech would have done everything we could to get your unit to work to your liking on a VTS appointment.

So far so good

So far, so good. Shipping was a breeze. I am still testing the machine and I may say that is a good one especially because I combined the Halloween discount with a Honey discount code and got an amazing price.

I am planning to upgrade the Polar 350 with a Ruida external controller.

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED

OMtechlaser just left me hanging. I'm grappling with a major issue with my K40, and they haven't even bothered to email me back. I'm completely let down by your lack of responsiveness. You mentioned you'd give me a call, but I've been waiting for days with no word. This is incredibly frustrating, and my business is taking a hit because of your lack of support.

Terrible Shipping

I'm unable to write a review on this product because I have not received it yet. Its going on a month and I haven't got anything. I'm aware Omtech doesn't have anything to do with shipping of the product, but the company they use to ship is a representative of their company. I'm a small business and this has drastically hurt my company. I'd be happy to change my review once/if I ever get it and use it.
