Onboard promised cashback after a promotional offer was completed, but failed to pay the reward even though all requirements were met. In addition, it charges abusive fees without clear disclosure and provides ineffective customer support that does not resolve customer issues.

Fake promotion, withheld rewards, and lack of transparency

I completed Onboard’s referral promotion exactly as advertised and followed all the rules correctly. My referrals met the requirements, and there was no fraudulent or abusive behavior on my part.

After waiting through the entire stated payout timeframe, I was informed that my rewards were withheld due to alleged “activity inconsistent with the spirit of the promotion.” No specific rule was cited, no evidence was provided, and no clear explanation was given.

This platform is not Brazilian, yet it promotes campaigns globally and then refuses to pay users after they complete all requirements. The terms are vague, and they are used to deny payouts unilaterally, with no appeal or transparency.

Customer support only sends generic responses and closes the case by saying the decision is “final,” which is unacceptable for a financial service.

I strongly advise users to be cautious. Promotions should not be advertised if the company has no intention of honoring them.

I registered and verification has taken over 24 hours. The customer care rep seems not to look at the issue and understand just a generic response to wait for response yet there was an issue at verification and I wanted to start afresh.
