I recently used One Day Tests for a Longevity blood test and a GP consultation. I had my blood taken at the Crawley site, which was easy to find and had plenty of free parking. My blood was taken from Sophie, who is lovely. It was quick and painless and Sophie made me feel very relaxed. The results all came through within about 16 hours and I then booked a GP appointment to go through the results. The GP was called Rhos and he was highly knowledgeable and explained everything to me clearly. My consultation results were then sent to my GP practice, which I gave permission for. The service from One Day tests was amazing from start to finish. Highly recommend and would happily use again in the future.

The service was great! The arrival of the test, the filling the test and the speed of the results were top drawer!

Very disappointing experience with One Day Test during an already stressful IVF process.

Before purchasing their IVF Viral Screen, I specifically contacted customer services to confirm the testing was UKAS accredited because this was a requirement for our IVF clinic. Based on the assurances given, we went ahead and paid for the testing.

The service is advertised as containing the IVF virology blood tests “usually requested by the clinics”, so we reasonably believed the results would be suitable for IVF treatment requirements.

However, our IVF clinic later rejected the results because the virology testing did not meet the required UKAS accreditation standards. We were then forced to urgently repeat the blood tests elsewhere at an additional cost of £552 to avoid delays to our IVF treatment, on top of the £347 already paid to One Day Test.

What was particularly frustrating was the lack of transparency throughout the process. The reports were branded with One Day Test and Sussex Pathology, with no clear indication that the virology testing had actually been outsourced to another laboratory. It took weeks of emails and a formal complaint before this was finally clarified.

Despite the financial loss and stress this caused, One Day Test refused to provide a refund or acknowledge that the tests were not suitable for our clinic’s requirements, even though we had specifically checked the accreditation position with them before purchasing.

IVF treatment is stressful enough without additional confusion, delays, and unexpected costs. I strongly feel clearer information should be provided to patients regarding outsourced testing and accreditation scope before purchase.

Update following the company’s response dated 13/05/26:

My concern was never whether a UKAS-accredited laboratory existed somewhere within the testing pathway. My concern was that, despite specifically checking accreditation with your customer service team before purchase, it was not made clear that the virology testing was outsourced, nor that Sussex Pathology’s UKAS accreditation did not cover virology testing.

The test reports themselves were branded with One Day Test and Sussex Pathology, and our IVF clinic subsequently rejected the results because the virology testing did not meet their required UKAS accreditation standards for IVF treatment.

As a result, we had to urgently repeat the tests elsewhere at an additional cost of £552 to avoid delays to our IVF treatment.

It also took several weeks and a formal complaint before the outsourced testing arrangement was clearly explained to us. Unfortunately, despite the financial loss and stress caused, no refund or resolution was offered.

Good and reliable service

The whole thing was easy and straightforward. I attended the clinic for the blood test and parked with ease. The offices were smart and the phlebotomist I saw was efficient and polite. I received the results within three hours. Great!!

Quick, professional and very efficient service.

Looked online in the morning, booked test for midday, some results received in the afternoon, rest within 2 days. Couldn't ask for any quicker and easier. I have an idea what I'm looking at, but good explanations of results given online as well. Sat Nav took us elsewhere, so I was a little late, but was accommodated, friendly staff.

Professional, very quick results and clearly explained process with GP online appointment to explain results clearly with quick, clear email confirming results. Well worth the cost and efficiency which sadly is invisible and has been for years at local GP practice.

Such a good service. In, out and an email with my results within 24hrs. I've used this service before and the tests aren't always that quick, but definitely not slow either. The phlobotomist who took my blood test was brilliant [and I point this out because I can have 'difficult' veins]. Would recommend One Day Tests.

My husband and I used the walk in option for some blood tests first thing one morning during a holiday in Surrey and we were really hard pressed for time. The process couldn’t have been handled better! Our phlebotomist Sophie went out of her way to fit us in without inconveniencing her other clients. Absolutely amazing service! We got our results that evening.
