Furniture dumped, attempted extortion for money..
I contacted this company via a referral. I arranged removal of furniture and other items along with agreed storage (50 sq ft) for two months. I sent a video in advance to Marcio so he understood what was meant to be stored. The price (£450 cash) was agreed along with the date of pick up. I was contacted a few days below when he informed me that he had to rebook citing van problems. It was rearranged for the next day. I messaged him on the day to remind him that I would need help to disassemble 2 x beds. Upon arrival him and 1 x other person started moving items onto his can and he started saying that the items may take up more storage than expected. He then changed his mind and said that it should be okay. He then said that everything could not fit on his van today and suggested getting another mover to assist. He made some calls and I was quoted £130. The movers arrived and were unaware they had to dismantle the 2 x beds. I called Marcio and he made out that he was unaware beds were to be placed in storage even though I took his colleague to the two rooms and said the 2 x beds are the remaining items upstairs along with the remainder of items downstairs. He started arguing and denying, talking over me. I told him he needed to sort it out. I received a call back from the second movers manager (Boom Removals) asking for £230 to disassemble the beds and move the remaining items. I messaged back explaining this was too expensive and asked to cancel the removal. I was going to make alternative arrangements.
Shortly after I received a call from the property owner saying Marcio came back and brought all of my items back and proceeded to dump the items haphazardly and not where he found them. He returned the money. He placed some furniture outside the house but refused to bring it back inside. He has caused a major inconvenience to the property owner, my planned move, and was very unprofessional in his behaviour.

We are a reputable business that has proudly traded for nearly 18 years, built entirely on word-of-mouth recommendations and repeat custom. In this instance, our services were requested through a referral from a previous satisfied client — your brother-in-law — who personally contacted us to assist with the collection and storage of your belongings.
However, upon our arrival, it became immediately clear that the volume of items present significantly exceeded what was initially communicated. Despite receiving a video in advance, the actual goods on-site were far more extensive — in fact, notably more than your brother-in-law’s during his own previous move.
We always reserve the right to reassess any job if the circumstances materially differ from the original agreement. Our team did their best to accommodate the situation, even reaching out to trusted third-party movers to help. Unfortunately, when further complications arose regarding dismantling furniture — which had not been clearly confirmed beforehand — it became evident that continuing would only lead to greater confusion and potential liability.
In light of this, we took the decision to return your items to the property promptly and issued a full refund on the same day. Our team did not intend to cause inconvenience, and we regret if the outcome created any stress for you or the property owner. However, we stand by our decision, made in good faith and in the interest of protecting all parties involved.

Only had an hour to get out a huge amount of furniture on the 6th floor and did it in 50 minutes. Very efficient. Would recommend
