I just wanted to change my wife's DOB on my car insurance...

I just wanted to amend my wife's date of birth on my car insurance policy as it was incorrect. I was told I couldn't do this simple thing online and I must phone up. Whilst waiting for someone to answer I was told repeatedly "Do you know you can make changes to your policy on our website?" Do you really think I would be phoning up unless it was a last resort? I eventually got through to Mr No Character and was blandly told that I had to upload my wife's driving licence on the portal. This took some time finding out how to do it. As ever the FAQs were beyond useless so I Googled it and got an AI response how to do it. Maybe it is for the better that you are exiting the car insurance business if this is the standard of service. 40 minutes of my precious time on earth to do something that should take a moment.

Don’t trust sainsbury bank home…

Don’t trust sainsbury bank home insurance - they are rude, tell lies and don’t support you
I toon out home insurance in March all fine.
I then purchased a high value watch 3 months later brand new, I rang them to add to the insurance and they said they would not cover and cancelled my policy with immediate effect
The sainsbury representative was rude, belittling and offered no reasoning or listened to me.
Never again would I use Sainsbury bank home insurance.
They quoted clause to the insurance policy which had no relevance to my request- stay away

Do not take out home insurance with Sainsburys…

Took out home insurance with Sainsburys
Worse company I’ve ever dealt with
Took several attempts to get my details correct and over 7 months to receive bonus nectar points
Over 21 calls made to customer services and over 21 promises of a call back broken
Just don’t go there for any insurance as I hate to think how long it would take to put in a claim
There customer service complaint dept are not allowed to speak to customers
That sort of sums them up
Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere

Card has never worked even though it…

Card has never worked even though it showed Active on the app. Couldn't activate it when abroad even after being put through to person to person then to the automated phone line. Rang to cancel, tried to charge me £6 cashout fee which after pushing, turns out was incorrect. Some of the worst customer service I have received with Jovelyn hanging up on me TWICE and she was the supervisor.

Travel card

Bought a money travel card for a trip to Prague. I activated the card the day before my trip. The card didn't work the entire weekend. (There's only 1 MasterCard ATM in the whole of Prague. They don't tell you that before you buy.) I rang on Sunday from the middle of Prague to be told I hadn't activated it, I had and that the card should work now. Of course it didn't. I then had no money in Prague for 48 hours. (Lucky I took some cash aswell.) I sent a letter to Sainsbury's bank that cost £8.95 on top of phone calls and emails when I got home to absolutely no help whatsoever from a Rafael Florida. (Definitely his real name.) Don't buy this no matter what. People had a Monzo card/app that seemed to work brilliantly. As I still haven't been able to get MY money back after 2 weeks, I will now be doing a small claims against Sainsbury's bank as I don't really like their attitude when it's them who sells a crap (borderline scam product.)

Very annoyed

Very annoyed - House insurance renewal almost doubled and after speaking to a reluctant call centre operator telling me 'that's just what the underwriter came back with', (I've NEVER had a claim) - I just moved (hassle free) to HOME PROTECT - it was easy to use and matched my previous years price.
Today however, Sainsbury's sent me an email saying they will FREEZE the price for last year and can renew now. What?
NO - if this is how you treat customers to try and 'fleece them' - I dread to think how you will do in a claim. So I politely decline.
Sainsbury's Bank - get your act together - people DO read TrustPilot and other sites so you will simple lose custom unless you treat customers fairly.

Travel Bureau Shut

Did a 25 mile round trip to Eastbourne Sainsbury's to pick up foreign currency only to find the Travel Bureau was shut because the operator was on their break and I would have to wait half an hour for it to re-open ... time I did not have! Sainsbury's would not treat their foodstore customers like this, so why is it acceptable for Travel Bureau customers? I checked the Bureau opening hours before leaving and it was 10:00-18:00. If operators take regular lengthly breaks why not put this on the website so customers can plan to turn up at appropriate times? Appalling way to treat customers.

APPALLING CUSTOMER SERVICES-RIP OFF

I bought a contents insurance and changed address; the change of address was for free for my aviva car insurance but not for my sainsibury CONTENTS insurance, I moved addresses, I did not change any of my contents insured. They made me pay an extra premium for the change of address and they only changed my address under 'personal details' not the address of the property where my contents were insured; they wanted another premium for this which they raised after a couple of days as well. I tried to speak to a manager (Cornelius) who did not try to help at all. AVOID AVOID AVOID -AS PER THE OTHER REVIEWS, APPALLING CUSTOMER SERVICES

DO NOT USE Sainsbury's Bank Insurance

Do not use this company at whatever they're quote comes back as. Totally useless when you need to make a claim, took two goes to register claim to start with, then 12 weeks on they are still in the process of approving the costs. Have made official complaint but like everything else with them it's still in process.

If I could give them no stars I would.

If I could give them no stars I would.

The online banking website is worse than dreadful. I've been trying to request an early settlement figure and the whole experience was like a logical cul de sac. Links that take you round in circles, if they work at all.

Clearly since they have decided to close no one is bothering themselves to look after the website.

No option to update expired card online

I was just going to let the home insurance policy auto renew for ease but the card I had saved expired, as they do after a few years, and there was no option to update the card details online. Tried to phone to update payment details but I couldn't get through. Was easier to just take out a cheaper policy with someone else.

Sainsbury's bank lost a customer due to their out of date systems.

Sainsbury's Bank????

Over 35 minutes to get through on the phone

Tried to close my account online, but the software does not work. It kept telling me my Payee name had to be between 2 and 18 characters long. My name is 13 characters long, 14 if the include the space between first and surname

Currently on hold again to talk to a supervisor, 10 minutes in so far

If you want a bank, choose a proper one, and not a supermarket pretending to be a bank

Interest rates are poor, and when they reduce them, they stay reduced, they do not increase them once rates start to go up. I could open a new account, the same as the account I had, and get nearly 5 times the interest. Seems pretty dishonest to me, but Sainsbury's bank disagree. They would, wouldn't they

Sainsburys home insurance - Terrible service

Sainsburys home insurance
Extremely poor customer service. There is no email to contact the company and calling is a nightmare!

I received a letter that my policy was cancelled on 25th March 2022 but the policy was cancelled in July 2021 when I moved and took out another policy with the same company.

confused about the letter, I logged in to see if I could send a message for clarification but it was pointless as no service for that existed. I called and waited for an hour and a minute and still noone responded!
