Steve tutored our daughter for the last three months of her A 2 chemistry year.
We have employed several A level chemistry tutors over the years for our older children and Steve was by far the best we have had. Our daughter found him very kind and patient with an ability to explain difficult concepts clearly and patiently.
We have no hesitation at all in recommending Steve.

Steve has been tutoring my son for the 12 months and has been absolutely brilliant. During the first Lockdown my son was struggling to understand some aspects of chemistry but has come on in leaps and bounds with Steve. His lessons are well structured with Powerpoint presentations and he runs through exam questions too. My son has been predicted an A grade and feels that his exams have gone well. Thank you Steve.

Steve is one of the most incredible tutors I have ever worked with! His patience, his kindness and his ability to make any difficult subject content understandable and fun are the reasons why I grew to love A level chemistry. There was once a time when all my teachers in school used to tell me to forget applying to medicine because I may not even pass A level chemistry and for medicine, I have to achieve grade As but I kept getting grade Us to Ds no matter how hard I tried. Now, I hold an offer at King's University to study medicine due to my good grades, chemistry being my strongest subject. Working with Steve made me feel so confident in class. His resources are very effective and I stuck to them religiously! I can honestly say, without Steve, I could never have achieved my goals in A level chemistry.

We hired Steve to offset lost schooling during the first lockdown and we have continued since. Our son improved dramatically and earned an excellent grade at the end. We highly recommend Steve as a tutor; he is attentive, patient and highly knowledgeable.

Steve has been an enormous help to my son. He is reliable, friendly and approachable. Steve is an amazing tutor, he has been kind and supportive whilst challenging me academically and pushing me to do my best. I had to do the Autumn exams and I was really stressed due to the short timespan but Steve managed to help me and explain challenging topics in a way I could easily understand. Do not worry that online tutoring is less effective than face to face. With Steve it is equally effective.

Not only is Steve an excellent tutor he is also patient and a great motivator always encouraging you to do your best. In fact my daughter describes him as a legend!

Steve is a brilliant tutor, and has helped me so much with my Chemistry. He makes you feel comfortable, no question is ever silly and it never matters if you don't know the answer or have forgotten something, he's kind and understanding. He will also send all the resources we have used and annotated during the lesson, as well as anything else he thinks may be helpful to me, which is so useful when reviewing topics. I started off my lessons face to face with Steve, but due to the current circumstances the lessons were moved to an online video chat. To anyone who's worried about how this might work, don't be. You get so much out of both types of lessons. I could not recommend Steve enough, he's helped me to improve my grade and gain confidence in chemistry. If you're struggling with Chemistry and need someone who is kind, understanding and a good explainer, I could't think of anyone better than Steve!

Fantastic tutor with extensive knowledge around the subject. He was a pivotal factor in me receiving the grades I wanted to allow universities to send me offers. I would definitely recommend Steve to anyone who is thinking of a getting a chemistry tutor.

Worked with many tutors in my life time but can confidently say I never witnessed such amazing results the way I did with Mr Smith (Steve). Before I started working with Steve I used to get Es and Ds, sometimes even Us, however after starting lessons with Steve my grades improved massively to a grade B in my recent Alevel chemistry mock and now I’m working towards a grade A! Couldn’t express how grateful I am for all the amazing lessons and time Steve invested in me.

Steve is such an amazing tutor and makes such complex ideas so simple and easy to understand.
