Not the company it used to be

Very high rates for shipping a pair of shoes from US to Italy. Least expensive they would have charged me 112$ for FedEx Priority. THAT'S INSANE.
I've used OPAS in the past and was never asked such prices. They've literally gone mad.
Parcel was also delcared for 2.4lbs, I didn't understand why the increased to 3lbs. Has it got any weight during transport? That's ridiculous.
I was also unsatisfied with the service as it took them 3 days to get an estimate after my reminder and they didn't offer me an option to lower the cost shipping. They just ignore it the fact I was shipping a pair of shoes.
Luckily I was able to return the item back to seller with a prepaid label.
But be aware this company is not the one it used to be.

Terrible service from Simon

Terrible service from Simon. Very obstructive and unhelpful. Guaranteed he would send same day then 3 days later he let us know he wouldn’t be sending at all until we sent a sample. Not interested in his customers problems or prepared to assist in overcoming them. Hopefully we will be able to find a new supplier willing to work alongside us pleasantly.

What a team!

We’ve been with OPAS for years and there are a number of reasons why we’re still using this brilliant service weekly. The entire team at OPAS are impeccably reliable. They’re highly responsive, always replying within a few hours of any messages (even when we say there’s no rush). This company is dedicated to providing a solid, consistent, customer-orientated service to the point they’ve gone above and beyond for us on countless occasions. I can’t recommend OPAS highly enough.

if you want fast, easy, or inexpensive - look elsewhere

I tested several different service providers for personal shopping and mail forwarding. Two of them were total fails, OPAS is mediocre at best. Compared to my personal favorite OPAS is too slow and too expensive.
Also their website is poorly designed, doesn't support intuitive workflow.

Not Trustworthy

The high shipping costs are not the issue with this company. A range of shipping methods and costs is provided and you can choose which best suits your needs. Despite the high shipping costs of this company, we would not mind paying a little extra to ensure that what we ordered was actually received. Opas has a propensity to open boxes, when not requested to do so, remove the contents and repackage them (ostensibly to save you money) so that the original packaging is removed. When small, high value items are then found to be missing, all responsibility is denied putting the customer in dispute with the seller. We have no issue with Opas opening the boxes to check the contents. However, there is no reason why, once checked, that the contents cannot be returned to their original packaging, which is then resealed and sent to the customer. In this case, two expensive leather iPhone cases went missing. Perhaps pilfering is the issue that needs to be addressed. Very disappointed.

We appreciate the comment that high shipping costs are not a problem. We're sorry that there was not awareness that it is always a shipper's obligation to visually make sure that all products inside a package or shipment match exactly with what the commercial invoice says they are. Since we are responsible in the event something is shipped that shouldn't be shipped, all packages must be opened and contents identified, both at OPAS and at all other package forwarders. At OPAS, all contents are displayed in our system so that customer can view and if needed, ask for more info or photos. The customer then has the opportunity to identify discrepancies between what they expect and what is shown as the package contents, and they can do this from the point we register the items to their account until the item is being prepared for shipping. Unless the customer requests otherwise, the contents that are registered are always the same contents that are shipped. For this specific complaint, if more information can be provided, we would be happy to address it more specifically.

Ridiculously high shipping costs

Ridiculously high shipping costs! OPAS grossly over estimate weight of items and charge you accordingly. Shipping was 3 times the price of their competitors. They refused to consolidate my package and re-weigh. In the end I had to ask them to dispose my items that I’d already paid for. Disappointed to say the least :(

Carrier charges for shipping a package will always be based on rounded up numbers, so we have no choice but to follow that rule since we won't know until time of shipping if a package will be sent by itself or consolidated, we show rounded up weights in our system. 1.1 lb is going to be 2 lb, for example. Additionally, we don't remove any packing materials or change packaging until time of shipping, so again, the whole package weight could easily show as higher than just the product itself. At the time of shipping, the box and the packing materials used are always selected based on the ethic that we make the package as small or as light as possible, thereby reducing the cost to the customer. Package consolidation and special packing are always followed as the customer requests. Especially with consolidation, there's no benefit to OPAS for NOT consolidating when the customer requests this. In this specific case, weights were taken multiple times but for some reason we were unable to convincingly convey the fact that we had no control over the shipment weight since a box and packing materials always add to the weight, beyond the total of the products themselves. We had zero reason to keep the weight higher as this causes not just a loss of customer, but also the markup is the same for a lower weight or a higher weight, so we stand to gain nothing. Depending on the carrier chosen and the level of carrier service chosen, our shipping prices can greatly differ from other forwarder options. We do attempt to provide the most economical service to all of our customers but we do not try to compete in price (for the services we provide) with certain very low-cost no-frills forwarders. We provide service well beyond what most package forwarding companies provide, in terms of not just customer service, but also in flexibility of services provided and the integrity of the information we provide to all of our customers.

Very Bad Experience!

Very Bad Experience!!

This company is not trustworthy at all. I had 3 packages shipped there earlier this year, the total weight of all 3 combined was less than 10 pounds.

After requesting a shipping cost (going to canada) I was quoted $180.00! This didnt seem correct so went ahead an got a shipping quote from UPS directly which quoted me $75.00 for the exact same shippment.

That being said OPAS wanted to charge me $105.00 over the going rate just to ship receive and ship 3 packages for me.

Little to say I will never be using their services again, what a scam!

We provide service well beyond what most package forwarding companies provide, in terms of not just customer service, but also in flexibility of services provided and the integrity of the information we provide to all of our customers. A scam happens when a customer has no way to know of a cost, or action until its too late. With OPAS, we try our best to educate our customers about our prices, our procedures and anything else about how we do business. All information, including pricing, is posted on our website and we offer phone calls (we answer all calls), email, and social media avenues for people to contact and inquire about any issue including price. We do this because once a customer sends something to us, we have little recourse but to either ship at our normal price, or return to sender via someone's free label or at the cost of the customer. We really do our best to prevent these scenarios, but if a customer doesn't wish to look at our website or contact us via the many channels available, there isn't much we can do.
