Unreliable and Slow: Project Stalled After Over a Month
We entered into an agreement with Opedia Technologies on November 1, 2024, for UI/UX design services for our company, Vacatina. The project was quoted to be completed within 20 business days. However, after nearly 30 days, we still await meaningful progress and updates, and our experience has been far from satisfactory.
Project Delays & Lack of Progress
Timeline: The entire project was supposed to be completed within 20 business days. However, the work is far behind schedule with very little progress made. After more than a month, the Figma file is still only 2% complete and hasn’t been updated in over 12 days.
Figma File: We were expecting regular updates on the design, but the last edit to the Figma file was made more than a week ago, which is unacceptable given the timeline we agreed upon.
Communication Issues & Unmet Promises
Reassurances: On November 22, we were reassured via WhatsApp that the project would be completed "this weekend" without fail. However, no progress has been made, and there has been no follow-up on the promised timeline.
Lack of Updates: Despite our repeated inquiries, there has been little to no communication regarding the reasons for the delay or when we can expect tangible progress. The lack of transparency is disappointing, especially when we’ve made timely payments and have been patient throughout.
Conclusion & Recommendation
At this point, we cannot recommend Opedia Technologies for UI/UX design work. The lack of progress, failure to meet deadlines, and poor communication have been extremely frustrating. We hope that Opedia Technologies can improve their project management and communication practices to avoid similar situations for other clients in the future. For now, this has been an unfortunate experience that has caused us to reconsider working with them on future projects.
