PRetending to be who they aren't

IIt's annoying to search for SORA on Google and click on that lin k that really sounded like sora but wasn't, then susbscribed by mistake and it is globbaly more expensive than getting any of the tool with less features, example , you can't create videos with personalities on soea like you can see on reddit
The good thing is to be able to use the (expensive ) credits on multiple AI tools and compare them.

OpenArt is really easy to use and just works. You can try lots of styles, get great-looking results quickly, and it actually feels fun to experiment. It’s a solid go-to if you’re into AI art or just curious to try it out.

⚠️ Important notice to users:

⚠️ Important notice to users:
If you cancel this subscription before the end of a paid billing period, any remaining credits may be removed immediately — even though they were already paid for.
I’m leaving this review to document a serious issue with how subscription credits are handled.

On 11 December 2025, I purchased and activated the Wander subscription, which included 45,000 credits. This subscription was paid in full and valid until 9 January 2026.

Before the end of the paid period, my account suddenly showed zero usable credits, despite no usage issues and the subscription period not having ended.

When I contacted support, I was informed that:

The subscription had been marked as cancelled on 3 January 2026

As a result, all remaining credits were removed immediately

Their policy states that subscription-based credits are only usable while the subscription is active, even if the paid period has not ended

In other words, cancelling a subscription appears to retroactively void prepaid value, rather than simply stopping future renewals. The credits were not refunded, restored, or allowed to remain usable until the original expiry date.

This approach is highly problematic:

The subscription was already paid for

The billing period had not ended

Credits were removed mid-cycle

I requested either restoration of the remaining credits until the original expiry date or a refund for the unused portion. At the time of writing, the issue remains unresolved.

I am sharing this so other users are fully aware of how prepaid subscription credits may be handled in practice, particularly if a subscription is cancelled before the end of the billing period.

Uses up credits fast - unusable results

After a little research I bought an annual subscription to this platform mainly for cinematography. I was pretty excited to try it out. 2 months later I realized that most of your credits get used up trying to get something even just remotely usable. Results are all over the place no matter which model you use. My wife wanted her headshot updated for work so we tried to use almost every model on the platform to copy her face and put her in a professional setting… 1000s of credits and hours later - nothing even remotely close to her appearance. My wife opted for a $50 site that did the trick in 10 minutes.

I emailed to explain my issues. Surprise surprise - complete AI responses. Would only offer to top up my credits with 3-4 days left on that month. Also - credits don’t carry over month to month. The company still hasn’t emailed me back.

Rip off.

I was quite impressed with the first…

I was quite impressed with the first results, Openart came up with, until the songtext appeared. Full of errors that are none-editable. I didn't even ask for them and I can't turn them off for the next video. That really sucks. Now I have to find a way to cover those false lyrics that make no sense.

Perfect for storytelling and amazing support! 🎬

I had almost zero experience creating videos, but OpenArt gave me the flexibility to create an amazing story with great atmosphere in just one day 🤯. The tool is super powerful for both images and video, and even if you find small inconsistencies in characters, they are easy to fix in a couple of attempts 🛠️.

What I value most is their honesty; as a creator, I know tech can have "glitches", but when I had a transfer issue, they took ownership immediately and refunded my credits 🛡️. It is rare to find a platform that supports your creative process so well and solves issues without questions asked 🤝. 5 stars is too few for this level of service ⭐.

Don’t waste your money on OpenAI

Don’t waste your money on OpenAI. You’re better off paying for Grok, Gemini, or something else. They take your credits, and you have to wait every month for them to reset. When you generate videos, most of the results are bad. Editing costs even more credits.
In my music videos, random subtitles always appear and make no sense. This happens repeatedly, not just once. They show up multiple times and ruin the entire video, forcing me to edit and spend even more credits.
I understand that AI makes mistakes, but this honestly feels like it’s done on purpose.

They are transparent

They are transparent. I have subscribed to the annual plan by mistake; I wanted to select the monthly plan instead. I e-mailed them, and then they refunded my subscription fees of 11 months immediately. ٍٍa special thanks to customer service agent (Ivan) for his prompt actions and polite attitude.

Thank you OpenArt team.

The tool works very well and meets most of my needs. The support is excellent with quick responses. I notice the improvements because I use the product daily. Some of the models are fantastic when creating images. And there is so much more I haven't even used yet—good job by this company.

Having worked with software

Having worked with software, and currently involved with AI implementations, OpenArt is a pretty sophisticated platform. Once they get some kinks out, it will be a top AI platform. I rated them a 5, because, it has the right bones and more importantly, they came through for me when I was having difficulty. No hiding stuff, upfront. I appreciate that and give credit for that. Watchout! They will be a top platform.

Unethical credit usage policy

This part of their credit deduction policy is utterly, shamefully unethical. Their FAQ states - For example, if you’re on the Infinite plan with 24,000 monthly credits and purchase 15 add-ons (75,000 extra credits), you’ll have a total of 99,000 credits this month. If you use 10,000 credits, you’ll have 89,000 left. At the start of next month, your 24,000 base credits will reset, and the unused 65,000 add-on credits will roll over — giving you a total of 89,000 credits again.
This childish explanation of '89000' again might work on toddlers. Why wouldn't the 10000 credits be used from the 24000 subscription credits I already had and leave the add on credits (separately purchased) to roll over? Why would you use the 10K from the add ons rather than the subscription? This reeks of cold, unethical, manipulative price gouging and smokescreen. Until they calrify this, I wouldn't consider this platform for any kind of creative work.

Very Good Service Response!!!

OpenArt is an amazing platform with a truly friendly and helpful support team. Whenever something doesn’t work as expected with the AI, they always help quickly and provide credits without any hassle. You really feel that they care about their users and want you to succeed.

Special thanks to IVAN — extremely professional, kind, and responsive. His support made my experience with OpenArt even better. Highly recommended!

No refund despite charges after cancellation

I canceled my OpenArt subscription in October, but I was charged again in November and December. I have proof that I canceled (an email from OpenArt in October asking me to resubscribe after I canceled. I have sent multiple emails to their support service, and they refuse to refund me for charges after I canceled even though I provided proof of my cancellation. I have never had such a bad experience as a customer. It really amounts to fraudulent billing. It is a shame because I was planning to use them again in the future when I had a creative project to do that required AI image or video.
