Initial set up of plan

I cannot comment on overall service as I have only just taken out the cover. It was nice to actually speak with customer serve and all my questions were answered. Easy to set up and competitive price.

I had no hot water for over a week the…

I had no hot water for over a week the engineer wasn’t good at responding to my calls/texts, he eventually did the job satisfactorily but customer service/communication wasn’t great and over a week for an emergency job…thankfully we were in the middle of a hot spell and cold showers were just bearable

BOILER SERVICE Very happy with the engineer who came…

Very happy with the engineer who came to service boiler, he sorted out all the wrong doings I had done which had messed it up a bit.
He was very polite, tidy and efficient.
Would recommend your company anyone who wanted boiler coverage

The engineer was a lovely guy

The engineer who came to service my boiler as part of my service plan was very polite and prompt. He showed me his identification before he came in and completed the service and left it clean and tidy. He messaged me earlier the previous month to book me in and then up until he arrived to check it was still convenient for me.

Feels like a scam

Never works, every engagement feels like it's a scam, they never actually do anything. I have mentioned this to customer services and they also do zip.

And their response here is just typical. Boilerplate .... Spend more time to contact them? Silly

Open fix were very efficient.

Open fix were very efficient. I got an engineer within 24 hours of phoning. The engineer was very good and he did a great job of fixing the problem.

So far so good…

Just taken out a boiler cover policy with OpenFix and the process was quick and straightforward. The pricing was very competitive compared to other providers and setting everything up was simple with clear information throughout. Happy with the experience so far and hopefully the service continues to be just as good going forward.

boiler servi ce was never completed due…

boiler servi ce was never completed due to leek in pipes according to engineer who left after turning of mains supply. contacted another engineer who found leek came from gas hob and changed the fibre washer.
trying to cancle plan they wanted to charge me for price of service . do not use this company

Having reviewed the engineer’s job sheet, the boiler service was not completed because a gas leak was identified during the safety checks. The attending engineer advised at the time that the issue appeared to be related to the gas hob installation, and the gas supply was isolated with the customer’s permission for safety reasons.

The notes recorded on the job sheet state that the gas installation failed the required tightness test and that remedial works would be required before the boiler service could continue.

We understand another engineer later attended and replaced a fibre washer at the hob to resolve the leak. In situations where a gas leak is identified, engineers are required to follow gas safety procedures and make the installation safe before any boiler service can proceed.

We do appreciate the frustration caused and agree the job should have been followed up more effectively once the issue was identified.
