It's slower than Chrome
It's slower than Chrome. It uses a lot of RAM. Adblocker rarely works. VPN is very unstable. Ive been using GX for about 6 months now and i just tried Chrome for the first time in months and it's so much better.
Adblockers hardcoded into the browser…
Adblockers hardcoded into the browser which makes people unable to watch youtube videos sometimes. Terrible move. otherwise fine. Better than that crappy edge browser that microsoft tries forcing on you
Opera GX is better than microsoft edge
This is genuinely one of the best browsers I've ever used, previously I used Microsoft Edge but it was lagging really much, just one tab of Youtube would actively take up 20-30% of my cpu and don't get me started on the ram.
I have a fairly modern pc, an I3 12100f, 16 gb of ram the works yk, but edge was too much for me to handle. Then i downloaded opera and thanks to its cpu and ram limiting i will never experience those issues again, it also doesnt have as much bloatware and is MUCH more customizable.
The reason i give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because to be frank its a little difficult to get used to, it's different from other browsers, in some good ways some bad.
good but a lot of bugs
There are many downsides to this. including: opera breaks and goes to the last page whenever the mouse is clicked causing to lose progress from resetting, tabs glitch out and go everywhere on the homepage. but it's still exceptionally great if you ignore all the bugs, I have switched though due to the bugs but it is a great browser.
Screaming man on splash screen
When you open the app, they will sometimes change the splash screen to a video clip of a screaming man, so that you'll get a jump scare. And there is no way to disable it.
Amazing browser!
Amazing browser! Recommended.
I use this for a very long time, and I still recommend it to my friends, and all my friends downloaded it. Very recommended, much safety, and highly customizable.
I used it for two days
I used it for two days : some websites'buttons do not respond and the VPN doesn't work. I don't like the sound effects for when I type or click anywhere on the websites.
This Browser is really good at first
This Browser is really good at first, i was using it for over a year now, but over time your computer will start to slow down(my possessor would be 30% in use by Opera 1 tab alone, memory 20%+) even booting the program would take at least 10 seconds, navigating to a page starts to get slower and slower. up to the point where i with (1 gb up 500 mb down.) would have to wait on a youtube video to. even trying to load a page like outlook/youtube would boot me back to the main screen and i had to re navigate to the web page for about 3 times before operaGX would send me there.
there are so many "hidden" option you have to manage yourself.
it even comes with its own little Trash VPN/ad blocker/firewall that i'm highly convinced are just pictures without use. the ad blocker does nothing still shows all the ads.
the firewall got me even hacked out of 5 of my accounts. for different kind of games, even my outlook accounts got hacked.
i didn't even wanna try out their own VPN, with this Unsafe environment.
even while fiddling around like i said for over a year now with the browser.
no problems would go away for me. my computer ended up even going slower than a windows XP computer on his last legs. i uninstalled OperaGx and every problem i had with my PC went away.
Just use something else than this one. there are plenty out there, and being a "gaming" browser is the biggest load of trash. you know what makes it a gaming browser. it shows you upcoming games and game news when you start the program.
OperaGX is the E-Girl version of a gamer. trying to plug in a N64 controller in a Ps5 and calling it self a "gamer" all while yelling uWu..
Opera GX joining in to bully a 10 year-old over an emoji.
I thought of using Opera. But, that is until I saw their tweet wanting to bully Teddy over an emoji.
Teddy, I'm trying to say this in the nicest way possible. Ignoring the emoji that you hate would have been a better option. Also, if people start using the nerd or clown emoji towards you, then you should block them because they're trying to get a rise out of you. I had to learn that the hard way.
As for you, Opera, and Andrew Tate. Seeing a big browser gaming company joining in, and bullying a kid while you're in your 30s or older is stupid. It makes you more of a scum. Shame on you.
My question to Opera GX is just...
My question to Opera GX is just.... Why????
Everything about Opera GX is fairly standard, just Google Chrome with a new skin. A skin which allows for a "tool bar," that offers whatsapp and some other popular social media quick links.
Opera GX caught my attention when advertising lower memory and CPU usage, following 2 years of consistent use I can say confidently, Google Chrome, Brave and other competitors are if not better, the exact same as Opera GX. Making their 'unique' selling point effectively useless.
Back to the beginning just why did you pull that stunt with Eric Andre? I can see how you may think that it was funny or a one time thing. But in reality you just made someone SCREAM for no exact reason when opening your browser...again why?
There are a number of different things you could have done to promote yourself! But rather you decide to add a (I don't what to call it) to the ONLY clean and smooth thing about your browser which is the Loading animation....
For that reason I have stopped using Opera GX and have switched over to the far more presentable and professional Brave browser, which also has an adblock that works! Not going to add much on there but popular platforms don't allow you to access them due to Opera's ad block being detected. This has been ongoing since mid October, I don't know if they've fixed it or not, but it is no longer my concern.
Amazing browser
I am pleased with my experience of this browser. Customization options seem endless, works almost without any bugs (Some bugs do pop out some times but they are connected with customization of looks). Quirky devs don't fail to put a smile on your face with their updates. Cool features all over the software. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY. It doesn't lag. All in all, Opera GX smacks.
they promise pay for download opera gx…
they promise pay for download opera gx with link from earnweb.com . but didnt pay anything ! when i has download it from earnweb.com , did tasks that it was needed: download browser with link that was provided, use it for several days long, - earnweb.com has accept tasks, but when i try to redeem money - they reject it!
bad browser
horrible browser! thay say you can download with earnweb.com link this browser, and recive payment back for this task, but never pay it! i has delete this browser and will never use any opera in future!
It’s a good browser
Love it
I've been using it for years, great browsing experience. Fast, reliable, and full of customization options. Gaming news hub is an added benefit!
I've tried most of the "alternative" browsers, and this one fits me best for daily personal use.
Good News!
Good News! They have addressed the problem with the bsod! It's an faulty internal component! The 1st Drive Temperature was not normal!
👏
I am going to have to uninstall the gamerz web browser as it is permanently broken and does not work with RAM limited and is a resource leaker memram hog like chrome any device do a test DARK MODE NO!

Will continue using OperaGX
I liked the fact that OperaGX was "gamer friendly" so I downloaded and it didn't disappoint. Native adblocker & VPN, beautiful sidebar/new-tab layout, cool UI and many custom options.
It's even user-friendly with my Lenovo laptop for school which I simply use for researching and writing on, so it's not limited to performance specs.
For now I'm super satisfied and won't switch, the reason for my switch was because Chrome suddenly added an unnecessary profile feature which ended up deleting everything so stay away from Chrome.
