Avoid. Good tour companies don't look to see if accommodation is available after taking 20%. We booked our flights and accommodation based on Orbis' confirmation of availability upon deposit of 20% for a Cornwall walking trip. They got back to say there was no availability in some accommodation along the route, and would we be okay with very not okay alternatives. Communication was augmented by automated requests for the balance. We cancelled and now have to deal with the rest of our bookings.

The constant communication with Orbys Ways was very good. Updating me on how to arrange the travels details. The Dossiers were spot on, telling me all the details of the trip. The choice of the hotels was very good, excellent locations. The transport of the luggage was so good that sometimes when we arrive at the hotels the luggage was in our rooms. Bravo!!!

All started well with Orbis Ways, e-mails were quickly answered and I was receiving the information I was needing, or so I thought at the time…
Orbis Ways is not the tour operator. They subcontract Santiago Ways. After I payed my trip in full, and even prior to my departure, they told me to speak to Santiago Ways, and I had to insist and even get upset before they replied to my messages.
The package they presented to me consisted in mainly 3 star hotels. However, I was only booked 2 out of 21 night in 3 star hotels.
All others were in 2 stars, although good for 2 stars, it was not what it was presented to me and definitely more expensive than needed to be.
Luggage transfer was impecable but was organized by Santiago Ways, who is the actual tour operator..
They did not do a good job giving advice to plan the trip: “we can do whatever you want” but, in retrospect, after having the experience of walking the Camino, you can easily realized that they could have improved my overall experience if they would have taken the time to add their professional advice.
Pricy and mediocre service. Although the overall experience was average/good, I did not find any reason to book again with Orbis Ways, they are not the tour operators, they not offer any extras that Santiago Ways cannot offer, and the professional advice you are expecting is not there.

We booked a 6 day walking trip from Sarria to Santiago with Orbis Ways. Our request for 3 people was 3 start hotels or country houses for accommodation. The package also included luggage transfer and breakfast. Although the booking was made with Orbis Ways the operator was Santiago Ways. Before the start of the trip we were provided with a clear itinerary and instructions about the accommodations and luggage transfer (voucher and dossier). The luggage transfer was very efficient and we never experienced any issues. However, the accommodations were not as requested in a few occasions: for example in O Pino, we slept in a cramped pension with no restaurant on site (we received a voucher for breakfast at a nearby restaurant). We also stayed in pousada de portomarin where there is no air conditioning (however, we had one of the best meals in the restaurant there and the breakfast was outstanding). Overall, I would recommend checking each location before making the final payment and making sure you get what you pay for.

Six walks in magnificent countryside, very green pastures, deciduous forests and loads of wild flowers. Snow still on rocky peaks.
Bus and rail station only 5 minutes walk from Plymouth ferry berth. Punctual bus service, very comfortable modern coaches. Friendly taxi driver kept good communication re pick ups and was flexible with timings. Hotels in Arenas and Sotres were small, very clean, well-appointed with friendly staff and good food. Plenty of places to eat out with good tapas off the main street in Arenas and well-stocked artisanal food shop in Arenas high street is best option for gifts. Several restaurants in Sotres with a lovely dark malted beer at Casa Cipriano. Day 1 walk to Cabeza de Juanrobre was tricky at the top as paths not clear and the interactive map didn't work for me, but some shepherds helped out. Great views of vultures. Day 2 relatively short walk from Tielve to Sotres in beautiful isolated valley, leaving time to walk around to the stunning gorge of the Rio Duje at the other end of the village. Day 3 to the mines in Andara is straightforward once out of the village. There is a bench seat in the centre of the all-important fork in the road. Day 4 is on a good track following a lovely river valley to the hotel at the top, unfortunately not open at the moment. Day 5 to the foot of El Naranjo de Bulnes is quite a hard slog for the last hour but it is worth remembering that the refuge at the top does food and cold beer and views are stunning. Day 6 is relatively easy except the last part of the descent to the village of Bulnes which is a very bouldery uneven path and muddy in places, and requires care placing your feet. The scale of the Cares gorge at the end is mind-blowing. Orbis have arranged an excellent set of walks and hotels, transfers were well co-ordinated and Sofia at Orbis was marvellous. My only issue was the interactive map (it only showed standard Google map without the marked route) which did not work for me. After fifty years of using a map and compass this was not a major issue for me but might be more problematic for those brought up to rely on GPS.

Orbis Ways were able to design my trip on a short notice (one month). During the trip they provided excellent logistics and organisation. The luggage transfers were superb, everything went smoothly. I stayed in five different hotels - some were excellent, some average and there was one place I would avoid by any means. All in all, a memorable trip and a recommendable agent.

Orbis Ways provided exceptional service and support throughout the entire vacation. Everything from start to finish was organized and arranged perfectly with a high level attention to every detail. I highly recommend OrbisWays!!

So even though we booked through Orbis Ways they subcontracted to another company which we were not informed of. When we encountered issues, the subcontractor told us to contact Orbis Ways and Orbis Ways told us to deal with the subcontractor - so basically nobody would provide assistance.
As well, their web site shows trip prices in Canadian dollars yet when you get billed it is in USD but nowhere on the invoice does it reflect this - ended up paying more than I thought. Accommodations and meals were satisfactory but in no way to they reflect the trip cost.
Would not use this company again

Accommodations, breakfast and luggage transfer was top notch!!!! I will 100% use Orbis ways again.
There are some details I would have shared before the trip, like to make sure your walking shoes are .5-1 sizes bigger than normal, to potentially break up the really long days into 2, and to have a backup mobile device in case your mobile phone incurs water damage from the rain (which mine did). It was a trip of a lifetime.

We booked a 6day trip from Sarria to Santiago with breakfast and accommodations for 3 people. We chose 3 starts/country house accommodation with luggage transfer. Accomodations were not always provided at the requested level, specially in O Pino ( it was a hostel with breakfast provided in a nearby restaurant). Other hotels didn’t have air conditioning. The best experience was with the luggage transfer: very timely and without any issues during the whole time.

I asked Orbis Ways to organise our accommodation and movement of cases between each destination on a Camino. I could not fault them. Every hotel was well located, clean and effecient. Some were beautiful and I would probably have struggled to find them. Orbis Ways provided expertise and experience that made our Camino walk so enjoyable and memorable.

Everything was all set. I was able to walk the Camino knowing I didn’t have to worry about finding a place to sleep. My luggage was transported without any issues. 100% would highly recommend Orbis Ways.

We were very happy with the whole experience of booking through Orbis ways. Everything ran smoothly from requesting the original quote to finally our trip. Our accommodations were lovely (bar very rude staff at 1 hotel but the food was so nice there that it made up for that) our bags were collected everyday and dropped to our next destination. They supplied plenty of info on our route etc. Would highly recommend. Would use them again.

Best part of the services was the luggage-handling company: always on time, never missing a hostel/hotel, never damaging the luggage, never missing an item. Superb!
The hostels were mostly good and up but there were glitches: some did not have adecuate wi-fi service (difficult spots, no signal whatsoever), others would not turn the heating on until late in the evening (no chance to shower right after the walk). Some were excellent like Hotel Mica or Casa Brandariz (but this one was so out of the way from the Camino that organizing the taxis to take pilgrims to their jump-off points would take the best part of the morning).
Th experience itself is uplifting, unique and rewarding. I'd do it again just to relive the sense of community found on the road (people meeting again after a few kms and having lunch together or a simple laugh under the incessant rain). Very enjoyable, indeed!

Perfect organisation of hotels and transfers. Very fast in answering

I would not recommend using Orbis Ways to arrange your trip. Once they have your money they have absolutely no more interest in you!
We did the Fisherman's Trail in Portugal which is absolutely stunning and highly recommended.
Our issue was with the accommodation - twice (in 5 nights) our accommodation was so far out of town we had to catch taxis to a restaurant and back - neither time was this indicated on our booking voucher.
On another night our accommodation had been changed with no prior warning and when we called Orbis Ways to clarify there was no reply or support! In the end our group was split up and we had to drag our luggage around town (despite having paid for luggage transfers) as it was left at the places that was originally booked for us (but where there was no availability for us!).
We are a group of people that walk every year somewhere in Europe and Orbis Ways was the worst travel organizer that we have used.
Before writing this review I provided feedback on the link they sent me (2 weeks ago when we finished our walk) - needless to say nobody bothered to get in contact with me regarding my feedback.
Their itinerary notes are also minimal in terms of where you can stop for coffee, lunch etc.

Once again our holiday was great everything went smoothly we enjoyed every minute of the camino will be going again
