My Review is not for Oroton itself, which is a reputable company. I was caught by a scam ad which is a direct copy of the Oroton website. An ad for an Oroton sale popped up on Words With Friends.
It offered massive discounts and I didn't realise it was a scam until after purchase. The true Oroton website is Oroton.com but this fake ad leads you to Oroton.org. (I didn't notice this at the time). I realised as soon as the emailed "receipt" arrived from the scam sale because the language was a little off. I contacted Oroton and they knew nothing about the sale or the scam ad. I reported it but still saw it again yesterday, three weeks later so please beware. In order to reclaim the money, my bank made me wait 30 days for a claim of "goods not received." The problem is, in the meantime, these people have wised up to that so they sent me a rag/piece of fabric instead of an Oroton handbag! As they used tracking numbers etc, I now have to send it back and await their response. Only then, will my bank "look into it and decide if it warrants further investigation." (Thanks Westpac). So far, emails to the sellers bounce back. These people get away with it because the banks don't really offer fraud protection in any meaningful sense.
