Excellent service from Steven Ford…

Excellent service from Steven Ford at the Inverness branch.I made my purchase from this store rather than another outdoor store due to the excellent customer service
I will be returning to do more of my shopping there rather than larger stores with no care for their customers
Keep up the high standard.It is very much appreciated.

You ended up with no item and no money back!

Place order on 1st October. Nothing arrives. No email saying it has been despatch, contacted customer service asked me to wait for IT to resolve issue. Went to millets FB page, and guess im not alone. They take your money, and try very hard not to returned it.

You ended up with no item and no money back. Just dint buy from this shop, online atleast! Do your research before purchasing.. i didnt.. and i wish i had.

Ordered a pair of walking trousers

Ordered a pair of walking trousers for my husband 3-5 days delivery. 9 days later nothing....... asked for an update and was told it had got stuck in their system. I was offered a refund or to proceed, I decided to continue to wait as I was assured they had raised an issue with IT and it would be resolved quickly as they could. 5 days later I had to chase again and this time I asked for a refund, only to be told I had to wait until the IT issues had been resolved and then they would process my refund. I then asked to escalate this to a manager where my money was refunded. Shocking way to run a business. Lesson learned and I won't order from them again.......

Still waiting, 2 weeks in

Hopeless. Ordered some socks and after 14 days still waiting for them to be despatched much less received. Phoned to cancel and told I have to wait another 48 hours before they can get around to doing that. Near the very top of my Who’s Next in Receivership’ list and you can see why.

Had excellent service on Saturday 19th…

Had excellent service on Saturday 19th September at the Newton Abbot Branch. Nathan was clear with his knowledge and advice on walking boots. He was friendly, patient and there was no pressure. Customer service is very important to us and it was a pleasurable experience. I now have a pair of waterproof, walking boots and new walking socks.

Mouldy camping chair and no replacement!

Bought 2 camping chairs (at £25 ea + shipping) to use during lockdown walks, important for me as someone vulnerable due to pre-existing medical condition.

One turned up covered in mould - Millets refuse to send out a replacement, a refund or any compensation. They insist I break local lockdown by returning it to a store outside the county or return to them first through Yodel pickup point (something I cannot do as I (a) have no printer to print the label and (b) am medically vulnerable and cannot go into a shop for the collection - why I bought it online in the first place!) _before_ they are willing to consider sending out a replacement.

Terrible service. Lots of empty apologies and self congratulations about how "we have been working hard to sort your issue" - without any meaningful action.

Tried to leave a review on their site, but that is subject to their editorial approval... so be wary of reviews you see there!

Eurohike tent purchase from Millets Ipswich

We recently purchased a Eurohike tent from Daryl at Millets in Ipswich Suffolk.
Daryl was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and I can thoroughly recommend him and will definitely be returning in order to purchase further camping items 👍

Excellent advice on walking boots

Excellent advice on waterproof walking boots from David, a friendly and helpful assistant in the Cheltenham branch. Also good to get an extra 15% discount for being a National Trust member. As a result I got my marvellous Merrell Moab2 boots at an amazingly good price. One happy customer!

I have never know a company take so…

I have never know a company take so long to deliver an order literally took week s to arrive I ordered two pair of walking pants and think order did actually walk here took that long.
Refund took even longer at least one after royal mail confirmation that my item had been returned never again....

Good service

Brought some walking shoes to wear everyday as I'm on my feet and need a good sole for support. They seemed a little tight in store, but I put this down to swollen feet after a long hot day. Next day I wore them to work, however they were still a bit tight on my toes. I took them off, looked at the shoe and saw they were a size 7 although the box said size 8??
Took them back and the staff were so helpful and friendly and gave me options.. I ended up having the store order the correct size to be delivered to my home address.
My local store is small with a small selection of products, but the staff are always so helpful.

Horrendous company !

Horrendous company !! Do not buy off this company if you want it to arrive , ordered a air tent for a family camping trip 4 weeks ago called them after 2 weeks to be told that we would be refunded as they had no stock left unless I called we would not know this , informed we would receive full refund still waiting ! So no family camping holiday , absolute let down had to cancel the site and let family and friends down , if I’d have read the reviews on this company we would never have ordered ! Should be ashamed of themselves letting family’s down like this

DO NOT ORDER FROM MILLETS - YOUR ORDER WILL NOT COME

SO ANGRY AND DISSAPOINTED.

Placed an order the 19/07/20. I knew it was roughly 10 working days for an order to be shipped so gave Millets the benefit of the doubt after still receiving texts saying 'your order is in the warehouse' after a week. It got to the week of the 27/07/20 (approaching week 2) that I emailed to say 'just be honest where is my order i want a refund if I do not hear from you. Then I miraculously got a dispatch email. I was delighted but, then a week passed and nothing. I called and spoke to a lady who informed me my order was being shipped in 5 different deliveries and that one of them had been incorrectly delivered to an address in Bromley (i'm in Kent so thats hours away). She said after 72 hours of no update on tracking from the courier I could get a refund and that would be in 6 hours. I called that evening to request a refund like the lady had told me and the other person I spoke to had NO idea what I was talking about and had said that my orders had been dispatched but wasn't even with the courier. It was at that point where I was like ok, this sounds suspicious I want a refund. The lady Eve I spoke to (took her name because I was getting fed up by this point) she said she would email the courier and find out where my order was but i'd have to wait another 4 days. So thats my holiday ruined this week. I am worrying now after reading all the below and also their Facebook reviews that I wont receive my order. I spend over £200 with you, this is inexcusable. If you cannot fulfil orders, maybe stop taking them?!?!

Do not buy, look for a good trustworthy shop

Millets service is bad, I am waiting two weeks for a reply from Millets, I have received no reply to my emails. After two weeks my order got partially cancelled and advised all my order is shipping without a tent.

No contact, no phone number, no customer service.
Its obvious the company is selling stock they do not have.

DON'T EVER BUY FROM THIS COMPANY

DON'T EVER BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! They take your money, send you bogus texts that your order is being processed and all the time knowing full well that they won't deliver. It's malpractice at its worse. And then don't think you'll be refunded any time soon or if at all. They are a bunch of crooks.

i have just visited the Millets Grimsby…

i have just visited the Millets Grimsby store and was served by Heather the store manager and Kat the stores assistant.I was well advised re products i needed and received a great deal. i would recommend using in store against online any day as the deals in store were far better and the advise with a smile i got was second to none.
