Anything for a sale, cheating customers.

Not obvious that they send their products from outside of Europe (China), site stated New York USA as HQ, it is not clearly declared nor notified when you choose country to send package to. Why not? Being honest and helpful makes customers coming back.
Now I'm forced to pay import duties just because ottocast wanted a bigger cut, and at my expense.
There's at least two European registered sites, why not send me there SINCE I change language to Swedish and currency to SEK.

Edit: generic respons from ottocast with ZERO relation to my complaint. Who is talking about shipping time? Im complaining about WHERE it ships from and the lack of transparency

STAY AWAY

STAY AWAY - Defective products and zero support

I bought an Ottocast Play2Video Ultra from this store. It arrived dead on arrival (red light issue). After acknowledging the defect and promising a replacement, the company completely disappeared and stopped answering my emails. They use 'Seel' protection as an excuse to avoid their legal responsibilities. Total lack of professionality. I'm now forced to proceed with a bank chargeback. Be careful, stay away!

Avoid like the plague. Product is a scam.

On the website it said it was compatible with my car, Hyundai Santa Fe 2025, I also thought as they were so high up in the SEO and had videos made about them they would be trust worthy and reliable.

Once I got the product it turns out it wasnt compatible, Once I messaged the customer services about it they really tried to draw out the returns process. First they sent an updated screenshot of it now saying it wasnt compatible with my car and due to this I would have to pay for all returns + an extra 20% off my refund due to it being my fault. I am 100% sure they just changed the compatibility themselves and then used it as a way to refuse to refund me.

I put some pressure on for a full refund and they eventually came around to it but the return fees, that they arent covering are already enough to suggest it isnt worth risking the product not working for yourself.

I'd avoid this company like the plague, they clearly put out a lot of content and work the SEO to appear at the top of google but I am very dubious that it even works. They dont even have an app that works for the camera. It all seems pretty sus.

DO NOT MAKE A PURCHASE WITH THESE SCAMMERS. I purchased one of their car Bluetooth products in November 2025. I have still not received the product. I have contacted them numerous times for a refund and they will not give it to me.

Terrible product and appalling customer service

Killed my Kona screen. The company is terrible with refunds - I eventually persuaded them to refund on return and, even though I have proof of delivery, they’re still prevaricating and not processing the refund. Don’t use this company.

Support is horrible,tried playing game…

Support is horrible,tried playing game with me ,do this,do that I asked refund atleast 5 times but no, finally just sent back of course they don't have it,was stupid and just sent,all I wanted was tv,it never would hook up,support was awful,I spent about 4hts trying to figurebit out but I couldnt

It drains your car battery, heats up very quickly

The ottocast heat up very quickly and when it is that hot, it stops working. It was not consistently smooth connection and needed multiple reboots/reconnection.

Additionally, I found that it had drained my car battery in just a few weeks which I think is quite unsafe and so I do not use it.

The website said it was compatable with my car. It wasnt. I tried sending it back for a refund, the company refuses to reply. I think autocast is a massive scam. I was ripped off for a piece of crap that does not work.

I guess I’m lucky…

I guess I’m lucky, looking at all negative reviews… good I read them after I made my order :D
Got my purchase 10 days after ordering it, took me 15 seconds to set it up. Still need to see how it works, but so far great experience. Quality of the piece is nice and sturdy.

Do not buy the Mini cube 3.0

Bought the Mini cube 3.0. It would not connect to my Volvo.
I contacted for returns and refund. Ottocast Customer Services were criminal-like. Obfuscating for over 2-weeks than demanding a $10 restocking fee and cost of return posting.

Buy something from temu instead

The pico was supposed to fit volvo v60 2020 but it didnt. I had to pay for the return and was promised a ottocast mini instead. Today i received a getpairr mini, something that Cost half the price on any chinese website!!! Feels like a scam company so until today i have paid around 56$ fot something I could have bought at amazon for 25$. Wouldnt recomend this company to anybody

Avoid. Poor product and awful customer support

Bought a Mini Pico direct from Ottocast on 6th Feb, their website confirmed compatibility with my car. It arrived on the 17th. Initial impressions were positive, easy to set up and the connection was stable.

After using it for a couple of weeks I noticed that the parking camera would stay permanently on after reversing, and my headunit would then be non-responsive. Had to unplug the Mini Pico to get everything back to normal, but as soon as I reverse the same thing happens. It is now doing this every time I reverse the car. It doesn't happen if I'm using wired carplay, only when using the Mini Pico.

Customer Support were very quick to initially respond. They gave me some troubleshooting steps to follow, and said if they didn't work to email back and provide my car and software details. I emailed this information back on the 4th March, and chased on the 10th March. Not heard anything back.

I've reset my car's headunit, updated my car to the latest software, and also reset the Mini Pico. None of these fixed the problem.

Apart from this one glitch it's a good piece of kit, so it's a real shame. But it's defective, either by design or I have a faulty unit. Either way, it's not fit for purpose.

I've emailed Customer Support again today to ask for a refund, and a return at their cost. But from reading many of the other reviews, I won't hold my breath!

Does not work at all! Customer service just try to stall for time by asking me to do updates and videos to prove that I’ve done all the steps requested by them.

I would have gave it 0 stars if possible.

If you want to waste your money and time, buy their product. If you want peace of mind, AVOID OTTO Cast at all times!

Does not honor written return policy—stalls on defective units

I strongly advise against purchasing directly from this company. I paid extra for expedited 2-day shipping on February 18th, yet the item did not arrive until February 24th. When the product finally arrived, it was defective, suffering from constant disconnections and glitchy performance.

I acted in good faith by attempting to troubleshoot the unit independently, even purchasing additional hardware at my own expense and testing the device in multiple vehicles to confirm the fault was with the unit itself. Despite being only 13 days into my 30-day return window, the company has refused to provide a return shipping label.

Instead of honoring their written policy, they have used stall tactics by demanding "video evidence"—a requirement that is not found anywhere in their published return terms. I specifically chose to buy directly from their website believing I would receive better support than through a third-party platform, but I was wrong.

Because they have refused to provide a return label or a refund for a faulty product that arrived late, I have been forced to escalate this to my financial institution as a bad-faith dispute. Save yourself the frustration and buy your electronics elsewhere.

Absolute rubbish

The product took ages to arrive. I had no idea it was coming from America. That being said, I've had orders from china that have arrived in half the time. But my excitement couldn't be dampened...until I realised it doesn't work. Tried it two different vehicles and nothing. First attempt at connecting it and it displayed an apple carplay set up screen on the car's display. All good...except I only own android tech. Troubleshooting from the manual didn't help one bit. In the end I bought a £23 chinese no name thing from amazon and it worked straight away!

Checked ottocast website for return instructions. Amongst the lengthy returns eligibility criteria was a fee of 20% of product cost if criteria is met. They also recommend sending via DHL. I got a quote to ship via DHL: £52.67. The product cost £35. I'm so glad I didn't buy two

Lesson learned. Ottocast is a con

Aibox pro 3 -200euro

Aibox pro 3 -200euro , doesn't work with VOLVO, I tried on 3 phones. Hard to return, then charged restock crap charge around 50 euros plus shipping back 20 euros, so lost nearly 80 euros, including all the costs involved to return the item.

Poor customer service, usb dongle didn't even fit my car properly. And If your item goes faulty be prepared for just generic reply's with no resolution. I wouldn't even buy it from other retailers as once a few months has passed there is no way for a return or repair.
