I highly recommend Chris Doidge who did a great job on transforming a tired old room into a stylish bedroom by his meticulous attention to preparation and faultless finishing. it was clear he had a wealth of experience, keeping to a strict timetable and finishing within the time agreed. I’ll certainly use him again.

Fantastic resource!
I’ve used local expert for two big jobs I needed on my house and am so impressed with its reliability. A quick search and read of the reviews meant that I could choose without worrying about the standard of work or professionalism of the tradesman and I was over the moon with the results. I highly recommend it if you don’t know people locally. I will always use it in future and am relieved to find a website I can trust. Brilliant!

Great local service
This is a great service for the local area. It gives you confidence when searching for a contractor because you know that those listed have been recommended by others and verified by Nick. I used it to find someone to repair my garden gate and was very pleased with the work.

Having just moved
Having just moved to Willand, there were things I needed done to the house. I was lucky to find left in the house a copy of Our Local Expert guidebook. I have now used three of the LOCAL "experts" listed on the guide. Brilliant! I always use local people and now I have a list of them!

Essential Information for new residents
When you arrive new to an area a major drawback is not having the contacts to tell you by word of mouth who are the good tradesmen and firms to manage all your household and garden repair and maintenance needs. Over the last few years I have regularly used the East Devon booklet for my elderly aunt's property and the Exeter one for our own. We have found a fantastic number of really good, professional, competent and reliable firms and independent workers and I really rely on your publication. It is great; thank you so much and I hope you go on for years yet! Best wishes Kate Hart
