In the 2 months I've been with this…

In the 2 months I've been with this company they tried almost doubling my DD, then fail to answer concerns satisfactorily. Now having left them they tried to reinstate my cancelled DD to extract further money. I'm in credit but they "claim" to have not received both my final readings, despite my new supplier sending them in December. This is a terrible company to deal with and wished I'd never jumped to them. Avoid at all costs.

Couldnt organise a p**s up in a brewery

Just got bill for 5 days (1st to 5th) No December bill yet tho.
Seems theyve calculated using old rates and also membership fee. Daily charge would work out at £2.80. Theyve charged me £11.80 membership fee instead. Seems theyve screwed up again!!!

Ive emailed them and sent message through facebook ( lets hope someone sorts it out) IVE ALSO INCLUDEDSCREENSHOTS OF THE EMAIL STATING THE NEW CHARGES AND SCRAPPING MY MEMBERSHIP IN FAVOUR OF STANDING CHARGES!!!!

Ive even worked out the correct bill for them as they cant seem to do it themselves.

As of January 1st 2019 this was scrapped and a 28p per fuel daily standing charge should have been applied. Also the unit rate is the old December 2018 rate of £0.1042 kwh instead of the new January 2019 rate of £0.1265 kwh for electricity. 

The gas unit is incorrect too. Ive been charged December 2018 rate of £0.0366 kwh instead of the new January 2019 rate of £0.0441 kwh.

I have worked out what this bill should be using the correct units and standing charge. Breakdown is below;

Electricity = 77 units x £0.1265 = £9.75 + daily charge @ 28p x 5 days = £1.40

Gas = 286.9 (9 units) x £0.0441 = £12.54 + daily charge @ 28p x 5 days = £1.40

and the bill should total £25.09

Please amend this!

P.s Duel Fuel standing charges are capped at £177 so please explain whyyou are charging £204.40????!!!!

Awful energy supplier. Outfox have become chaotic & confusing with an array of baffling tariffs & constant changes to them. Their recent Winter/Summer Direct Debit (DD) scheme was flawed at the outset & having failed, they now intend to revert back to a 12 monthly fixed DD system. Not content with 4 or more price increases in the last year, plus monthly membership fee increases, Outfox now intends to scrap the monthly membership fee in favour of a 26.7 pence per day standing charge per fuel. This results in a 127.17% increase compared to my current monthly membership fee! Apparently they intend to advise customers about this on 15 January 2019. If you ring them, their telephone queues have been very lengthy with customers placed 20th or higher in the wait queue. Their email response time is equally appalling; it took them 21 days to respond to me! Furthermore, they have changed my tariff from Zapp to Blast without any prior warning email & guess what, the Blast tariff unit prices are higher than my old Zapp tariff unit prices. This, combined with the introduction of daily standing charges results in a massive price hike. Be wary of opting for their 9 months fixed price Boom tariff that requires customers to pay for 6 months of energy upfront in advance, followed by 3 months of DD payments & then after the 9 months fixed period, you are automatically switched to their relevant standard variable tariff. With rumours abounding that Outfox will be the next energy supplier to go bust/fail, it is risky having to pay monthly DDs in advance but highly risky to pay for 6 months in advance. There are other more efficient & far more customer friendly energy suppliers that can beat Outfox on price with no exit fees. Even if one has to pay slightly more, the additional cost is far worth it, to get stability, clarity, good customer service & peace of mind. I have duplicated my review on this Outfox.com review site, as seemingly there are 2 Trustpilot Outfox review sites, Outfoxthemarket.co.uk & this Outfoxthemarket.com - Very confusing for reviewers & readers to have 2 review sites for seemingly the same company!

DO NOT JOIN RUBBISH COMPANY. STILL Trying to get my credit back .put up my D/D without telling me .not keeping the D/D promise if not informed 10 days before u get a refund. Lol .

Definitely the worst energy supplier…

Definitely the worst energy supplier that I have ever dealt with and as a regular switcher I have dealt with quite a few. Direct debit has doubled without justification and trying to contact the company is impossible. 10 day after I emailed them in desperation I still have not had a response. Avoid them like the plague is my advice.

Outfox the customer!

This is my second review of this company.like everyone else my winter bills have douubled in price even from £53 per month to £108 per month, which I cant afford after being made redundant two weeks ago.These increases are unjustified.
My acount has always been in credit.
I have phoned to get my money back,after holding on for half an hour ,but this is not possible they say.
I have now switched away from such apalling behaviour.This is no way to treat customers.I dont know how long i will have to wait to get my money they pillaged from my account, back again!

Went to change my electricity supplier…

Went to change my electricity supplier and moved to Outfox the Market as the cheapest supplier. Within days I received a letter stating it was raising prices.

I returned to a price comparison site to move elsewhere. This was blocked multiple times by OFTM. Eventually took 3 months to move away, only after threatening to complain to the regulator did they cease objecting so I could eventually leave. Stressful experience, will not return.

poor service all round

I unfortunately took the plunge to go to this company. I was looking at dual fuel and they made a real pigs ear with the transfer of my gas stating my existing supplier was blocking it. It transpires they were quoting the incorrect MPRN from the national database. After several e nails and a ‘lucky phone call’ they told me to take it up with my current supplier. When the correct number was provided they started to deal with the full transfer. I am now at the point where with the price hikes I want to move again. I have spent several hours now on line and the phone to cancel. Do they have any staff let alone competent ones???

Terrible shameful company

Terrible shameful company. 4 price rises in the 6 months I have been with them. Near doubling of Direct Debits just before Christmas so they can use their customers as creditors in a cash grab.

Seriously, who uses 290 pounds a month of electricity alone in a small 3 bedroom house. They seem to think this is fine and will not budge even though I have never ever been this amount in my history of Energy usage, not even close.

Don't even bother trying to contact them, they work out a shed with 2 people and take great pleasure in mocking their customers and will go out their way to not answer the phone or hang up when you have waited 1 hour. They will use incorrect figures for your usage and simply make it up so they can grab more money from you in their time of need.

Administration incoming.

How OFGEM can allo w a company like this to run is baffling. They also operate under several Pseudo names so be very careful indeed.

Joining them will be the worst decision you have ever made.

They objected to this review so it had to be modified.

Even now they have set up two Trustpilot accounts,one .co.uk and the other .com so they can mitigate the bad reviews.

KAPOW!!!! do not get outfoxed by these numpties.

Just look at their responses to customers here if you want a good laugh.

For those of you still posting on this site you really should be posting on the other Trustpilot site..”outfoxthemarket.co.uk“...where you will find over 4500 reviews. In addition the other site has been ‘adopted’ by OTM whereas this site hasn’t.

AVOID at any cost

I was with them from June 2018. Initially, i payed £60 / month. few days ago, in December, they send me an email that they will increase my direct debit to $170, almost 3 times more, even at this time I am £42 in debit!!! This is a joke company!
I will switch to a more professional company! AVOID this company!

Appalling Company. Zero Customer Service

I live alone in a flat and work full time. This is how my direct debit changed over the course of 2 weeks!
Start - £43.77 per month
Next - £76.60 Winter then £32.83 summer
Next - £61.27 Winter then £26.26 summer
Next - Change of pricing - Rise of £187.74 annual
Now - £96.62 per month - WOW!!!
I have never managed to get through to anyone nor have they replied to any emails. The "chat" service alawys seems unavailable and the phone number gives "this number is currently engaged, please try again later" so I can only assume this "company" is run is someones shed.

CANCEL all DD payments to this company…

CANCEL all DD payments to this company until you have used up all of your credit. Check daily as they illegally re-instate these cancellations! This company is about to go BUST! Please do not switch until you have run your credit down to zero. You may be able to claim from Ofgem months down the line, but why run the risk and waste your valuable time? AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!

Don’t join this company

Having a laugh at the 5 star ratings, if you manage to get through to ask why your dd has went up when you are 3 months in credit, they fob you off with will pass your details to their accounts department but could take 2 weeks to get a reply still waiting 4 weeks on for that to happen but quick enough to change my dd to the new amount without my authority, sort out your company and if thinking of joining this sinking ship DONT as your dd will increase as soon as you sign on the dotted line

What if...

A little simple arithmetic using round numbers - if OFM get their 100,000 customers in credit by £250 each they can walk away with £25million, leaving OFGEM and another supplier's customers to pick up the pieces. I'm sure that's just not on the cards.

Fourth price rise coming in Jan 2019…

Fourth price rise coming in Jan 2019 and terrible customer service.
Made the move and gone to AVRO - fixed price for 12 months at a lower price than Out Fox.
Had to leave as their totally irresponsible 70/30 direct debit scheme been forced onto customers along with the price hikes was the last straw.
Formally complained to the company and raised it with the Ombudsman but no joy.
At the end of the day vote with your feet.
Avoid this company.

They don’t give a flying FOX

Joined sept 2018 and could not submit meter readings ! contacted OFTM Via webchat and submitted my one and only meter readings. I observed price hikes and by early Nov began a switch to another company. I submitted photographic evidence of meter readings once I switched to produced final bill (though in 3 months i have never received an email prompt to submit a meter reading or have I ever received a bill). No reply to emails and spoke to Justyna via webchat. Assured my switch will not be blocked as im two months in credit ( i explained i have never received a bill?)but I cancelled Nov DD as strongly disagreed with changes made. I am contacting OFGEM for advice with regardito £25 DD cancellation fee and a possible inaccurrate final bill with no meter readings recorded. I have lost sleep over this .. but doubt OFTM give a flying FOX. Any advice from other reviewers greatly appreciated.
