Tried the cherry chestnut daily conditioner and it didn't leave any color besides on my roots. It also irritated my scalp very much. I'm still trying to get the color off of my head. Never buying from this company again.

I have been buying their “extreme purple” for five years and loving it but all of a sudden in 2026 they changed the bottle sizes to be smaller but more expensive per oz, the product does not feel conditioning anymore, and the real kicker - the extreme purple turned my hair BLUE!!! To add insult to injury, when I complained about the bottle sizes and formula change, they said customers ASKED for that. Apparently customers asked for more expensive products that are much lower in quality. At least own the fact that you’re greedy and don’t care if your product is trash. Will never be buying again.

Products that are natural that DO NOT contain endocrine or hormone disruptors which is almost impossible to find. Reasonably priced and discount on subscription. Products make my hair feel and appear thicker, healthier and the color vibrant and shiny. Finding Overtone was literally an answered prayer after damaging my hair with other products with toxic chemicals. My hair has started to grow again. I am able to color my hair once a week with the mask and heal it at the same time! The shine gloss enhances the color daily and give my hair the shine that I naturally had in my 20 without the damage that other glosses contain. Overtone color line that repairs the hair and makes it look better that also passed the YUKA app test showing that all ingredients are non toxic and good for the hair, scalp and overall health. I'm so thankful that I found you after searching for years. The easy auto shipments make it all the more easier. No more trips to salons using products with toxic ingredients that damage hair. No more trying products that claim they're natural only to scan with the YUKA app and find they are not. Overtone is the holy grail of color and hair repair. I hope you stay in business til the end of time. I seriously can not say enough about how this has saved my hair especially after menopause.

Overtone is a great company! I've used their purple for brown hair for years and love it. I have the subscription to save money and to just have it sent without worrying about it. I highly recommend them.

the fact that I can do my own hair at home, MYSELF! Lighten with their lightening agent, and color RUBY RED. I have been every color on the spectrum, started with red, and five years later back to red! full color circle!

I've been a loyal Overtone customer for over 10 years. For the longest time I was a dedicated Rose Gold but switched to Pastel Pink (now cotton candy pink) when the Rose Gold formulation became increasingly orange instead of pink in hue. However, after my most recent order I'll be looking for a replacement to the daily conditioner. They have recently changed the formula so it is much thinner than the previous product and no longer deposits much color if at all. They also reduced the packaging size to 4.5 ounces - down from 8 ounces. I understand that in this economy a company may have to make some changes but the changes made unfortunately are the kind of changes that have turned me from a loyal customer and referral source to a dissatisfied consumer looking elsewhere.

If Overtone reverts the changes and goes back to the old daily conditioner formula I'll consider coming back but not with the current, soupy, thin, color in name only daily conditioner.

I am a believer in this product. I have naturally gray hair and the overtone semi permanent color and conditioner in serene silver keeps my hair shiny and healthy.

My blonde friend wanted a darker color, more brown. She used their (specifically labeled blonde to brunette) espresso color deposit mask, and it turned her whole head green. We did everything the directions said. The mask was super dry and hard to apply as well. Completely not what is advertised and a super disappointing and bad product, there is also no place to leave any kind of negative review which probably leads more people to unknowingly buy it. Prob dont buy it unless u want green hair

I have been using the Extreme Red (now Ruby Red) for years. It was my hair color for my wedding, and I love how it looks in the pictures. I have used it as a primary dye, and also to brighten up a box dye. Sometimes it leaves faint red stains on my pillow case or towel, but they always completely wash out in the laundry. (If I use a patterned pillow, I don't even see it.)

My natural gray hair is very light in the front and dark in the back. I purchased Stormy Sterling mask & conditioner duo to try to even out the drastic color difference. I'm very pleased with the results and how soft my hair is. I've struggled in the past with hair loss so love that this is such a gentle product that doesn't damage my healthy hair. It's so pretty! I love it!

Very good product but very very pigmented! I had blue hair for 5 years and I used the blue depositing mask for years to maintain my color, you just need to wear gloves when applying or it can tint your hands too!

I’ve used this product for red on brown hair a couple times over years for a change. It works fades after about a month for me but it changes. Really love it, also love how silky my hair feels after the initial deposit.

I love the cruelty free and vegan color. There are so many to choose from it's hard to pick one color or four. I love using the pink or red for brown hair, those really knocked my socks off.

I have platinum blonde hair so hair color slides off my hair.
My first try with this lilac left very little hint of color so I reapplied to dry hair for 25 minutes and it deposited a decent amount of color. It looks more like a stonewashed blue, which is greying my look. Unlike semi permanent color, it hasn’t washed out first shampoo so that’s a plus.
I’m ordering a couple of pink colors to mix with it and see if I can’t get a pretty lavender color

I love being able to mix it up and not kill my hair! Bright lasting colors, that get compliments whether in sun or shade, conditioned healthy hair and scalp.

Been buying Overtone since 2020 and love it. I recently tried some other brands and realized Overtone is definitely superior. I'm excited to try out some new color blending this time ♥️

It makes my hair look shiny and the color is great

LOVE the color, smell, and lesser toxicity, but it was WORK to clean it off my shower and tub walls so it wouldn’t stain. I would love tutorials or tips for easy cleaning or prevention.
