Anyone considering using this company…

Anyone considering using this company needs to look on Companies House and search Adam Overton. You will see many companies in his name dissolved. Overton broke their contract with me and abandoned my new build house after I challenged the 'variations of contract' that they issued me with two weeks before my home was to be finished, amounting to £33,377.00. I had already paid under contract for the whole of the build apart from items removed from the costings as I had to purchase the kitchen myself and pay the installers for the heating system, for which Overton billed me for 'loss of profit on items removed'. Adam said that he only quoted for a softwood painted staircase and would discuss if I wanted otherwise even though their quote says oak. (which I had to purchase myself as they never returned to site even though it had been paid for within my contract with them). Adam never graced me with his presence and made a major decision on my house without discussing it with me. To save themselves money they lowered my whole property which has totally made my view of the vista less enjoyable. Only when I queried markings on a nearby building was I told that it was to get levels. Nathan Overton explained that I wouldn't want a lot of ugly brickwork showing. (I live on a small hill and expected steps to my rear door). Nobody discussed this with me before the deed was done and the brickwork up to first floor level.
I had to move into a house with no electricity, water, internal doors, joinery or drainage. Obviously if seems below Adam to deal with an old lady who, at 75 years old had to cope with finishing her home herself. I previously left a review and received a Solicitor's letter within a week demanding that I remove it.
At the time, I was hoping to claim back the money I had already paid to them for the work not done so I did remove it.
At the end of 2024 my Solicitor wrote to them with the costs for completing my home. Overton Consultants was dissolved and went into liquidation.
Those of you that are happy with their work will be pleased that a new Overton Company has been set up to continue .....
I am over £100,000 out of pocket with no hope of recompense. Good luck to anyone willing to take the risk.

Never brought a job in on time yet

Never brought a job in on time yet, poor payers of suppliers and contractors, gone bust and started up again the next day and have a number of court cases against them after walking off jobs. Don't trust.

Great team

Adam and his team were very professional throughout our project. We are delighted with our extension and the finish throughout. The team at Overton ltd were hard working, arrived on time and worked to the schedule we had agreed on at the start. We would definitely use them again.

The Overton Team was an excellent group…

The Overton Team was an excellent group of professionals and most of them exceeded expectations. We had a weekly meeting with Adam where he listened, wrote notes, made suggestions and gave us his perspective from his building experience. The budget was kept to. The standard of work exceeded expectations and we were pleasantly surprised at the quality of materials. Only when we asked for 'extras' did Adam price those separately for us to make a decision. We would definitely use them again.
