they are going to get someone killed

they sold me 2 life jackets that was 1 season from expiring when i called Joy told me they was on clearance so they was as is no return i just thought they was on sale.if you bought one from them check the date.

Great Experience

After reading some of the low reviews for Overton’s I was initially hesitant. I placed an order for navigational lighting anyway and was not disappointed. From the date of order until the item(s) arrived took five days. Information pertaining to my order was readily available and tracking via FEDEX was a breeze. I’m extremely pleased with the experience and will be ordering from them again in the future. Nap very pleasant experience.

Great Fenders

Ordered 2 black boat fenders for 41’ sailboat which were half the price of everyone else. Was not a name brand but the quality looks great. Took a week for full regular delivery with tracking. Was happy with my order and full experience.

This place is the worst

This place is the worst! They've held my money for a return hostage for near 3 months now. Call and try and verify they have sent a check and nobody knows whats going on. Everytime. Same story. Ive waited and waited.

Beware of ordering anything from this…

Beware of ordering anything from this company. They sold me a high end slalom ski(Radar Lyric) which was clearly defective losing all it color with no use. Upon further investigation, the ski was a CHINESE knockoff with NO serial number and Overtons refused to do anything about it because I had not discovered this within 90 days. Also, the ski defects were not covered by the Radar company because the ski was “ a couple of years old” even though sold new by Overtons

Ordered a handheld radio so I'd have it…

Ordered a handheld radio so I'd have it on July 4th. Called and spoke to customer service as I wanted to add some items to order - order is in Q to ship immediately on June 27th so no go on adding another $50 in items. Not great for sales, but hay - their customer service is awful. Received the radio at 2pm EST on July 7th after the July 4th boating holiday. NEVER AGAIN WILL I DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!

Absolutely terrible company

Absolutely terrible company. I ordered an item that would not hold air and they did not help me with a return. All they said was, "you have to contact the manufacturer". I called them several times and they told me that someone would call me back....no one ever called me back. When I called them for the 4th time, they told me that I had to call the manufacturer. When I called the manufacturer, I could not understand the gentlemen because he did not speak English. Why is the onus on me to start a return that I bought from the company for over $1500? Stay away and beware. The last email I sent them was also not-returned.

Ordering from this is fine/Returns are the problem

Ordering from this is fine, but returning is ridiculous. You bear the cost for shipping (even if wrong size) and if you happen to buy something that gets shipped from a third party you have to pay retail shipping to return something. Also, it says it may take up to 48 hours to receive the shipping label - I have been waiting a week. It is just not worth the trouble. They will soon be out of business unless they change.

Refusal of request for information

Tried to get a copy of the receipt from a fraudulent purchase. Know who the criminal is and the contact information, but company still refuses to cooperate. Way to go - as long as you get money, you could care less if it's stolen.

Ordered woven vinyl marine flooring on…

Ordered woven vinyl marine flooring on May 5th, according to the website vendor does the shipping and it would be 7-10 days. After waiting and not getting a delivery schedule from anyone I contacted Overtons and the vendor on May 19th.
Was then informed that the product was on back order and they would notify me when available.
This is totally unacceptable but now I have no options except to wait. Have a customer that is upset with me and there's no options.
Very poor customer service

Don't Waste Your Time

I ordered some quick release mounting brackets for my shallow water anchor system. Upon placing the order, I was told the items were on backorder but due in and would be shipped out on the 12th. Having not received any shipping notice from Overton's, I contacted them on the status of my order and was told it would be another 2-3 weeks before they would receive the order. I tried to cancel the order, and then they told me I would have to wait to cancel it until 3 weeks after my order date, which means I have to call them back in 8 days. I have set an alarm to cancel this order the first thing on March 25th. This was my first and last time dealing with Overton's and I would not recommend them to anyone.

Wasted money

Wasted money. Ordered an exact-fit boat cover for a 2007 Sea Doo Challenger 180 with Factory Tower through the Overton’s website. I was very careful to make sure I was ordering for my specific model since it was custom made and not refundable. They then transmitted the order to Camping World to make the cover. Well what I received was for a much larger boat with the slits in different placed and did not fit. Contacted Overton’s Customer Service who in turn put me in touch with Camping World who said they made what the vendor requested. After getting no where with them, I contacted Overton’s Customer Service and was told nothing can be done. I followed up with an email to the Overton’s CEO through the contact shown on the order to make sure you’re completely satisfied. No response! Well, I’m 0% satisfied and out over $500!

Customers beware

Customers beware, DO NOT buy anything from this company. They lie on shipping dates then when received the product It does not meet the description.Then when you try to return it they push you off 2-weeks before they respond, after several emails. Then they say they need approval for the return. Then when approved they tell you that you are responsible to pay to send it back!
Absolutely a joke and it will be on you!
Purchase from a company who is not hard up!

Was calling about an outboard motor

Was calling about an outboard motor. Answered by a rude, curt woman who hung up on me in the middle of my question. No way would I purchase from a call center who won’t even identify where they are located. Maybe hire some folks in the USA that actually like their jobs and have some knowledge about the products.

You're #1 with me (out of 5 stars).

In keeping with most reviews on here I also give them one star. I ordered a Panther 55-0410 and paid for it. Kept checking for a week to see when it shipped with no luck. Called customer service and told it takes 2-3 "business days" to ship. Fine, I get that. 5 "business days" later still no shipment. I call again and they say it is on backorder which is someting they could have told me when I ordered it. Now, it is going to be 3-4 weeks before back in stock, 2 days to fill the order and 7 days with FedEX (another loser) for delivery. This item was $50 cheaper than Amazon but in reality is nothing more than click bait and futures speculation. I see this as lying and deception. If this is how Overton's does business I want no part of them and I buy a LOT of boat parts.

Terrible customer service, DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!

They do even deserve a 1 star, spent over $4000 on boat seats and it has been nothing but a hassle. Some items arrived damaged. The pricing shows pedestals but were not included. The items are not made correctly, the stitching look like crap. No screws/bolts to secure the seats. There is much more, customer service is terrible. They talk over you. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!

The returns policy is a sham.

The returns policy is a sham. They sent me the wrong product that doesn't fit and they will not return or exchange. I lost $700 I cannot recover. Rip off thieves.

On 1/26/23 I purchased a Gladiator…

On 1/26/23 I purchased a Gladiator Super Brawler 3 person towable tube from Overton's.It had been
stored inside my home since then.

Tuesday 7/2/24 was the first occasion I had to use it since I purchased it. We towed two adults for about 1/2 hour at a fairly slow speed (~24 mph) on Lake Don Pedro, a large reservoir in northern California. It was calm with very little chop and we did no wild manoeuvres.

After the ride I noticed that the tube was obviously deformed and found that the outside case had a zipper in the back that was opened and ripped apart from it's seam. The air bladder inside was deformed and bunched up in the back part of the case. We tried to drain the water from the toy but couldn't, it was all we could do to drag it back to the boat launch and dump it off at a dumpster there.

It was an obviously defective and possibly dangerous product. I hate to think what might have happened to my two young granddaughters who were up to ride it next, accompanied by one of their parents.

I reached out to Overton's through email and direct phone contact, to both front line and supervisors. They were congenial but stuck to their scripted responses that it was past its one year warranty (obviously no argument from me) and there was nothing that they could do.

I am well aware that things fail and products break. It's how the providing company responds to their failures that relays their loyalty to either customers or profits.

I urge my fellow boaters to heed my recommendation to avoid purchasing any products from this company, as the failure of one of their defective products may not just result in the loss of a few hundred dollars, but worse.
