Shuts down your servers during peak traffic and has really unhelpful support

Rented a few VPS at a decent price and initially had no problems, but their overzealous "Anti-Hack" service kept shutting down our servers in the middle of peak traffic without any recourse for us to disable or configure this "Anti-Hack". Support was unhelpful and took WEEKS to finally get any kind of useful response.
Very dissatisfied with their customer service experience the seemingly unconfigurable "monitoring" they run on their customer's rented machines, that tends to shut down your server after a few false positive packets.

The best in everything!

One can confidently say that, at this moment, OVH is the best company on the market in every aspect! Excellent servers that have problems extremely rarely. The best network. I stopped using other hosting companies and take servers now only in OVH.

I especially want to thank Daphne from the sales department! Everything happens much faster and more professionally with her.

I recommend OVH to everyone. There's simply nothing like it in the market!

I'd like to share my experience with…

I'd like to share my experience with OVH over the past few months:

OVH's entire system always seems to be in a sluggish state, not suitable for those who need to manage a large number of services purchased from them. I've used systems from other providers, like FDC, GTHOST, GCORE, and OP, which always maintain the best user experience. In this aspect, OVH seems to be quite proud, thinking that their way is better. However, they don't consider the fact that when people need to manage or create a new order, they have to open numerous pages, each with a lengthy loading time. They can't even locate the services I've bought by searching the IP of my purchased VPS.

I dread encountering weekends when making payments or placing orders, as their performance becomes unbearably slow, always beyond my expectations. It seems that a bank transfer must go through numerous departments and individuals for approval, followed by a long waiting period.

Their ticketing system is a huge problem. When I encounter issues and prepare to submit a ticket, I become anxious. Yes, they believe their ticketing system is perfect and technologically advanced. But they don't realize that when I need to submit a ticket for inquiries, whether for sales or technical support, I don't need cold, impersonal text and a lengthy wait for a response. I want to quickly locate and resolve my problem. Otherwise, why would I submit a ticket? After a long wait, they often reply with irrelevant answers, as if they're never fully awake.

If you carefully examine the invoices OVH sends you, it's a disaster. They merge the invoices, and I can't pay for individual services. Why aren't they separated? Can't customers make choices? Even more bizarre is when we've requested to cancel some VPS, the next invoice still includes charges for those canceled services. I have so many services; do I need to spend an entire day auditing these invoices one by one? Then, I can only choose to pay for everything and submit a ticket, asking the claims department to release the unwanted VPS and refund the money to my account balance, where it can only sit.

Have you ever experienced a server being disconnected within its valid period after paying for an order? I have. And then, it's the repetitive ticket communication process. I even hired someone specifically to help manage OVH invoices and services.

We have a group of servers in Paris that always disconnect simultaneously at midnight Hong Kong time, as if by magic. Our only choice is to submit a cumbersome ticket, endure a long wait, and then receive a polite but ambiguous response. I think, fine, I'll restart them and cancel them before my next invoice arrives.

Some advice for those with a large number of services at OVH: it's challenging to use OVH conveniently. Unless all your purchased services are grouped together at one moment, and you don't have many service types, it might be simpler. Of course, they have a paid technical support plan, which requires an additional few hundred dollars per month. Yes, you need to pay more to get timely responses. Is the slow ticket handling and response aimed at promoting their paid support policy? However, I'm unwilling to accept it because, to my knowledge, AWS offers such a service, but OVH is not AWS. They cannot provide the same ease of use and other features as AWS.

After all that, let me summarize. We spend over $10,000 a month at OVH and receive an unpleasant experience and service in return. There are two aspects of OVH I'd like to commend: 1. OVH's network quality is excellent, which may be why we continue to choose and use their services. 2. OVH's sales managers are genuinely patient. They are always willing to listen to my difficulties and provide feedback, especially Darren from Singapore. He's an amazing person who even helps me with my issues during his time off and offers purchasing advice. I am very grateful to him, and perhaps this is another critical reason I might continue staying with OVH.

vps with ovh

I ordered a vps. Got an email stating ovh needed additional 48h to process. In the email they provided a link to check the status. The link didn't work - before I could see anything a nagging message message to enroll to a 2FA kept appearing covering any other content. Checked it under both FF and Chrome. After 4 days with still no email I managed to work around this annoying 2FA request and I could at last see the order was cancelled. Upon clicking on "cancelled" I learnt that the order was processed with the history showing still under processing. Not a single information or email what was the problem. Only after contacting their live CS I learnt some data from my address was missing. Apparently ovh customers need crystal balls and there is no slightest attempt to rectify the problem if some more data is still needed. They blatantly cancel the order and that's it. Good it all showed up so quickly.

Fantastic support!

Daphne helped me select the most appropriate datacenter for a deployment with specific latency requirements that solved the hardware and network requirements equation. I've been working with OVH in Europe for 15 years, and I'm glad they now also offer their services in Singapore!

I got help from Darren to solve all the issues and upgrading my OVH server. He was really helpful to help me on detail step by step on how to do it. He helped me follow up internally and give solutions.

Great service and company rep

Go Singapore Team!

I placed an order with OVH and was sent to verification team for verification purposes. Unfortunately everyone in verification is presumably not alive as I have made many attempts to contact them but there were no response what so ever. Even and acknowledgement of any kind was none existence. Then I made a call to OVH Singapore and was entertained by Mr. Darren. He was very straight forward and very accommodating to any of my requests as well as my grievances. In less than 24 hours everything was delivered. I highly commend Mr. Darren into assisting me and in any further deals which anyone might have to deal with OVH I would Highly recommend everyone to use SG team and especially Mr. Darren instead of contacting OVH support other from Singapore for you will be sending emails and contacting a 100" Think Brick wall without any life or response.
