Terrible Quality and Terrible Customer Support

I had a truly disappointing experience with Oxy-Plants and would not recommend them. I should have read their reviews online before ordering and recommend everyone take a look on google and instagram. I ordered two Bird of Paradise plants, and while one arrived in ok condition, the other was clearly damaged from the start. Within days, it began wilting, tilting, and showing signs of poor health. Despite following their care instructions to the letter, the plant continued to deteriorate.

I reached out to customer service immediately, but instead of offering a solution, Marika responded with vague advice and contradictory claims. First, they blamed overwatering, then underwatering, then too much sunlight, then not enough—none of which made sense given that my other Bird of Paradise, placed in the exact same conditions, is thriving. After weeks of back-and-forth emails and two frustrating phone calls with Marika, I was met with nothing but excuses and refusal to take responsibility. To top it off, they even accused me of repotting the plant—something I never did.

In the end, their "solution" was to offer a mere 20% refund for a plant they delivered in poor condition. This level of service is unacceptable.

Oxy-Plants might be cheaper than competitors like Patch Plants or Beards & Daisies, but you truly get what you pay for. With those companies, I’ve always received high-quality plants and outstanding customer service. Oxy-Plants, on the other hand, sells subpar products and refuses to stand by them. If you’re looking for healthy, well-cared-for plants and a company that actually values its customers, I strongly advise shopping elsewhere.

Dreadful delivery service delivered…

Dreadful delivery service delivered twice to the wrong address and left on the side of the road. I would not use again.
Seriously need to sort this out otherwise they will be out of business.

I wish I had read these reviews before…

I wish I had read these reviews before buying a plant for over £50 from this useless company.

The plant arrived in bad shape and it’s pretty much dead within circa two weeks. That’s £60 down the drain.

Little to no customer service, just what appears to be a robot repeating the distance selling regulation / their terms and conditions of returns and refunds within 14 days. No apology for the poor standard of the product, no offer of a replacement, nothing!

They are clearly a company that does not value their customers or expect much from their products. I would stay well clear.

Damaged plant received, now dead and no response from company

Seems to be a bit of a scam company. I ordered a palm plant back in December along with a pot and mister. The mister didn’t arrive with the order and the plant had a lot of broken stems and wasn’t very true to the online picture. I was given a 20% refund due to the quality and refunded the mister which I was more than happy with however unfortunately within a couple of weeks of having the plant it died, despite it being in the correct conditions and following all watering instructions. I own a lot of plants so I can only assume it died due to all the damage it shipping. I’ve been trying to get a full refund for the plant since the beginning of January by Oxy Plants aren’t replying to my emails and they don’t pick up the phone. Really disappointing customer service and the plants aren’t cheap! I’d really appreciate a response from Oxy as I think it’s pretty shocking for a business to not even respond to a customer when there’s a problem with the order.

5 Star rating for Peace Lily & taupe pot

I ordered a Peace Lily (30-50cm) and a taupe pot for my cousin who had lost his mother. He said that the gift was beautiful. Also I have ordered from Oxy-Plants before, sending a Cast Iron Plant (50-70cm) plus a white pot to my nephew and, again, he loved it.

Damaged plants and poor almost non-existent customer service

I have bought couple of plants and watering device from this company, it was my first purchase.
The plants arrived bruised and some leaves were broken, definitely could of been better protected within the packaging.

One of the plants was advertised 140cm+ but I received barely 133cm. Don't want to be picky about nature at all but I paid more for what was advertised as a taller plant.

Another issue was that the advertisement for the watering device was misleading, with pictures of the product and deficient info about it.

When contacted oxy-plants about all of the above, I received a brief response from John that they have sent me a refund for the watering device.

After that, I've sent another email, received no response. Sent another email asking for a reply - no reply.

So they just ignored me since.

It's been over half a year now and I wouldn't say that my plants are thriving at all. The plants don't look healthy, as most of the leaves were damaged and the plants could not recover from that.

I have definitely learned my lesson, and will stick to my usual plant shop which is a little bit more expensive, but for that I get high quality of both plants and service.

I would not recommend this shop at all.

Excellent Service from order to delivery

I recently purchased, at short notice, a Kentia Palm for my mum's birthday. The whole process, from ordering to delivery, was superb. Friendly, efficient communications with the Company, speedy delivery, excellent packaging and a gorgeous plant.
Mum was super stoked🙂.
I will use this Company again.
Thank you.

A really sad experience which has left…

A really sad experience which has left me very upset. The plant either left the company damaged or was hit by frost during transit. It was starting to collapse when it arrived so I sent pictures to the company. The following day it had completely collapsed like frozen lettuce. The company recognised there was a problem as they offered me a 20% discount. I asked for a replacement or refund and was told I had to send it back in resalable condition with no ripped leaves for this to happen - impossible to do as it didn't arrive in saleable condition and its smaller leaves had completely disintegrated. Companies like this obviously hope you will just give up and they can keep your money - and they are right - I am too upset to pursue this with them. Don't deal with people with these ethics.
Edit ** The day after posting this I had an email saying a replacement would be sent when there was no danger of it being frosted. So I assume they have accepted it was frost damage. If a replacement arrives I will update this review to reflect the situation.
Edit 31/01/25 During the week a replacement plant arrived. There was quite a bit of leaf damage ( brown and yellow spots) and it was smaller than the original plant but acceptable and after a couple of days is looking perkier. It's just a shame it was so hard to get a replacement- as so many of the reviewers here found the rules for a replacement are designed to put you off - 'a replacement or refund are only offered on return of an item in saleable condition'. That rules out any item which was sent out or arrived damaged.

This company is incredibly bad

This company is incredibly bad, and their communication is awful. I ordered some grass that never arrived. When I reached out, I was informed it would arrive in a couple of weeks. After not hearing anything for 3 week later, I followed up again, only to find out they could no longer provide the grass, as if they had stopped offering it altogether. I had to keep contacting them instead of them reaching out to me. I strongly advise staying away from a company like this that is uncommunicative. Order #165204]

Badly packaged = broken plant and tub. No replacement after 6 weeks wait.

My friend gifted me an Elm bonsai. Sadly the packaging was inadequate and it turned up with a shattered pot and broken main branch. I flagged this to the company and they said they would provide a replacement. 6 weeks later and despite chasing up, I was still waiting so I went ahead and bought my own replacement tub. The tree survived so far although it is taped up! I got a hollow apology and no offer of a partial refund.
