Terrible Customer Service

Placed an order for a face mask that never showed up in the mail despite showing a delivered status. Contacting Padi gear support along with USPS was a waste of time. Response from Padi's support was "it shows it was delivered" following an email to confirm my shipping address. I had already confirmed the correct address on the confirmation order. Padi's support doesn't follow up on emails and after multiple calling attempts to the support team to see if a replacement order would be sent. They simply choose not to respond. AWFUL customer service!

We pre-ordered the face masks

We pre-ordered the face masks. I love the fact that they are made from recycled ocean waste! Yes, very comfortable. My son has no problem wearing all day at school, practices, and visits with family. They wash up great and dry fast! I would highly recommend. In fact, I'm re-ordering for gifts!

I’ve been scammed by PADIgear and lost…

I’ve been scammed by PADIgear and lost almost $100 in the process! They claimed the masks were on their way, but they never turned up. When i reported back, they told me it was up to me to contact the carrier - so i wrote back to ask who the carrier had been! They said: USPS. BUT they claimed to have no tracking #! There was no way i could track w/o it. They kept the money!!!

Buyer Beware

Buyer Beware. Expect zero Customer Service. Similar experience with ordering facemasks. Just to get a simple response to an email is impossible. I’ve written 8+ emails and still not one response. The site dies not offer a phone number either. You cannot speak to a human being at their facility.
Save your money.
I was always a NAUI Diver anyway.... what was I thinking😂

Stick to plastic cards, not merchandise!

Like others, ordered face masks on 20 April, full amount paid, no news for weeks.

I emailed and got the blah blah response of unexpected demand. Finally had an email to say masks are dispatched in 23 May only to follow the link to my order to see the status ‘Order Confirmed’.

Another email sent, reply received with another link where I could follow my order with the status as ‘dispatched’ but absolutely no tracking number.

Another email sent to request a refund since I am not sure I will ever see these masks. Maybe they will arrive in time for the next pandemic?

Poor form PADI.

Good still not received, replacement now sent.

Terrible customer service. I ordered masks on the 20th April 2020. They were apparently dispatched on the 20th May 2020 however I still have not received them and they are refusing to do anything about it. They told me to contact Royal Mail. Very dubious company. There is no telephone number and everytime you email they send a bland reply and refuse to engage properly. Do not order from this company.

Update- after contacting the company via Facebook they took the issue seriously and sent a replacement. I’m presuming you need to get through to certain people for action to occur. When i managed to contact the people that can make this happen things did happen.

Beware! Delays & poor customer service - June 2020

This is a review of PADI Gear EU, the PADI affiliate selling clothing & gear in the UK and Europe:

I agree with previous review about dispatch timeframes given online by PADI Gear. If only I had known!

Ordered eco-facemask (made of recycled marine plastics with inserted PM2.5 filters) with estimated dispatch stated as around 27 April. Full payment taken on day of purchase but product only arrived 1 June!

PADI Gear made no unprompted attempt to update or advise the customer of supply chain issues or other problems delaying delivery of the product.

After no news 2-3 weeks after purchase, I emailed customer service. (Be warned: they have no phone number, just an email address.) Then they promptly replied explaining there were delays and they would email on shipping soon. I then waited another 2 weeks, no product received & with no further update from PADI Gear. I followed up with another email. A reply came a couple days later explaining a global shortage of PM2.5 filters to be the cause of the delay as well as social distancing measures for the business, and that product would be shipped 'soon'. I had to reply requesting an actual estimated delivery date or I would request a full refund.

Miraculously, I got a positive reply that shipment would be imminent. Product finally arrived 1 June.

A far better and simple service approach for lengthy product-wide delays is for the shop to send updates *before* customers have to ask (repeatedly)!

As a customer I am quite understanding given the current Covid-19 pandemic business & supply chain effects. But there is little excuse for misinformation (dispatch time frames) and terrible customer care (re. no updates on delays). Money paid to a business adds to the interest in their business bank account, not yours. So when there are unexplained lengthy delays and this level of service, it's really not fair.

In all, although the delivered face mask product is suitable, I cannot recommend any purchase from PADI Gear at the moment.

This is a shame as I only made the purchase based on good experiences via PADI dive certifications over the years. Thought this would be a trustworthy company.

Disaster

Disaster.
The things I bought are some koinas. The cheapest material with only sewn-in emblems. Caps for a horse. I bought two for my wife and me. They are not suitable for use. A fleece blouse is a sack. And all for $ 130. Never again. In Egipt, diving schools offer much better material than PADI. I'm dissapointed.
