They only just fit
They only just fit. had to crank in the frame, could do with being 10mm longer for error & zintec coating would be a great addition. on the plus, there exactly the same profile.

Hi Martin, thanks for taking the time to leave a review and we’re glad to hear the profile is exactly the same.
On the fitment: our panels are made with around 4cm extra allowance for fitting purposes, but depending on the condition/alignment of the frame (age, previous repairs, etc.) they can still be a tight fit and may need a little adjustment.
Regarding zintec coating: we don’t use zintec as standard because it can produce toxic fumes when welding, and it’s also not part of the original specification for this panel.
Thanks again for the feedback we’ll look into adding extra material (a little more length) on future batches and see what changes we can sensibly make, so we really appreciate you flagging it.

Lightweight Land-rover doors
First off, fantastically well made, I ordered a set of Land-rover lightweight doors top and bottoms, there better made than the original ones, although there was a bit of a mix up with the door bottoms being the wrong series doors being delivered, but Paintmanpanels were straight on it, and the correct door bottoms were delivered in no time, so yes, apart from that I'd say ten out of ten for Paintmanpanels, I will for sure be dealing with them again, so well done 😃

Great job. Would have liked to be aware of the time lag between order and dispatch.
This was not critical in this instance. It does appear to be relatively common when order motor parts in general.
Would use again but hope to avoid tree stumps and crushed panels! People very friendly.

Front Panel lower repair section
The panel arrived quickly and was well packaged. However, the tolerances on the pressing meant that it didn't line up very well with the Land Rover Series 3 front panel where it was to replace the lower section. After welding it on quite a bit of filler and grinding was necessary to achieve a smooth edge.

I purchased 2 2nd row doors for a…
I purchased 2 2nd row doors for a defender a while back which were perfect. No holes to drill , all ready for painting. About a month ago I purchased 2 front doors for the same defender. Unfortunately I can only assume they changed supplier. The doors arrived with a grey rough finish which required rubbing down with wet & dry before painting. Also 14 holes had to be drilled into the bottom of the door to cater for the rubber seal , 10 for the seal and 4 for drainage. A good rattail file is also required to improve door handle access. Nothing major wrong with the doors, shame supplier was changed.

Hi Trevor, thanks for your review. Just a little information as to why this is the case:
Our front doors are totally British made and are etch primed ready to be filler primed and painted. The doors span a time period from when bottom door seals were attached to the sills to when they were attached to the doors. If these 7 holes per side were drilled they would be incorrect for earlier models. By not drilling them, it gives the option for them to be drilled by the fitter. It’s very hard to remove 7 holes if fitted to earlier vehicles. The finish is down to individual manufacturers choice. Here at PMP we select the best panels from multiple manufacturers to get the best quality and fit possible. Sometimes the appearance looks different but the quality is what counts. We take all feedback seriously and thanks again for your observations!
