I have just completed my Level 3 Lead Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship. Although this wasn’t easy for me as it entails a lot of commitment regardless of what you have going on in your other life. The workshops were a real highlight of the programme. The coordinators Heather and Luke consistently created an engaging and welcoming space that encouraged participation and learning. I would also like to acknowledge my tutor, Sam, for overseeing my progress and supporting the completion of the apprenticeship requirements.
I believe that with the help of Paragon my work practices and opportunities have improved and I’m happy I completed my training.

My experience with paragon was very supportive. I enjoyed the workshops and the way the content was presented. My personal tutor Kirsty Welding was supportive throughout my apprenticeship and my end point assessments. She was very reliable and always on hand if I needed a question answered.

I have been completing my NVQ Level 4 in health and social care, whilst working full time as a registered service manager. I had a few setbacks at the start due to changes in my tutor but then I was assigned to Alyson Scott and she made a huge difference to my experience. She spent time with myself and my deputy who is also completing a qualification. She supported us, explained topics in a way that we could relate to. Gave us guidance when we needed it and was available when we needed her.

Delivery an amazing job in this field. All the tutors are nice especially Naomi Graham, Nicola Chelton, Nicola Baird, Francesca Gilbert etc etc.

My experience in my NVQ Level 2 was inspirational. Although I’m not a very technical person online, my tutor Sarah Conebar was extremely helpful to me to set up my learning and prepare very well for my tests and eventually exams to which I’ve passed well. I’m immensely proud of her efforts to reach this milestone.
The way the course was set and delivered was simple enough for me to continue reviewing models, discussions and executing tasks ….were possible due to my friendly tutors.
The extraordinary assistance I got from Sarah Conebar had encouraged me to attempt NVQ Level 3.

I only put 3 stars because for me the process has been pretty long. It took 3 years to get my qualification as more than once the course was interrupted. The start of the course wasn’t the best. But the end of my course was amazing, fast and that is only thanks to my last assessor, Alyson, which was amazing. She made me feel very supported, always available. Alyson together with the rest of the team members involved managed to get me up to date in a matter of months, allowing me to pass with a Distinguish. I am happy I got to do this, I do have to say that Paragon skills provided the right materials and right support through, what I believe to be one of their best assessor which would be Alyson.

I want to express my sincere gratitude for the outstanding support provided throughout my learning journey. This deploma has been really good to do i have learned so much, but i couldnt of done it without my amazing tutor alyson scott. She has helped me through everything. She went above and beyond for me and i couldnt fault her for anything. Theres not enough words of praise i could give. Thankyou so much alyson for everything and always pushing me but giving me the reassurance i needed.

When I first started my Level 3 Apprenticeship I was feeling very stressed as the tutor didn't get back to me regularly. I had either 4 or 5 tutors all in all and one also left without informing me. Towards the end of this course I had a tutor called Sarah who was extremely helpful, efficient extremely supportive. It's a shame that I had such a bad start but it ended up well and I received a distinction. I would suggest Paragon look into who they are recruiting as tutors and make sure they are up to the job. Also I believe it was because they had such a large caseload of students and were probably struggling to support everybody.

I completed my apprenticeship as a Senior Health Care Assistant Level 3. The journey was made more challenging because the tutors kept changing. But i’m glad that Jolene Hornsby finished the journey with me because in the last weeks she reassured me that i was capable of passing well and she guided me as i prepared for the observation, including arranging for me to practice for the interviews with her colleague.

Thanks to Ms. Sarah and Ms. Jolene for such a great support to me and taught me a lot beyond what I expected. I ensure that I will continue to learn more and support others.

Doing my NVQ level 3 lead adult care wasn’t easy, having gone through a few tutors and unable to find work life balance it was a real struggle specially because I work nights. Once I was paired with Jolene Hornsby, she was able to create a schedule that was more suited to me and my work, she checked in with me and my progress regularly and was always making sure I understood the workload. I’m really grateful for her support as some of my colleagues dropped out after a few tutors change. I’m glad I stuck with it otherwise I wouldn’t have finished this course nor come across a tutor who values and understands the work life balance and can create a safe learning environment to help us achieve our goals.

My teacher Sarah was amazing, sooo helpful, kind, caring, lovely and really nice. Problem is the 2 teachers before her were not helpful at all.
It was not a nice experience, I would not do it again, unless I would have such a brilliant teacher as Sarah from the start. I don't know why Paragon employs teachers who don't have a clue what they are doing.

I have completed my NVQ 3 lead adult care worker and found the experience great, my personal tutor Gurpreet has been amazing and I felt extremely supported throughout, I found the workshops with Luke and Heather very informative and felt at ease and very welcome. A big thank you to Gurpreet and both Luke and Heather for all the support 😊

I completed my level 5 apprenticeship- leader in Adult care in December 2025. It was a challenge completing this whilst working as a deputy manager of a nursing home but the learning was exciting, I learned things about my job role that supported me to make real life changes. Jac Smith my tutor was so supportive, we chatted through the challenges of leadership and I grew every day. She believed in my ability the whole way through even when I didn't!
I am now a registered home manager utilising my learning and learning even more!

I can not thank my personal tutor Jolene Hornsby enough ! She understood and supported by different learning needs,offered reassurance and motivation when needed,helping me to achieve confidence professionally and personally and a lead care level 3 qualification.

Joanne Heritage has been an exceptional NVQ Level 3 tutor, and I genuinely could not have completed my qualification without her support. She stood by me during some very difficult times at work and through personal challenges, never making me feel rushed or pressured. She encouraged me to take a short break when I needed it, stayed in touch, and consistently motivated me to keep going until I successfully completed my NVQ with a distinction.

Her feedback was always extremely detailed, clear, and focused on real learning and improvement rather than just passing the course. She has a real talent for bringing out the best in people and building confidence alongside professional knowledge.

I didn’t know what I was expecting for completing an NVQ level 2 but my trainer Harisa Ahmed gave me the chance to complete this. I am thankful for her for being understanding and patient and helping me to complete this. I would highly recommend this, not only does it show how much you already know but gives you the chance to learn new things that you maybe didn’t know
